It gets harder and harder to shock people — 20 Comments

  1. Yeah…but Bonnie Raitt.
Just say it slowly… Bonnie. Raitt.
    Hot damn!
THAT shocked me in the happiest way.

  2. The funniest thing is that the Daily Mail and some other outlets apparently referred to Bonnie as “an unknown blues singer.” I suppose if you’re under 40 or so you might never have heard of her.

  3. “Vigilant Citizen: Symbols Rule the World, Not Words Nor Laws” is my go-to for Satanic Hollywood stuff:

Grammy trophies are said to be the “music industry’s highest honor” and the Grammy Awards are said to be “music’s biggest night”. With that being said, the 2023 Grammys centered around an outright Satanic ritual. What does this say about the music industry as a whole?

If it sounds like I’m engaging in “satanic panic” (as the media loves to say), rest assured that I am not panicking at all. That is simply the most factual and objective way of describing what happened during the 2023 Grammy Awards.

As explained in previous articles, modern award ceremonies are highly choreographed affairs where a limited number of actors are used to carry out a specific narrative. This year, the “star” of the show was definitely Sam Smith. Throughout the show, Sam Smith carried out a ritualistic drama that encompasses the occult elite’s favorite obsessions: The gender-blurring agenda mixed with outright satanism. Then, other actors such as Beyonce, Jay-Z, Harry Styles, and Lizzo played their part in the overarching narrative.

I am persuaded this goes beyond “Épater la bourgeoisie — Shock the respectable middle-classes”. There seems to be a serious interest in Satanism at elite levels of our society.

I’m not saying they are minions of the Devil, but they like playing with the symbols and scenarios, and seem to think it fits with forwarding their agenda.

Take a look at this page while you can. Vigilant Citizen is walling off some of their content.

It’s also a great rabbit hole. Huxley Bob says, check it out.

  4. I don’t suppose any of these people actually worship Satan (not even CBS), but what they do worship is themselves, and their refusal to acknowledge any limits.

Since I believe evil really does exist, I think they, and their milieu, are at serious risk.

  5. Here’s the video which ultimately landed me at Vigilant Citizen.

    –“Sia – Chandelier (Official Video)”
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2vjPBrBU-TM

Sia is an Australian singer-songwriter, quite talented. She often wears a silver blonde wig to conceal her identity.

The song video is about a party girl, who allows herself to be a sexual plaything, while drinking herself stupid to live with that life. OK, fine.

However, the video shows an 11 year-old girl in a silver blond wig, dancing brilliantly, erotically and dementedly in a dingy apartment, while wearing a flesh-colored leotard.

I like to think I’ve got a high shock threshold. I found this horrifying, yet compelling. Maddie Ziegler, the dancer, is amazing. It just felt WRONG.

Here’s the Vigilant Citizen take on the trilogy of Sia/Ziegler videos.

The imagery associated with Sia’s sixth album 1000 Forms of Fear is right in line with the elite’s ongoing Agenda, which includes the sexualization of children, the normalization of ritual abuse, and the promotion of mind control. While these are strong words to describe videos of a young girl dancing while wearing a wig, the plethora of symbols surrounding the video trilogy strongly points in that direction.

  6. what is the devils wheelhouse, worship of self, or unrestrained sexuality, contempt for family,

  7. I remember that Stones tour, about 1975(?)–I was in high school, definitely. I saw them at the Garden. Very cool. The giant inflatable penis actually didn’t get much audience reaction that I recall.

  8. Re: Shockin’ rockers

I cheerfully noted David Gilmour harshing Pink Floyd bandmate Roger Waters hard on Twitter:

“Sadly @rogerwaters you are antisemitic to your rotten core,” wrote Samson on Twitter. “Also a Putin apologist and a lying, thieving, hypocritical, tax-avoiding, lip-synching, misogynistic, sick-with-envy, megalomaniac. Enough of your nonsense.”

Gilmour liked the post, retweeting it, and in a show of support, wrote “Every word demonstrably true.”

I’ve always sided with the Gilmour Pink Floyd. And the more I’ve learned about Roger Waters, the more so.

Waters is a piece of work. (I love British insults.)

  9. I really don’t get the Satan and demon schtick flourishing in pop culture today.

I think what we’re seeing today is different than most of the 1970’s and 1980’s shock rockers, in degree and perhaps even in kind. I see this year’s Grammy performance and the ‘Lil Nas video from last year as being more like the Church of Satan folks who were/are trying to take advantage of 1st Amendment precedent to have occult-inspired statues of Satan placed at courthouses – all so they can “own the cons.” The occult/RBG inspired statues that recently went up in NY city are another example.

And here is what I don’t get: I understand that some (and probably most) of the people pushing these pagan/demonic symbols are committed materialists who don’t believe in a spiritual domain at all – so this is all cosplay to them. Even so, they’re placing the inverse of Pascal’s wager. The upside is the endorphine high from “making those icky Christians cry.” If they’re wrong about materialism, however, they’re summoning something unspeakable awful. This is not wise. That should be apparent, even to a committed materialist.

  10. …A singer makes shocking news?

A devastating earthquake has hit Syria + Turkey, this week.

Possibly 12000 or more people are dead, because of the earthquake.

This is very devastating to hear about.

    Does anyone know right now?
How many people have lost their: parents, children, + friends, because of that earthquake? How many people are in real need?

How many people in Turkey + Syria are without the basic, needed things to live, like: running water, electric power, food, and heat? I wonder how they can be helped, right now.

Those sort of problems are things that bring real shock and unhappiness, to me.

A singer playing around with plastic horns, and toy-devil costumes, like a small kid, playing at a costume store? No offense meant to anyone, but- singers and stage acts have nothing on- the news of real-life horrors, and real-life unhappiness,…of actual people- in my opinion.

I think I’ll look at those large problems, and I’ll try to help some people in need, instead.

There are likely people who need- comforting, medical care, and food, and other things, who can use my attention.
I think I’ll look into those things, instead.

  11. I saw the giant condom/penis prop live at a Rolling Stones concert in 1975. Reaction was a yawn even then.

  12. Eh. The bit itself isn’t shocking so much as the fact that CBS would greenlight the idea for a mainstream network TV audience.

How about the giant marijuana cigarette from the Grateful Dead’s closing of Winterland on New Year’s eve 1978 ?

You’re going to “look into” that, are you ? Yeah, ok. If you want donate whatever money you want to the Red Cross and don’t bother telling us about it. Virtue signalling is sad no matter who is doing it.
