Biden and Iran: three US military killed in Jordan by Iranian proxies
It’s richly ironic that Joe Biden was promoted and elected with the idea that he would represent an experienced, moderate, and steady hand on the tiller. “Experienced” he certainly was. But that experience was at often using bad judgment during his Senate days, and then being a VP yes-man to Obama’s terrible policies. As such, he went right along with Obama’s appeasement and enabling of one of America’s (and the world’s) worst enemies, Iran.
As president, Biden has followed right in Obama’s footsteps regarding Iran. Whether this is because Obama is still telling him what to do, other Obama allies are telling Biden what to do, or Biden has learned the lessons well and is applying them himself, it hardly matters. The point is, for whatever reason – and we’ve had discussions here for years on the possible motives – Biden’s actions as president towards Iran and elsewhere have greatly facilitated Iran’s ability to attack its enemies. It does this through terror group proxies, and thanks to Biden it has plenty of money with which to finance them, and little fear of reprisal.
Which brings us to the recent drone attack that killed three members of the US military in Jordan:
The drone hit their container housing units.
The Pentagon has identified the three soldiers killed in the Iranian-backed militia drone attack in Jordan.
Sgt. William Jerome Rivers, 46, of Carrollton, Ga.
Spc. Kennedy Ladon Sanders, 24, of Waycross, Ga.
Spc. Breonna Alexsondria Moffett, 23, of Savannah, Ga.The drone attack killed the soldiers on Sunday.
How did this happen, with all our advanced technology?:
A U.S. official confirmed to Fox News the drone from an Iranian proxy that killed 3 American service members in Jordan and injured others got past the air defenses for Tower 22 because it was mistaken for a U.S. drone expected to return to the base at the same time.
Was this planned on the part of the people who launched the attack, or was it serendipitous as far as they were concerned?
Biden has said he will “take action.” I bet the mullahs are quaking in their shoes.
Three American service members paid that cost in blood this weekend — their murders subsidized by the billions in sanctions relief Biden has provided Tehran and all but guaranteed by the president’s refusal to hold Iran accountable for nonstop attacks on US forces.
The deadly assault on a US base near the Jordanian-Syrian border was the 159th Iran-directed attack on American forces in the Middle East since Oct. 17.
Those attacks have included suicide drones, mortars, rockets and close-range ballistic missiles, leaving dozens of other Americans injured. …
US Central Command’s chief testified to Congress last year that Iran had directed 78 attacks on American forces in Iraq and Syria from January 2021 to March 2023.
These attacks left two other contractors dead and many more Americans injured.
Tehran never once paid a price for these strikes. Nor does it today. …
When the IRGC directed similar attacks on US forces in Iraq in late 2019, killing an American contractor, former President Donald Trump responded by taking out IRGC Quds Force Commander Qassem Soleimani.
Trump’s action seemed to have had a deterrent effect. But fortunately for the mullahs, Trump failed to win re-election in 2020, and he was replaced by their friend Biden.
“Trump failed to win re-election in 2020”
Au contraire… Trump did win reelection in 2020. He did fail to fully appreciate just how traitorous to the country is the Uni-Party. The Democrat party committed the electoral fraud. The GOPe enabled it.
“three folks who are military folks who are brave, who are always fighting, who are fighting on behalf of this administration… White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre stumbles into a Freudian slip.

