The film “Deadname”
Last night I watched the documentary called “Deadname.” It’s about three parents impacted by their teenagers declaring as trans, the lack of traditional counseling for such children and its replacement by rubber-stamping on the part of the therapy and healthcare system as well as the pushing of medical treatment, and the negation of parental rights. It’s not a fancy film, and there’s a charge to view it. But I recommend it. I find these stories heartbreaking and infuriating in equal measure.
Speaking of rubber-stamping – and not just of teenagers – please read this post at Legal Insurrection. An excerpt:
The Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh uncovered trans healthcare providers rubber-stamping approvals and lying about diagnoses so a patient can get sex-change procedures.
Lying about the diagnoses is a way for insurance to cover the procedure.
The investigation centers around Plume, which is “the largest healthcare provider to the trans and nonbinary community.”
Matt Walsh is the maker of the more well-known documentary “What Is a Woman,” recently watched on Twitter by millions of people.
More:
Daily Wire producer Gregg Re went undercover to request a letter of support.
Yes, for $150, you can get a letter of support to get life-changing operations.
Re got a letter after spending 22 minutes on a video call with a nurse at Plume. The letter was for testicle removal.
This thread is wild. Plume approved Re despite not passing any questionnaires.
It’s a farce.

We have forgotten about Evil. That is the root of the problem. Secular materialism cannot be our salvation!
I am certain there is a financial motive here. The “Recovered Memory” hysteria occurred about the time that health insurance cut back severely on payment for psychological, and psychiatric therapy. At the time Gary Ramona won his lawsuit, the psychology professional societies were holding “workshops” on how to recover memories. The malpractice carriers dropped coverage for this “therapy” and the whole hysteria disappeared in less than a year.
I think the transgender thing will go away in similar fashion. I just wonder how much Obamacare has had to do with this.
Mike K:
I agree that the role of money looms large. But ideology has taken hold as well.
A scam? No kidding!
Who woulda thunk it….
A dangerous, deviant, evil scam, to be sure.
Prettied up and perfumed as a “human right”. As “preventing suicide”. As good for the individual and for society.
(Of course it’s totally IMPOSSIBLE to wait until these kids are of age to make decisions. THAT would be “immoral”…)
Not sure one can get any sicker than that. Or any more evil.
OTOH I’m sure the usual suspects will find a way…
How to push back? Legally, with teeth.
Explain to the victims AND their dodgy parents the dangers involved in this atrocity, mentioning that YES, if the individual decides later on in life—when he’s able to make a responsible decision—then by all means, etc.
To be sure, the Democrats have been mentioning the NEED to lower the voting age to 16. (But gosh, why stop there? Why not 14? 12? 6?….)
It looks to me as if Matt Walsh and the Daily Wire have turned over a rock and found a whole lotta corruption. If I were an insurer who’d been hoodwinked by fake diagnosis letters, I’d be lining up my lawyers to sue for fraud. I’d also be contacting the attorney-general’s office in my state to ask when they planned to open an investigation into a criminal racket that not only preys on the medical insurance industry, but also enables unnecessary and life-changing interventions for the weak-minded and confused public.

Just another tragedy…no doubt the perp was the victim, was being triggered, was being attacked, was being mocked, was being dissed, was being told NO.

Pumping ’em full of drugs…people who are probably not the most stable to begin with…but hey—REMEMBER—it’s a human right…and the individual might just go and decide to commit suicide….
What COULD POSSIBLY go wrong?
…And so “just another” tragedy….
(Wonder if there’s a diary somewhere….)
Kinda like the oxy situation awhile back. And, in California, we had legal “medical marijuana” where you good get a ‘script literally down on the corner when the Drs. set up a booth.
Would be great if govt cracked down on this like they did with oxy abuse. So much so that average doctor afraid to prescribe pain meds or risk punishment. Thanks Obama!
Because we have political justice now, if anyone gets charged with fraud, it will be the Daily Wire producer who obtained the letter, and not the people who wrote it for him.
And so here we go…
…With the SPLC feeling free, unshackled, unencumbered—ENCOURAGED—to attack parents who are pushing back against “Biden”‘s Barbaric Beastliness.
(And why shouldn’t the SPLC do this, in fact? It’s just following “Biden” ‘s lead…)
“Moms for Liberty co-founder torches SPLC’s ‘extremist’ label: ‘We’re not going to stop’;
“The Southern Poverty Law Center refers to the group as an ‘anti-government’ organization”—

That’s right. For “Biden” and “his” pit bulls, parents who want the best for their kids ARE right-wing terrorists.
But then, we already know that….
Looks like Garland, the DOJ, the FBI and the CORRUPT MEDIA are going to have a lot of fun with this one!!
I do think the trans phenomenon has gotten out of hand. Gender affirming care could be also called voluntary eugenics. It removes the chance to have a normal sex life. I realize lobotomies did help a few people and I assume there exist a few beneficiaries here too but this is bound to be tragic for very many. Abigail Shrier’s book, Irreversible Damage, does an excellent job of laying out how badly this plague has cut across the community of vulnerable teenage girls.
Cicero nailed it straight away.
It’s neither farce nor tragedy.
It’s evil. The trans-tsunami is an an attempt to fully overthrow the sovereignty of God and the createdness of humankind.
We’re seeing Isaiah 45:9-10 in real time:
What sorrow awaits those who argue with their Creator.
Does a clay pot argue with its maker?
Does the clay dispute with the one who shapes it, saying,
‘Stop, you’re doing it wrong!’
Does the pot exclaim,
‘How clumsy can you be?’
How terrible it would be if a newborn baby said to its father,
‘Why was I born?’
or if it said to its mother,
‘Why did you make me this way?

