The situation at the border is about to get worse
A senior administration official told the Washington Free Beacon that border agents are preparing to process up to 1,200 families a day once the public health restrictions are lifted. That works out to about 375,000 families over the next 12 months — perhaps close to a million people. And that figure doesn’t include any surges in refugees at the border — something that many experts fully expect to happen…
“All of these people will become permanent residents. There’s no political will from the Biden administration to deport families once they’re already admitted. The White House knows that,” a DHS official said. “The end of Title 42 will result in de facto open borders.”
Those open borders may restart the pandemic. The Delta variant of the coronavirus has doubled positive tests in the U.S. in the last month, although deaths and hospitalizations have risen far less quickly. It’s not only idiotic public policy. Throwing open the borders in this way is a clear and present danger to citizens of the United States — especially in states along the southern border.
Biden’s dismissive attitude toward Cuban and Haitian refugees should now be seen in the context of his preference for Mexican and Central American refugees escaping poverty and violence as opposed to Cubans escaping Communist repression.
This is happening by design. There are so many things wrong with it, but just one glaring element is the utter hypocrisy about COVID policies shown on the part of the Biden administration.
It is not possible for any rational person to believe that the chaotic situation at the border is the result simply of a feckless and incompetent administration. Rather, it is part of a deliberate policy which seeks to criminalize dissent from the law-abiding while absolving law-breakers of any responsibility for their misbehavior (anarcho-tyranny), as well as weakening the system through irresponsible spending via the printing of money and the endless extension of benefits (Cloward-Piven). Law enforcement will increasingly be used neither to defend the border nor to punish anti-social and criminal miscreants, but to force ordinary American conservative citizens into submission as their tax-dollars are used to fund the toxic propaganda of BLM/CRT/1619.
They’re just getting started. It’s still a long way from here to China’s social credit system, Cuba’s mandatory limit of $20. monthly income and Venezuela’s starvation but that’s where our betters are taking us.
We are being governed by an America-hating bunch. Biden is worse than Obama, and Obama was pretty awful. Gen. Milley, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, is just as bad and no one claims he is senile. We passive Americans are being converted to neo-Cubans with a touch of anarcho-tyranny, as je says above.
There is only one way out. When will we take it?
@Cicero:
They don’t hate America exactly. It’s a nice little (ha!) racket for them. They do enjoy taunting you from time to time with denigration or profanation of some of its symbols and traditions. That’s slightly different thing.
What they hate is White America. And they’re coming for it.
Little reporting on TX closing its southern border. Why isn’t the governor giving a series of updates or is this just another election promise to be ignored. Nobody now seems willing to enforce the law on the border, period. Do citizens have to act as militia to protect lives and property, as in South Africa, to jump start someone to act against this invasion.
@Zaphod:
Of course the Left/Democrats hate America. The backbone of our country is White America which, as you say, “They’re coming for it”. I suggest you read Murray’s new book, “Facing Reality”, which explains the “whats”, the demographic data, without any attempt to discuss the “whys”. Having a gut sense of standard deviation and probability helps.
The Fidelistas in Cuba, the Maduroists in Venezuela are not struggling for survival, for basic human rights as per Natural Law, as are the common citizens, laboring under oppression.
The same is underway here now, today.
@amr:
Gov. Abbott has a hugely long border to defend, and insufficient troops with which to do it. Look at a map, see its length. They’re even crossing at Big Bend, which is brutally rough country, and they will fry in desert heat. Some justice there.
I don’t see Abbott closing the Texas border, to be honest I don’t know what he is actually doing except trying to cobble enough money to build more
Wall.
I would like him to close the border completely citing health concerns and actually do it.
