Has anyone else noticed that Biden looks kind of happy, now that he’s mostly-retired?
I think his smile here looks unusually genuine. And his banter sounds more on-point than is customary:
Some people are interpreting this exchange as evidence he’s trying to sabotage Kamala Harris and boost Trump. I don’t think so. But I have little doubt he’s angry at Pelosi, Schumer, Obama, Harris, and the others who pressured him to withdraw from the 2024 campaign.

I think you’re right; he’s happy. Looks it anyway. He’s out cutting up; glad handing the audience & looks to be enjoying himself. I, would, imagine most days he’s just lonely.
So who’s actually the President? It sure isn’t Kamalla.
Yes, I know! So was I, thanks to my parents — along with other such wildfolk as Spike Jones and His Cityslickers, Jonathan and Darlene Edwards, Gilbert and Sullivan, the Raymond Scott Quintette and good ol’ Tom Lehrer, among others, with a giant dose of American musical theater thrown in for good measure. Fun times!

It’s the crew that’s been overseeing the workings of the bureaucracy (and applying lipstick to the diplomatic pig-face of our nation) since noon on January 20, 2021.
Should Harris become president, we can rest assured that that same crew will continue to be filling those functions after noon January 20, 2025.
And I ponder to what extent that same crew was filling the bureaucracy function during the Trump presidency — Trump was, after all, the face of USA diplomacy during his tenure, while leaving much of the bureaucracy function to the crew — as Trump didn’t nearly fulfil his goal of draining the swamp. In fact, I tend to believe that he came to regret the extent to which he trusted and relied on them during much of his tenure.
@M J R:And I ponder to what extent that same crew was filling the bureaucracy function during the Trump presidency .
Other than Cabinet level and one or two levels down, 100%, and the same will be true if he is allowed to take office in January.
The government is running itself, and pretty close to being able to elect itself, if they're not already able to do that, and I suspect they are.

Heck, I *know* that M J R looked kind of happy, once he was [partly then fully]-retired.
It’s a Self-Licking Ice Cream Cone!

Thanks for posting, that was the best video of the “MAGA Hat” incident I’ve seen. I agree; never seen Biden so likeable or genuine. He could have won the election with that degree of spontaneity and self-depreciation.
That is the guy a lot of people thought they were voting for.
It’s definitely not the guy we got.
People expect politicians to have some “core” personality or some “authentic self.” Most of them are so besieged and beleaguered by aides, advisors, consultants and lobbyists, that you don’t see that personality so long as they are in the political game. Are we seeing the real Biden now? Or is it just another mask or act?
What about Jill ?
I expect a Trump endorsement next. No, seriously.
The blue team is not as unified as it seems.
Cracks are appearing. CNN debunked ‘fine people’ hoax.
They did evil to Biden. Hatgate was warning shot.
