And the armed ones have become fairly numerous. The rate of stabbings in the that area has increased considerably over the last couple decades or so.
But even worse, is the trend away from the old norm of non-lethal stabbings towards the lethal or nearly lethal ones. I saw a show where some older gangsters were interviewed, and they claimed that the native gangsters would only use violence to send a message or threat and not to kill. However, he also claimed that the newer immigrant criminals had no qualms about killing. Immigrants from where? Places like the Congo, he said.

I finally watched Andrea’s video there. What a treat! I wish she had just done it in one or at least a few takes, as it seems she’s a sufficiently accomplished raconteuse* that she shouldn’t really need all those choppy 2- to 3-second microtakes going on. I find that stuff incredibly irritating. But in the end, she had a good story to tell and made it entertaining. “Thank you, ADHD. Thank you.” LOL