Tucker’s episode 2 talks of taboos.
Crazy world, and lots of intentional action making it even crazier.
neo, I agree that ideology shares the blame but a lot of these doctors (not all) are reaping big bucks. Some of these docs are trannies and those are probably ideology but not all adult trannies are in favor of the stuff going on with children.
Apropos of ideology, even the CIA has gone woke for Pride Month:
The CIA received swift backlash on Twitter Thursday from users who mocked its post celebrating Pride month and the agency’s “rich history” of LGBTQ officers.
The US intelligence agency’s tweet included a strange graphic with the words CIA and PRIDE combined — and announced that its theme for Pride month would be “WELCO-ME!,” which represents “Wellness, Equity, LGBTQ+, Community, Openness and ME!”
“Pride Month is an occasion for all of us at the Agency to pay tribute to the rich history, community, and mission contributions of our LGBTQ+ officers,” the CIA tweeted on Wednesday.

I’m thinking that the online mockery is a good sign– that more and more people have had enough of Pride garbage.
A society that fails to protect its children has no future. When a popular movement arises within a society that encourages the destruction of children’s future, it has embraced evil. Millions of American adults are actively engaged in evil. No other descriptive characterization suffices.
I think money plays a large part. These clinics are making huge sums and turning confused children into lifetime medical cases, needing hormones and follow up for life. They tell parents that if they don’t agree to the mutilation of their children they will be responsible for their deaths.
No one should take “Pride” in such evil.
Re: Money
Mike K, Kate:
Absolutely.
I’m persuaded that much of the homeless problem in blue states is held in place by the social services apparatus which grifts away much of the tax money to administrators, bureaucrats and related organizations, who — alley-oop — vote Democrat.
Interesting how that works.
If don’t defend your children…
No cows, no hoof-and-mouth disease.
Geoffrey Britain use the powerful term “evil” to describe where the US alone is at. And you are correct in doing so.
As does Kate in stating there is NO “Pride” therein.
huxley avers:”Re: Money
“I’m persuaded that much of the homeless problem in blue states is held in place by the social services apparatus which grifts away much of the tax money to administrators, bureaucrats and related organizations, who — alley-oop — vote Democrat.”
PRECISELY. Under Clinton, an anti-racist way of laundering funding to Democrat Activist groups like Acorn — with Obama as either director or lawyer for it — was devised.
Then in Obama’s near trillion dollar economic recovery act in 2009, slush funds to similar and many more groups were achieved.
Biden regrifted even more.
When it comes to partisan institutionalized corruption, this heinous way sure makes my short-list for causus bellus.
About Neo’s post, yeah, I read about this last night and it’s making all the circles on the Right-side Media. As it should.
And about this film, Neo points us towards.
I do have a dog (or skeleton) in this trans hunt. It is personal for me.
My father was too absent (and absenting — too trusting) and my mother too emotionally girly (and absorbed by my older sisters kives), that I suffered what would today be called gender confusion.
As a teenager, this led to chronic panic disorder, and acute episodes, with anxiety and depressive symptoms. In short, borderline personality disorder.
I was given the option if a support group fot my paraphilia at the local university.
Today this would have been a 39 minute video chat, as rejated by Matt Walsh.
Self-mutilation. Too few questions asked.
Instead, I chose to continue multiple years of tough psycho-dynamic psychotherapy. My annoying paraphilia eased and disappeared as I progressed with traditional treatment.
That route is costly, time-draining. I’m sure the “easy answers” today that require lifelong replacement hormones are much cheaper per year, but likely cost similarly over a lifetime. And with much more permanent opportunity costs.
Therefore, given my hard experience with gender confusion before trans became a fad, I can agree with Neo’s reaction to seeing this documentary.
But even sticking to, say, Jordan Peterson interviewing a Trans-changer is too hard for me to stay with.
The problem of better synthesizing my past to myself is obvious too me — the different path of false identity now is made too easy.
In the Autumn of 2021, I befriended a young man just 22. His hurdles were like mine, we agreed: neglected and abused masculinity.
But instead his oldest sister acted out the repressed drama of her mother’s life, first by becoming a lesbian — and then recently, gender identity confusion. His sister’s drama sucked the available family attention air out of his teen year’s if life, if I may mix metaphors.
The young man’s mother was a women’s history professor at UW-La Cross, and rose to become Chair of the Women’s Studies Department. Her success became his cross to bear, as men were vilified in hus home.
All thus stuff like this thread is difficult for me to absorb. I believe Neo is correct. Posters here are correct. But it is angst inducing to me to watch her recommended viewing.
I can only put this top line documentary aside for times when I’m braver and more able to confront evil head-on.
If course, U see growing up today frim boy to man as much more burdened and blamed like a bastard.
But what can I do?
TJ:
I’m very glad you got the help you needed. I wish such help was more readily available to today’s young people, and I think it’s an outrage that it’s not.

Not buying that the mental health trade are much help to anyone. The events of the last four years have taught us to distrust the medical profession as well.
Art Deco:
A good therapist can be of great help to people. I’ve seen it happen many times. It used to be more common, but right now – and especially in the arena being discussed in this thread – therapists’ hands are tied in many states.
TJ…my heart is heavy for you…prayers for the road ahead & for the rubble you strive to leave behind.
Child custody arguments were my life in the 90s and 2000s. Massive social worker interference, denial of parental rights by The Ratner School in Cleveland.
Now everybody can enjoy the same.
I have written before: were I a medical professional, I would not stand too close to any of these people who push the drugs and surgery. I’d also be sure I knew where the fire exits were. Some of the victims of this horror are going to want revenge, either 9 mm style or by burning down the clinics–with the staff inside.
