Tlaib and Bush vote against anti-terrorist immigration bill — 5 Comments

  1. Interesting that Omar, D-Mogadishu, didn’t vote with Tlaib. Perhaps she is a trifle worried about re-election.

  2. They are a reflection of their electorate. The enemy is inside the wire and working hard.

  3. Tlaib said this: “It’s just another GOP messaging bill being used to incite anti-Arab, anti-Palestinian, and anti-Muslim hatred that makes communities like ours unsafe.”

Attempts at guilt tripping have a poor record of success when compared to the certainty of a personal and potentially mortal threat.

  4. Kate, as you indicate, Omar did vote “Yea,” against these two more assured members of the squad. She’s definitely gotten some pushback from within the party for her outrageous statements over the weekend, if this is any indication….

  5. I’d ask who falls for political lies and manipulation like this, but, really, it’s the way politics has been since there were elected offices.
