  1. Looks like Decent Joe wants to go out with a bang….

“Sweden Tells Citizens To Prepare For WAR: Five Million Households Get Pamphlets On How To Get Their Home Ready For Nuclear Armageddon… As Biden Is Accused Of Trying To Start World War Three”—
    https://blazingcatfur.ca/2024/11/18/sweden-tells-citizens-to-prepare-for-war-five-million-households-get-pamphlets-on-how-to-get-their-home-ready-for-nuclear-armageddon-as-biden-is-accused-of-trying-to-start-world-war-three/

Wow! He’s got even the Swedes panicked!!
Is there anything the “Best President Since Lincoln”(TM) can’t do?

  2. Not just Amsterdam…but it sure is wondrous to behold municipal officials of both Amsterdam (the Mayor) AND Berlin (the Chief of Police) speaking out of both sides of their mouths.
(Guess it’s a matter of context..)

“Berlin police warns: ‘City is dangerous for Jews’”—
    https://www.israelnationalnews.com/news/399391

(How many cities are there in Western Europe? Not that North America should gloat…).

  3. no 5 – Has Shapiro sent the State Police to arrest her and her fellow law breakers?
Has Thune said he wouldn’t seat the stealer?
Has the Justice Dept. arrested her for election interference?
And the Dems saying there is not Fraud?
Are the late night talking JA’s condemning the steal?

  4. The only way to protect the filibuster is to amend the Constitution to require it. The Republicans should propose such an amendment and tell the Democrats they have 270 days to ratify the amendment. If the amendment isn’t ratified, the Republicans should get rid of it on November 1, 2025 and push through their agenda on party line votes. I note that it only took about 3 1/2 months to ratify the amendment giving 18 year olds the vote.

A Senate with the filibuster protects minority rights and I support it. But any Republican senator that doesn’t understand that the Democrats will eliminate the filibuster the minute they hold the Senate, the House, and the White House isn’t listening to them. Except for the political courage of Sinema and Manchin, the Dems would already have ended the filibuster–and their refusal to end the filibuster marked the end of those two senators’ careers.

Absent a Constitutional amendment, the filibuster will end in the next ten years–the only question is which party ends it and how much that party is able to stack the deck to perpetuate their majority. The Democrat’s position on the filibuster is 100% situational–it’s a check on the raw power of the majority when the Dems are in the minority and a tool to frustrate the will of a bare majority when they’re in the majority. This really isn’t that complicated–make the Dems put up or shut up. I would bet a large amount of money that if the positions were reversed, the Dems wouldn’t give the Republicans a chance to make the filibuster permanent. What could be fairer?

  5. Taking at Legalinsurrection.com besides Bucks , Montgomery and Philadelphia counties are open rebellion.
They need to get locked up

  6. Bucks County…Diane Ellis-Marseglia
Sounds like she needs a good:
    a) tar & feathering
    b) flogging
    c) hanging
    d) mix & match from above

  7. Regarding #3, yes, Dana Carvey is an incredibly talented comedian. But how can SNL write that skit without throwing Rachel Levine in the RFK, Jr. scene? No guts at all.

  8. Regarding the ballet dancer, in Kershon, Ukraine Vladdy’s army has been murdering non-combattents (civilians) with FPV and other drones. The Russians boast about it on line as “going on safari” or “safari hunting.”

So being defenesterated is the old school means of Vlad waging terror upon civilians, one at a time.

  9. While we’re wishing for constitutional amendments here’s 2 more:

Fixing the number of SC Justices at 9.

Specifying the minimum and maximum number of voters per House district, which will (with reasonable numbers) increase the size of the House.

  10. The invaluable (and outraged) Prof. Jonathan Turley:

‘“Precedent… Doesn’t Matter Anymore”: ‘Democrats Dispense With Pretenses & Principles In Pennsylvania’—
    https://www.zerohedge.com/political/precedent-doesnt-matter-anymore-democrats-dispense-pretenses-principles-pennsylvania

    + Bonus (Kunstler):
“Beyond The Consequence Of The Great Pretending…”—
    https://www.zerohedge.com/political/beyond-consequence-great-pretending
    Opening graf:
“If you boil down everything the woked-up, psychopathic Democratic Party did the past eight years as it drove the country into a ditch, it all amounted to a Great Pretending.…”

More like “Great Gaslighting”…but I hate that word…so let’s go with “Great Fabrication”…

  11. @Chad King

They should also set the supreme court at 9 justices in that same amendment. Or we can add a few of our own.

  12. Chad King, I hope you have communicated with DJT’s staff, Speaker Johnson, and Leader Thune. Good ideas like that need to be brought to their attention. It can’t hurt.

  13. From the Wash. Examiner article: “Casey has refused to concede.”
Perhaps he should also be subject to the “attentions” suggested by John+Guilfoyle on November 18, 2024 at 6:48 pm, directed at those selected county election officials. At some point the candidate is just as guilty of extending an illegal balloting action as the counters themselves. Sad to think that the “city of brotherly love” and the seat of the constitutional convention is now so determined to illegally attempt to retain power. Some form of charges should be leveled at these people, so perhaps a Trump DOJ will look into that possibility. Otherwise it will just happen again in 2 or 4 years.

On Chad King’s proposal to amend the constitution and enshrine the filibuster: from the perspective of the prudence of conservatives, having a supermajority vote to pass legislation is in line with the concepts of keeping the national government as small as possible, and “making sure the people really do want the laws that are passed”, so that they will also be more willing to follow them. This is in line with the slow and deliberate nature of the orginal design for the Senate. Not sure if the supermajority criterion should be extended to the House as well?

But this topic is really important and justifies serious debate before rushing it into practice. Neither side can realistically expect to retain power beyond some period of years (<20?), so we ought to be really careful about what we wish for and why.

  14. Re: Bucks County Voting

Yep, just more proof – tangential that it may be – that there were no significant voting / vote counting irregularities 4 years ago in the 2020 presidential election.

What we are seeing now in Buck’s County is proof positive that election “deniers” are crazy, right wing fascist pigs – you know, Hitler types – who hate democracy and wish to prevent the citizenry from expressing their views thru the voting process.

By the way, have you heard?

Trump has been indicted in a Manhattan court for assassinating Abe Lincoln in 1865.
Legal experts on MSNBC, CNN, ABC, CBS, the NY Times and WA Post proclaim that it’s a slam dunk that Trump will be found guilty.
Apparently they found the gun used in the killing hidden in Melania Trump’s underwear at Mar A Lago, Florida. Merrick Garland and Chris Wray have not said anything to reporters citing the “ongoing investigation.”

  15. It’s this kind of sick Schlick that irritates me enough to become tolerant of excesses on my side. A visit by Rachel Levine, Pete Buttigieg, Jill Biden etc would have been welcome. Otherwise all one sided.
