Bragg drops the charges against Alba – finally
It took an awful lot of pressure, but this finally happened:
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg finally did the right thing by dropping murder charges against bodega worker Jose Alba, but he hasn’t remotely admitted he was wrong from the start.
Nor abandoned his reflexive support for thugs over crime victims.
Moving to dismiss the case, Bragg conceded only that his office couldn’t prove the “defendant was not justified in his use of deadly physical force.” How did it take him two weeks to accept the obvious?
Again: Video showed from the start that younger, bigger Austin Simon cornered Alba behind the counter and attacked him; the clerk’s stabbing of his attacker was clear self-defense.
Remember that the process is the punishment, and the charges against Alba served notice to everyone that this could happen to you if you have the temerity to defend yourself. I had previously written the following about Bragg:
So, why weren’t the charges against Alba dropped the minute prosecutors saw the video, especially with the audio? (Rhetorical question.) Bragg says oh well, I’m thinking about it. But IMHO he can afford to drop the charges now because he’s already gotten his message across, which is don’t defend yourself or you could be charged with murder. And you better hope there’s video to document things, or it will be even worse for you.
That is the goal here, and it was met.
On the other hand, I’m glad that Alba’s ordeal is over. He’ll never be the same, though, and not just because of what Bragg put him through. He is no murderer, and killing Simon, even if justified, is something he’ll have to live with for the rest of his life.
Bragg is evil. He is knowingly and deliberately putting innocent lives at risk. Sick.
Why would he want to do this? The only reason I can imagine is that he believes most voters in NYC are also evil and support it. Or at least the Soros type money people are.
Bragg is an evil man. The Left wants evil men in positions of power. To help cow the herd.
Just the thought of being charge with a crime when you were simply defending yourself is a sick perverted punishment.
Even though the charges are dropped this ordeal will leave nightmares and scars.

It is as you say Neo – get the message across that you shouldn’t defend yourself.
Since his family had to pay a bondsman 10% of his bond to get him out on bond, do they get that back since the charges were dropped? In most cases, the 10% is the fee for the bondsman and is never returned.
This should never been charged and losing that money is not a trifle thing for working people. Without the charge, they wouldn’t have needed a bond.
The Alba case like the Rittenhouse case and the Covington case are instances of justice prevailing.
I’m a New Yorker. It’s a shame that a dunce like Adams and even more of a shame that scum like Hochul and Bragg are currently in charge.
Not so long-ago Cuomo and Boudin and DeBlasio were in charge. They are now in their respective trash cans. Again: justice balancing the scales.

There are unconfirmed rumors to the effect that New York City contains a large number of dumpsters, 65 through 90 gallon 3 mil trash bags can be purchased on the internet, that video records can be erased and overwritten to eliminate, and that 5% bleach removes stains and obliterates DNA.
What Bragg never learns about he can never threaten with.
This is what you get when: voters don’t vote, voters aren’t knowledgeable about the issues, or, the voters really want that king of office holder.
If Alba’s assailant had attacked one of Bragg’s family members or close relatives, who thinks Bragg would have had the relative arrested ??
Ditto for any of the Soros’ DA clones scattered about the lawless cities across the USA.
Don’t forget; Bragg never brought charges against the trash GF who went and got the violent felon to “f*** you up” (as she told Alba). And she stabbed Alba. Bragg’s stated reason was that she was just trying to protect her boyfriend. Which turns self-defense law as an essential element to claiming self-defense is innocence. If you’re the aggressor then you lose your right to claim self-defense. You can reclaim it by stating clearly that you intend to disengage and then try to get away from the situation. If someone pursues you, then that individual has become the aggressor and you regain your right of self-defense
But you don’t have the right to claim self-defense if you threaten to bring your thug boyfriend to “f*** up” some store owner who won’t let you steal some chips, then actually bring your thug boyfriend the store, instigating the fight like you threatened, and then jump into the fight with a knife.
Bragg is simply pro-criminal. I have no doubt he’s a communist (Soros loves communists). Being pro-criminal is a dead giveaway. When the Bolsheviks overthrew the Czar in 1917 they declared “ordinary criminals” a friendly social element. After all, to their mind they had only become criminals because of the oppressive, unjust czarist/capitalist system. They weren’t stupid enough to simply release the “ordinary criminals;” the Bolsheviks simply put them in privileged positions in charge of the Gulags.
Leftists like Bragg simply want to do to general society what the Bolsheviks did to the Gulags. Use criminals to terrorize their class enemies. Of course, since CRT is simply repackaged communism (not like they’re trying to hide it all that well; Patrice Cullours brags that she and her partner who cofounded Black Lives Matter are trained Marxists) the terms have only changed to put everything in the language of racial/gender/identity politics. Now the ordinary criminals are only criminals because of the oppressive, unjust racist/capitalist system.
Antifa/#BLM are the left’s version of Mao’s Red Guards. And leftists hate it when you kill one of their street enforcers.
