Durham limps on
The latest news from Durham is that Danchenko, the guy behind the Steele dossier, was a paid informant of the FBI for many years (isn’t everyone?):
In a bombshell revelation, Special Prosecutor John Durham revealed Tuesday in court filings that the FBI paid a Russian businessman as a confidential human source in the investigation of Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign even though it had prior concerns that businessman was tied to Moscow’s intelligence services.
Durham persuaded the federal judge in the upcoming trial of Igor Danchenko to unseal a motion revealing that Danchenko, the primary source of the now-discredited Steele dossier, was paid by the FBI as a confidential human source for more than three years until the fall of 2020 when he was terminated for lying to agents.
Danchenko is charged with five counts of lying to the bureau during that relationship and faces trial next month in federal court in the Virginia suburbs of Washington D.C.
I wouldn’t call this a “bombshell.” Russiagate – and even the Durham investigation – is now officially old stale news, and opinions about it are probably pretty much set in stone. And for those of us on the right still following it all, this particular revelation should come as no surprise whatsoever. Russiagate has exposed the rottenness of various federal agencies, in particular the FBI and the DOJ.
NOTE: Much more here.
Danchenko is a curious and highly suspicious character, described by The Washington Times as having been born in Ukraine (his surname is certainly Ukrainian), having grown up in Russia and having studied in this country. It is striking indeed how many of the individuals associated with Russia-gate and the various coups against Trump (leaving completely aside the corruption of Hunter and Burisma, the highly partisan activities of our embassy in Kiev, and the lobbying against Trump by the Ukrainian embassy in DC’s swamp) have connections to Ukraine, including Chalupa, Vindman, and the young woman who once aspired to be in charge of the Ministry of Truth.
Not only have most of us known this for quite some time; the idea of making it “official” now is like the dog shitting on your lawn and then rubbing your nose in it saying “try and not let it happen again”. In short, it is more inciting than exciting.
Remember when this clown was going to expose the whole thing?
“Russiagate has exposed the rottenness of various federal agencies, in particular the FBI and the DOJ.”
What Federal agency is exempt from the rot?
Durham needs to go back to his day job of straining bug soup through his walrus mustache. What a tool. What a parasite on the taxpayer. Putz.
The nature of this drag out cover up is more apparent every day.
What a useless exercise by ploddin, ol’ Mr. Sternface, a day late and a dollar short Durham.
Perhaps in another couple of years we’ll find out who is suspected of having stuck the stamps on the envelope in which the Russia hoax documents were first mailed to someone.
Durham did in fact show that Sussmann lied AND did in fact show, courtesy of that Mook character, that Hillary conspired to slander Trump and take down the elected government by setting up and launching Russiagate; but since Sussmann was acquitted of all charges—apparently, telling lies to a compromised, lying FBI, IOW lying to liars, MEANS that one does NOT lie—the world was persuaded that no lies were ever uttered …
Garland needs to go back to his day job of passing bug soup through his outsized anus. What a tool. What a parasite on the taxpayer. Putz.
Durham who??
“opinions about it are probably pretty much set in stone”
Neo nails it. Democrats (voters, politicians, media propagandists) have zero interest in truth. ZERO.
Everything they know and believe is a lie and they are damn happy about it.
“Fake but accurate” is the essence of leftist belief.
Serge millian a dodgy byelorussian who had been libeled by danchenko had considered testifying till the maralago raid
…in which case can the DOJ be sued for witness intimidation…?

The fact he was a paid FIB informant from early 2017 until late 2020 is news.
The likely reason for this is so that he would be a “source” and hence FIB could classify and redact anything related to his identity.