Geoffrey Britain:
I knew someone would write more or less what you wrote in response to that phrase.
I crafted it quite consciously to mean what it says. I am agnostic on whether enough fraud was committed to have changed the result, as everyone should be, for the simple reason that the rules were changed so that there is no way to know. One thing we DO know, however is that Biden won the election in that he was certified to have done so and he is in office. All else is speculation.
I have written post after post after post detailing the efforts the GOP made to stop the rule changes, mostly through legal means and often in venues where they had no power to do so for very complex reasons I went into at the time. Only in Georgia would I say they could have made more effort that might have succeeded, and even then I’m not at all sure.
Please read this post as well as this post (the GOP managed to block HR1, for now), and this post.
I hear the Secretary of Defense is back in his office in the Pentagon, but that doesn’t mean that either he or his Commander-in-Chief has any idea what to do about this.
I too have a minor quibble with your choice of words.
…and thanks to Biden it has plenty of money with which to finance them.
That should read, thanks to Biden and Obama.
Yes, I know you covered Obama’s nefariousness at length, but no chance should be missed to remind the world that the “Iran deal” enriched the bastards far more than Biden’s “six billion”.
“…appeasement…”
um, no, it’s NOT appeasement…
(…unless, when I wasn’t looking, “alliance”, like so many other words, has been redefined….)
Defense is a losing strategy. Israel should have taught us that.
Trying to defend against attacks must succeed 100% of the time. It must successfully thwart every attack, every time, to be truly effective. The enemy only has to be successful once to achieve their aim…to make the US look weak and ineffective and themselves to be strong and fierce.
They’ve done that. They’ve killed US military members. And I predict our response will be weak and ineffectual and will prove them right.
We’ve been playing whack-a-mole against these threats for decades. Until we’re willing to take the gloves off and exterminate them, it will never end. I truly thought that was going to happen after 9/11, but the typical political crap crept into the mission parameters and we were so hogtied by the rules of engagement that the effort was doomed to failure almost from the start. It was just your typical 20 year government boondoggle expending hundreds of billions (a trillion or more?) of taxpayers dollars and thousands lives of our best and brightest for political posturing and grandstanding and achieving absolutely nothing.
That’s what they’re pushing Israel to do right now…again…and they are slowly and inevitably bowing the pressure and winding down their furious response. I hope they don’t capitulate but if recent history is any judge, they eventually will and far short of their goal of eradicating Hamas and we’ll be back into the same old same old before long.
Apparently someone (or a bunch of someones) like things the way they are…constantly at a low boil with the threat of violence at any time…because they are seemingly very determined to maintain that status quo.
I think it’s part of the same paradigm that drives gun control efforts and efforts to keep criminals on the streets, and the efforts to eliminate stable, affordable energy and all the other major policies of the left: control.
Secure, safe, comfortable people are difficult to control. Fearful, insecure people who feel their situation is tenuous are easy to control. Tell them that you can provide security and safety and stability and they’ll follow you like a lemming. Most of the time they won’t even notice when you fail to provide them with the things you promised…just keep promising and they’ll keep following.
So, here’s the question:
What is the correct response to all the Iranian aggression?
For example, what if we, over the period of a few hours, destroyed all their petroleum-related infrastructure: Ports, ships, refineries, storage, wells, pumps, pipelines, office-buildings, and all trained/capable personnel? Just notified the world, “Iran’s privileges of having a petroleum industry have just been revoked,” and wiped it all off the map overnight? …or, perhaps, mid-day when the capable personnel were more likely to be in the same location, and thus, less-costly in terms of ordinance?
Would that be excessive? Would there be any moral qualms in relation to such a move?
Let’s say “Yes,” because the personnel would be mostly non-combatants, and some portion of their petrol industry would be regarded as civilian in nature.
And, perhaps there’s another problem: Doing a really thorough job of what I described would be expensive in terms of ordinance no matter how much effort you made to hit two birds with one stone. The point is to punish them, not to leave us with depleted stockpiles that’ll take a decade to replenish, thereby inviting other hostile action in the meantime.
Okay, well…what, then?
I ask, because I have this nagging doubt whether there’s anything suitable we could both afford and do, even if the President, every Senator, and every Congresscritter were simultaneously replaced with clones of George S. Patton.
I mean, I suppose it’s relatively inexpensive in dollar amounts to nuke Tehran, since one piece of ordinance can do so much. But I imagine the moral/diplomatic cost of the aftereffects would be higher than we wish to pay. So we’re not doing that. (Maybe Qom, instead? No?)
What, then?
Presuming us to have leadership capable of recognizing the right move, and willing to make it, what would that right move actually be?
yes there was fraud, in the relevant counties we won’t rehash the point, the real dominion trial is going on now,
the frumious robert malley, who carried out the khashoggi dirge, back about 5 years ago, seems to be running the country on autopilot, so does bihar, of the nsc who came from unwra, is that dhs official back from sabbatical, where bill burns seems to fit into who know
Tom friedman, admits he tried to sabotage the netanyahu govt from the inside, to an israeli outlet, Nov 14, he hasn’t apologized for treason in my view to humanity, and this goes a long way back to his report on Shatila, more than 40 years ago, where he didn’t really did anymore than the handouts from the commodore hotel entailed,
we had a drone that fell in 2012, there was a drone operator nurges witte who defected in the year of snowden, so im sure the sepah were able to reverse engineer the thing,
Would you consider a serious and sustained effort to end the IRI regime of the mullahs, their IRGC with associated terror armies among the strategic options worth pusuing, R.C.? Empowering the opposition Iranian subject peoples to that end? We’ve long seen their will to be free from their tyrants. All of that is of course dependent on an American determination to action, a determination of which I’m not persuaded exists as matters stand today. Therefore an effort toward the American polity to explain and persuade them of this need may be the first order of business. I’d begin there.
Assuming success: Reinstate the maximum pressure campaign Trump’s admin had in place, squeezing the mullah’s finance from every direction possible. If, and this is a big “if — if it’s necessary to take kinetic action to curtail the mullah’s already too far advanced nuclear-weapons development program, take that action first and foremost, as over-against destroying future productive commercial infrastructure the Iranian peoples’ prosperity will depend on . . . once they’re rid of their oppressors.

