A lot of promising medical research doesn’t pan out, but sometimes it does. I definitely hope this one does.
TCRT will complete Phase I trials this year.
President Brandon did say he was going to cure cancer.
All kidding aside, it does sound promising. And if the theory is correct it will target some of the more lethal and difficult to treat cancers.
I’m hoping they come up with cures before I get cancer, and wishing they’d done it before some of my loved ones got it, and lost the battle.
My smart science friends say nothing will be known until human trials are started. TCRT, on the other hand, is in human trials now.
These drugs have been around since 2010-11 and have shown great results in a good number of patients with a wide variety of cancers. That being said, a number of patients whose disease had been in complete remission for many years saw their malignancies come back big time in the past three years. The immune response to cancer cells that these drugs induce was suddenly not as robust. Their doctors are baffled…
