  1. I’ve been on a “time out” from most politics since that UNARMED “Insurrection” in early January. Even from most of my reading in Wash.Examiner Weekly, Nat.Review & Commentary Magazine. Too Tired. Thank God, Baseball Season starts today!! I’m a baseball lover married to a baseball nutcase girl: GO, RAYS!!

  2. disclaimer: this is not an April Fools prank

There’s a lady trying to get people to lift a finger, go above and beyond “being informed” and gradually embrace activism, starting with simple Internet actions.

She has a few thousand people signed up so far and gathers a couple hundred more each week.
It may seem like weak-tea but imagine if you will the day when 3 or 4 times a week a million voters all email one target and say “I know about issue XYZ and my opinion is this!”
Even though congressional offices are no doubt well trained to ignore mass produced emails they might find that a million informed registered voters is a different kettle of fish.

If you’d consider becoming a part of the group, or if you want to forward the info to someone you know, here is the link

This week’s action is to email MLB to suggest that they De-politicize Major League Baseball by removing their threat to move the All Star game from GA in order to protest that state’s election reform. She provides the target email, some background research and a draft letter you can use.

  3. Very interesting talk by NE Senator Ben Sasse last night in Omaha. On my twitter feed @DavidDBegley1. Pinned tweet.

  4. Fantasy Intellectuals League starts April 1, to run thru June 30.
Busy there, more good thinking; so much I don’t have time for it all.

    Team Sam-I-Am (mine):
Steve Sailer Martin Gurri Glenn Loury Robin Hanson Lee Smith Bari Weiss James A Lindsay Ben Shapiro Angelo Codevilla Marc Andreesson Rod Dreher Alister McGrath Marvin Olasky New Neo Robert Barnes

So much GREAT stuff to follow!

Not the absence of annoying, cacophonous, ear-splitting, tinnitus-inducing electronic beeps and announcements. The aural environment is carefully curated so as to be calming. This goes for all stations, trains, buses, airport concourses in Japan.

In much of the rest of Asia can expect to be blown out of one’s skin by loud beeps and blaring incomprehensible announcements. The Chinese *love* loud noises. As for the West: forgeddaboudit!

Koreans kind of get it. I once had a Samsung washing machine would play die Forelle when it finished.