[Correction to comment above: “pursuing”]
Optics, optics, optics…. (to paraphrase the Prince of Denmark).
But it’s much, much more than just that:
“Biden” would very much like to demonstrate to Binyamin Netanyahu (AKA “Biden” Undesirable Numero Uno) what “Proportionality”(TM) really and truly means—set a REAL example to the object of “his” greatest disgust—so “he”‘s pushing hard the Latest FAD in the Woke Pentagon: NON-SYMMETRICAL WARFARE.
(Heh, there’s ALSO that—unmentionable—“Biden”-Mullah Alliance…but we won’t say a word about that.)
No, it’s strict “PROPORTIONALITY” all the way down the pike…as brought to you by that arch-strategist, superb tactician and military genius in the Oval Office…assisted, it must be said by those other wise ones in the Pentagon (or the hospital, whatever),
You see, PROPORTIONALITY really is THE ONLY moral, ethical, humane, ACCEPTABLE position to take…and besides, it’s a great way to hog-tie Israel! And—even better—undermine Bibi… (So what could be bad…?)
But wait! Andrew McCarthy is on hand to describe this scatterbrained illness thus:
“Proportionality…Again”

Here is the YouTube link to the Generation Jihad podcast from 18 hours ago regarding Iranian attack on the US post in Syria that killed at least 3 soldiers (US Army reserve) by Bill Roggio.

Bill works for the Foundation Defending Democracy (FDD) and has been the lead author of The Long War Journal (global war on terrorism stuff).
To R.C. we pretty much can’t continue the Brandon junta (BHO part duex) policies. That is a starting place, we aren’t going to glassify Quom or Tehran either.

Meanwhile, here’s the gambit by which “Biden” intends to checkmate Bibi AND—they hope in DC—finally give that Israeli version of Trump the hook:
“President Biden plans to keep pushing a grand bargain in the Middle East for the days after the war in Gaza — with the hope it could happen before the election, despite Israel’s opposition, U.S. officials tell us.
“The plan: Israel gets normalized relations with Saudi Arabia, in exchange for agreeing to an irreversible pathway to a Palestinian state — and allowing the Palestinian Authority to have a role in post-Hamas Gaza.

Gosh, does “Biden” play 5D chess…or what?! (Maybe that should that be, Fantasy Baseball…)
Diabolically clever, what?
Could it be that Bibi’s political enemies are drooling so heavily they’re in danger of dehydrating?

And the little black lesbian immigrant WH flack sputters incoherently when describing the dead “folks” (American soldiers as most people call them) & how they died fighting “on behalf of this administration”.
I kid you not.
