Another one takes the Fifth: Bernal
When Jill Biden was First Lady, a man named Anthony Bernal was her top aide. Now he’s pleading the Fifth in refusing to answer questions in a Senate probe, much like Biden’s doctor did. See this:
The House Oversight Committee wants to know who was in charge of the White House.
Comer asked Bernal two questions:
“Was Joe Biden fit to exercise the duties of the president?”
“Did any unelected official or family member execute the duties of the presidency?”
“During his deposition today, Mr. Bernal pleaded the Fifth when asked if any unelected official or family members executed the duties of the President and if Joe Biden ever instructed him to lie about his health,” stated House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer.
Remember how many times during his presidency Joe Biden referred to an amorphous “they” who were instructing him on what to talk about and what not to talk about, what to do and what not to do?
Comer has threatened to call Dr Jill….the 5th will get a workout. Political theater…nothing will come of any of this.

Give them immunity. Then they can be jailed for contempt if they refuse to answer.
What did anyone expect, I like Gringos comment about immunity.
When you realize that “they” is Barack Obama’s preferred pronoun it all makes sense.
If there were no fifth amendment right not to incriminate oneself, Bernal can just say “I don’t remember, I don’t recall, I know nothing.”
This is known as the Sgt. Schultz strategy of Hogan’s Hero’s fame.
Bernal can rest easy knowing that all those that have “testified” before any Republican led committee and lied through their teeth, suffered no consequences whatsoever.
It’s sort of like robbing a bank, you get arrested and immediately released – no bail needed – and you walk to the nearest bank and rob that one, get arrested – again – get released again, no bail needed, and so on, ad infinitum.
And once the “show trial with no consequences” is over, he can just jet over to CNN , MSNBC, etc., and land a very high paid, cushy job as an expert in whatever
the broadcast network assigns.
If I have my facts correct, a congressional committee can only request the DOJ to indict someone. If this is so, perhaps it’s best for the DOJ to just get started on this and skip the congressional committee hearings.
Anyway, when it’s all said and done, all finished, nobody will be indicated, nobody will go to jail.
Bernal is a brave American hero.
Cynicism is no excuse for not writing your Congressmen.
Are any of them being accused of a crime? No? Huh. All we want to know is if they knew Joe Biden was no longer mentally competent to be president. And I doubt SCOTUS would overturn the pardons, there is no qualification for that in the Constitution.
Consider other nations; To whom were they, did they think, they were communicating on international issues?
Did they have a second set of phone numbers on the QT?
