And this is the Russiagate conspiracy from which they’re trying to distract us — 16 Comments

  1. Trouble is, as one commenter on Margo’s thread stated, the people do not live in the weeds.

So, unless subsequent exposure achieves de-weeding, nothing happens to move the needle on public opinion. Civil War option remains, however.

  2. This reveals nothing I didn’t already know, but now they’ve got the documentation. Leftists and their media will ignore this.

  3. “Leftists and their media will ignore this.”

Sure will. Question is however, will the DOJ?

  4. sdferr: This may part of the reason the left is so intent upon destroying AG Bondi.

  5. That may very well be so Kate. AG Bondi has an opportunity to display her courage or lack of same. It’s not an easy call, to understate the matter. Possibly the most consequential decision an Attorney General has ever been called to make.

  6. I’ll re-post a link to Lee Smith’s Tablet article “The Brennan Forgery” here so people can look to it as a supplementary fact pattern on this hoax: https://www.tabletmag.com/sections/news/articles/brennan-forgery-russiagate

    Here’s a snippet of what it’s about:

According to Durham’s final report in May 2023, the U.S. intelligence official “who initially received the information immediately recognized its importance—including its relevance to the U.S. presidential election — and acted quickly to make CIA leadership aware of it.” Brennan himself, the report shows, “personally received a copy of the intelligence.”

According to Brennan’s handwritten notes, in an Aug. 3, 2016, meeting at the White House, he briefed Barack Obama and other U.S. officials, including then Attorney General Loretta Lynch and then FBI Director James Comey, about the Clinton Plan intelligence. The notes claim that he alerted them to the “alleged approval by Hillary Clinton on July 26 of a proposal from one of her foreign policy advisors to vilify Donald Trump by stirring up a scandal claiming interference by the Russian security services.”

Ratcliffe declassified Brennan’s notes in late September 2020, when Ratcliffe was Trump’s director of national intelligence. He also declassified a second Clinton Plan intelligence document that Durham found during his investigation. This was a CIA memo dated Sept. 7, 2016, addressed to Comey and FBI agent Peter Strzok, that referred the Clinton Plan intelligence for further investigative action.

What’s odd is that virtually no one working on the FBI’s Trump-Russia investigation, known as Crossfire Hurricane, saw the CIA memo. According to Durham’s report, “None of the FBI personnel who agreed to be interviewed could specifically recall receiving this Referral Memo, nor did anyone recall the FBI doing anything in response to the Referral Memo.”

  7. Gabbard’s finding is clear: All Russia Hoax roads lead to Obama.

At this point he has to be thoroughly lawyered up.

  8. Just like Hillary’s server, nothing at all will come of this. After all these years of Democratic crimes I have become convinced that the Republicans like to put on a show, but will NEVER carry through on any prosecution. Lots of grandstanding in congressional hearings, a scathing report that nobody reads and then is forgotten. It’s just the way Washington operates.

  9. Foghorn Gowdy, god what a insufferable twit, like a real life version of Nathan Smith’s prosecutor in my cousin vinny,

I would assume Judge Jeanine would handle things more diligently, there is still the question of venues, and jury pools to consider though, see Sussman and Kleinsmith,

  10. There is no amount of solid evidence implicating the culprits that will cause the MSM to report on any of this.
And if by some miracle they do, it will be in the form of questions strongly suggesting that the evidence is tainted, invented, just a get-even ploy engineered by Trump.

You can bet your house that if there are any indictments – and don’t hold your breathe – the culprits will plead the fifth and/or nor remember anything at all.

It is totally clear that demokrats and their pals can violate any and all laws and ethics and really never be held accountable.

At one time I never would have believed that top govt officials in the USA would conspire to destroy an innocent individual by concocting a false narrative.
This also means that top govt officials could concoct some narrative to PROTECT someone who is truly guilty of malfeasance.
And how many years back has this sort of stuff been going on; since 1950? 1940? 1930? 1920? 1910?…….

Of course, the MSM, by some miracle of miracles, more often than not, is a co-conspirator in spreading the false narratives.

  11. probably since the 70s with Nixon, as my friend clarice would tell you, from her part in handling a tangential case to Watergate, which she won on appeal, but the subject of same, was still stained by the likes of Anthony Sampson, to cite two authorities of that era,

nixon was guilty of probably a fair amount of ill considered domestic and foreign policy misteps, the ones on the domestic front, were probably most agregious, but this was what he thought would win him plaudits, the gaming the prices, and the interest rates, perhaps the gold standard was not sustainable but the way it was disengaged was not helpful

he did try to clawback some portion of spending through impoundment, a shopworm tactic that the Court in it’s infinite wisdom forestalled, setting the stage for the tsunami of debt, of course he would measurably challenge the welfare state either,

had a time server like Mark Felt not chosen to sabotage him over feelings,
how might things have turned out,
there might not have been an October war that ended in the Oil Shock, which created the petrodollar, that turned the little steps of inflation into a galloping stampede

a whole gaggle of scribes might have found useful work, but Sy Hersh wasalready spinning his web, and this went on for decades,

see his apologia for KAL 007 and his ‘jaccuse against
    Israel,

  12. most of the media, are unserious people at best, and knaves at worst, see how they glommed onto this, as well as the ridiculous covid rules, how they supported every part of the inflationary boondoggle with a straight face, and this is true across the pond and even on the coasts of the Levant, with some tweaks they continue to play the same card against Bibi Netanyahu, because of the Oslo delusion, as Ben David has noted,

look at how they have cheered the dismantlement of major cities, they are barbarians in garb and properly credentialled, they chase phantoms and they don’t care who gets hurt,

that Claire Shipman one of the worst has descended to the ranks of academia at Columbia, where she cheers the Saracen mobs, having learned little and informed her viewers less,

the original generation of news readers like David Brinkley who was the last of these may have had their faults but they wouldn’t have fallen for this fraud,

he had retired around the time that CAIR was really pushing it’s tentacles into academia,

  13. @John Tyler:There is no amount of solid evidence implicating the culprits that will cause the MSM to report on any of this.

Wouldn’t matter if they did. Death thins the ranks of their remaining audience every day. You can see that from the advertising they run.

Median ages for viewers of Fox News, CNN and MSNBC range from 67 to 70 years old, meaning YouTube essentially offers viewers who are at least 30% younger. EMarketer says more than 50% of YouTube viewers are still millennials or Gen Zers.

“Median” means 50% of viewers would be OLDER than 67 – 70. Think on that.

  14. For context people 70 and up are about 13% of the total US population, and that’s where Fox News, CNN and MSNBC are getting half their audience.

  15. “Foghorn Gowdy” … I like it!

    =====

“This also means that top govt officials could concoct some narrative to PROTECT someone who is truly guilty of malfeasance.” Someone like Obama, Hilary, Biden … ?
