  1. I’m starting to wonder if there are any actual conservatives in the UK Conservative Party. Woke and Woke Lite aren’t much of a choice.

  2. Flip Flopped on Economic issues, caused disruptions in the markets and the Bank of England had to step in. Wonder if Boris will try to come back.

A Funny note: Just read that some other idjts glued themselves to the floor at a VW car show. One is complaining that they are not being provided with toilet facilities, and heat has been turned off. Oh Boo Hoo.

  3. The surge in GOP support shows why Dems want early voting. When not paying attention, many voters still reflectively vote Dem. But as the election gets nearer, they pay attention and see how nutty Dems are. But if they’ve had their ballot harvested already, it’s too late.

  4. I’m really trying hard to avoid being too optimistic with regards to the upcoming elections, but it’s difficult to not be a bit of a Pollyanna when you see that the latest Monmouth poll has the GOP up by 6 points nationally, not to mention all the other polls that seem to be strongly trending towards Republicans. And often these are polls that infamously heavily oversample Democrats and muck around with misleading questions and such.

Given FBI behavior we should assume that he had information that would be damaging to Democrats.

Every single part of the Dems’ standard narrative is a lie. We are living in a 1984 world. And those who impose it, enforce it and support it are evil.

  6. Regarding the chaos among Britain’s Tories, here’s someone’s comment at a PowerLine post:

“Are you paying attention Republican Party? Because you’re being treated to a Master Class in how an ostensibly conservative party can squander an historic landslide election. Watch and learn. Or learn nothing. Your choice.”

  7. Maggie Thatcher would not have backed down.

Mrs. Thatcher would have had a better program to defend. Britain would benefit from restablizing prices, reducing public sector borrowing; reducing immigration, adding manpower to immigration enforcement, and streamlining the procedure for deporting undesirables; banning the use of surgery and hormone treatments on people trying to cosplay the other sex; simplifying the tax code; ending the abuse of dissenters by schools, regulatory agencies, police, and professional associations; and eliminating the DIE apparat in public agencies and government corporations while removing any provisions in labor law which promote its appearance in private concerns. Her priority was…tax cuts.

  8. Badoch but they trear her with contempt maybe braverman who fell off the boat last

  9. “Are you paying attention Republican Party? Because you’re being treated to a Master Class in how an ostensibly conservative party can squander an historic landslide election. Watch and learn. Or learn nothing. Your choice.”

The Fredocon Donorist Party will learn nothing. Every single time.

  10. The UK is about to enter the final stages in its societal suicide.

    SHIREHOME,

They’re counting on some idiot acting to free them out of misplaced ‘compassion’. Instead of allowing them to experience the consequences of their actions.

  11. I’d watched a few Sabine Hossenfelder videos before and liked them. The past few days I’ve watched a bunch more and appreciate her more.

She does her great YouTube shtick of interesting bits on physics, but she’s a sly fox. There is also a big message to the scientific community to be more honest and less speculative.

In the video below she explains a standard ploy from the nuclear fusion scientists to magnify their Q results with regard to energy-out divided by energy-in. (Hint: we’re looking for Q’s > 1.)

The trick is to focus on the energy exchange strictly at the plasma stage — never mind the overall result, which determines whether a power plant provides more power than it consumes.

If that’s not clear, I don’t blame you and I won’t belabor the point.

However, my point is I’m a fan of nuclear fusion and I’d thought they were somewhat close to a real, profitable fusion reactor. But they’ve been doing this song-and-dance for a long time.

H/T to physicsguy for his recc on Sabine.

  12. American STASI in action….

A few threats here, a little intimidation there, throw several hundred in jail without a trial (habeus corpus WHAT DAT?), get in a few suicides…and…VOILA!

…And while we’re at it, why don’t we fool around with the numbers…. (No one will ever find out!….)

If you’re attracted to intelligent women, it doesn’t hurt that she’s a cutie pie. Has sense of humor. Adorable accent, too. 🙂 🙂

  14. Two recurrent topics of interest here are combined in Nara Crowley’s piece at The American Thinker: rising family estrangement because of political differences and the recent rapidly twisting (“evolving” is too weak a term) definitions of “fascism.”

This one is worth bookmarking and sharing. And a new reference for the next rounds on these topics, here.
