  1. Amidst the flurry of “FBI” news adjacent stories today comes this:

Breaking news this morning on @MorningsMaria on @FoxBusiness, @FBIDirectorKash @Kash_Patel & @FBIDDBongino @dbongino revealing to @MariaBartiromo that the FBI will be moving from the Hoover Building in Washington, D.C.

Which, good. That ugly sucker of a building ought to be demolished pronto.

  2. Not a surprise, but interesting nonetheless.

Researchers confirmed the presence of crystalline water ice in a dusty debris disk that orbits a Sun-like star 155 light-years away using detailed data known as spectra from NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope. (The term water ice specifies its makeup, since many other frozen molecules are also observed in space, such as carbon dioxide ice, or “dry ice.”)

  3. Just read that 5 Rep in the House Committee voted against the Big Beautiful Tax Bill. What do they want? More graft and corruption?
Or, the Dems to win big in 2026 and 2028? So they can just sit around and collect the graft and do nothing?

  4. Shirehome, no, they want bigger spending cuts. I hope they compromise on something.

  5. Melania seems less naive than Ivana. After meeting him, she got and read his book Art of the Deal, Then used it against him, by making him work for the privilege of dating her. For example, she didn’t give him her phone number, but asked for his instead, so she controlled the timing.

  6. I notice that there are a lot of naked link comments on this website. I and many other people find them annoying and never click on them. These posts basically mean that the commenter thinks that his time to write a short description of the link is more valuable than the time of readers. For this reason, many websites, including, for example, the bogleheads, ban them. Neo, I urge you to do the same. I realize that moderating might take a lot of your time, but at least you should make it clear that it is your policy to ban them.

Here’s a link to the Bogleheads policy

  7. those are some of the most ethical members, it’s peculiar how if you promise something, you can’t follow through with it, the Dems don’r follow that logic, no matter how destructive to the body politic, they follow through,

Ot it seems that Andor, that passion project of Tony Gilroy, detailing the rise of the rebellion stuck th landing, at the end, even if the execution was flawed, initially,

the character arc of Luthen, Skargaard’s role, which seems to be a amoral machiavellian is interesting

  8. @huxley:And if you haven’t watched at least one episode of AbFab, you haven’t lived.

I agree, and I am a huge fan.

    Bob Wilson:

    Me too.

  10. About a week ago, we were swamped with the projectionism of irreligious leftists who waxed endlessly about what they wanted to see in the next pope. They were shivering in excitement at the prospect of a pope even more ‘progressive’ than francis. Then Leo XIV was presented to us, and there was much hay made about his reposting of critical tweets of trump.

Now, they are failing to hide their disappointment as Leo XIV, affirms marriage is between a man and a woman.

    https://www.advocate.com/news/pope-leo-heterosexual-marriage

“As bishop of Chiclayo, Peru, he objected to a plan to teach about gender in schools, saying, “The promotion of gender ideology is confusing, because it seeks to create genders that don’t exist.”

The fact that this is even considered newsworthy signifies a nail in the coffin of western society.

If statements like the one quoted above are representative of his thinking, he will be exceptionally better pope than francis.

  11. I don’t think Neo need bother herself with policing naked links, but I won’t click on them. I need some information on why I should bother.

  12. Re: AbFab — Patsy/Ivana

In Episode 2 Bubbles runs down a photo of Ivana while Patsy glowers. It’s not a coincidence that Patsy looks like Ivana.
