FBI and Home Land raided the offices of an Attorney. But this time not a Trump supporter.
Poor Michael Flanders, stuck in a wheelchair with all those horrible Cockburn in-laws around. Even the name is like a disease.
That reminds me of a weather song I learned in fourth grade.
Whether The Weather – Lyrics
Whether the weather be fine,
Or whether the weather be not,
Whether the weather be cold,
Or whether the weather be hot.
We’ll weather the weather,
Whatever the weather,
Whether we like it or not!
Alongside the much-deserved praise and optimism voiced during the first days of the Trump Administration, it is imperative to sound the alarm over the new “Stargate” project. One cannot possibly overstate the threat posed by this enormous AI initiative, which has an insidious “medical” component.
Please, everyone, watch Trump’s press conference of January 21st. Larry Ellison, CEO of Oracle and one of the principals of Stargate, stood at the podium and told us that this $500 billion AI project will cure cancer by means of a vaccine. You get a blood test, AI analyzes the blood, finds “fragments of cancer tumors,” and then designs a customized “vaccine,” just for you, using mRNA genetic manipulation technology, within 48 hours.
Translation: If you somehow managed to escape the death and disability of the Covid jabs, you’ll soon get another chance to enjoy the benefits of the mRNA kill shots.
Good Lord, somebody stop them. Is there a limit to the bloodlust of these psychopathic, globalist, trans-human control freaks?
Day four “feels like month four,” Puck’s Tara Palmeri whined Thursday, noting she was hesitant to report the news for fear of “piling on to the deluge of Trump news.”
New York Times’s columnist David Brooks complained the media had a four year vacation from doing their job and is “once again” having to cover the large amount of news Trump generates.
“After a four-year hiatus, we are once again compelled to go spelunking into the deeper caverns of Donald Trump’s brain,” he wrote.
President Trump is visiting North Carolina and then California to raise the issue of the poor FEMA response in the former and how to deal with massive costs of rebuilding Southern California.
It is absurd that we are funding disaster relief from the current budget and has allowed the mission drift of FEMA and another slush fund for politicians to reward constituents that has nothing to do with what should be it core mission.
The fact that there was $20 billion in COVID relief in this years budget is a head scratcher.
President Trump has stated that the states should be responsible for rebuilding their own states– as the money should be more efficiently spent which makes sense.
FEMA should be disbanded/reduced and we should adopt a National Disaster Emergency Fund. Each state would be charged an annual premium based on risk assessment. Some states might not even be charged a premium. States that regularly suffer disasters would pay more.
The federal government would initially underwrite the fund. This would not cover insurance at the local level but would mitigate the extra expenses individuals face during a natural disaster.
There was a time when states maintained a surplus/rainy day fund. It’s time to hold state government’s accountable for their own citizens. This would be a way to force states to save money to pay for the conditions they sometimes create by allowing building in high risk areas of their state.
FEMA has never worked well in my experience it’s supposed to be a supplement to what are over extended state resources, back in 92 during Andrew, it had become top heavy with high tech communications equipment for riot control and what not, for reasons that were unclear, then governor lawton chiles failed to demand assistance until deep into the storm, and that caused a mess of trouble
for those who lived in the Carolinas did they do a good job during Hugo, then they did reasonably well in the next cycle until Katrina, but the local authorities had complicated matters, considerably with their mismanagement of the levy systems, the evacuation from low lying areas, and other matters, of course it served the mantra of W didn’t care, because racism or something else,
one does recall Mississipppi which was more directly impacted faired better than New Orleans, but then they didn’t have Nagin and Blanco
Rita was handled marginally better,
for an interval, they seemed to have managed well until the next round of storms in 2017 of course they blamed Trump, because of Maria, and the local authorities made a mess of things, with the power grid distribution of relief supplies,
of course, the regime abused the resources for it’s purpose, of resettlement,
@AWOL Civilization:it is imperative to sound the alarm over the new “Stargate” project.
My main objection is that it’s another racket for the connected. But I was pretty sure that Trump was going to be doing things like that. Old rackets are getting busted up and some new ones are going to take their place, and sometimes that’s the best you can hope for.
one of the problems is for example, open ai’s platform, favors the likes of axios and the atlantic, his man of the year profile, made him sound as much as an anti musk as possible, and we have seen the lack of due diligence with other programs involving RNA
Elon raised whether this joint venture between ellison altman and son is sufficiently capitalized thats on the financial end
For those that have the time and inclination to hear a different perspective on the benefits of AI, here is Tucker Carlson talking with Chamath Palihapitiya, of All-In Podcast fame and a Silicon Valley investor/entrepreneur. Fast forward to 27:06 and the segment “Is the US at Risk of Losing Its Place as Leader of the Free World?” and then “The Traps That Kill American Ingenuity”.
Chamath makes the case that governments around the world are building out AI capability– from the Saudis to the Chinese. This race is going to elevate the potential for great technical and security advantage to potential competitors/adversaries. He asks the question– “who do you want to have that power?”
The first segments are about Chamath’s personal journey to find meaning amid massive wealth.
He also talks about a company he’s invested in that uses AI to great benefit. This device reads biopsies in real time and aids the surgeon in making sure he has cut out all the cancerous cells in Lumpectomy surgery.
huxley wrote the below text last night. Along with a real post ’70s-Carter to Reagan-vibe, I’ve had similar thoughts. This all feels beyond coincidental.
Trump has set a new land-speed record for the first few days of a presidency!
Almost certainly better than he would have done, had he won in 2020.
Of course, we’ve now got a deeper hole to dig out of. But we’ve got a solid shot at another two terms with Vance or someone else, which I doubt would have been possible if Trump’s terms had been consecutive.
…
It reads like a chapter out of the Old Testament, of a people losing their way, being tested, then finding their (sic) back again.
RE: Stargate, I don’t think the announcement was more than Trump claiming an early win for his economic policies.
I think this might make the basis for an effective strategy to apply to technology companies working with AI going forward.
The US is going to streamline the regulatory process to build out AI infrastructure and it’s required energy needs– but that will be funded by private investments, not the government.
Traditionally a company pits local/state/regional governments in a bidding war to supply energy/infrastructure to locate a new facility. In this case the energy requirements for AI will be massive. By co-locating the energy source with the data center the transmission expenses are avoided. These energy sources could at some point be connected to the larger grid and possibly sold on the market.
A large AI data center is estimated to consume 6 GW of power which is equivalent to the power needs of a city of 3 million people.
I wonder what percent of the liberal population is in total denial that American money was funneled to the lab at Wuhan by Fauci? Just looking at the comments on a yahoo news article about Trump dropping Fauci’s government security detail.
I’m all in favor of more energy generation, but not excited if it’s there to plug in the next iteration of industrial-scale bullshit production.
I would say a good plurality if not a majority,
they don’t seem to make the connection between the gain of function research and the terror that still traumatizes them
The libs I monitor today are whining about the removal of all “environmental justice” material from fed sites. I learned at my last few years at the college while I was on the Environment Committee that “environmental justice” is just a code for social justice/socialism projects gussied up to hitch onto the climate change wagon. All a big scam, and now no longer supported by the government.
