Putin challenges Biden to a pushup contest — 24 Comments

  1. I’ve got to think that the word has been out to all foreign leaders to take with a grain of salt anything this ‘President’ says and just know that Susan Rice and ultimately Obama are really in charge.

  2. Lefty Democrats like John Kerry and Joe Biden say and do this kind of thing all the time, thinking they are so clever and smarter than the crude rubes around the world. Anybody grounded in the slightest bit of reality instantly sees how weak, out of touch, and easily dismissed they are. It’s an astounding projection of weakness, you sense that Putin is almost embarrassed to need to respond. God help America, the world is watching and planning to press to their advantages while our leadership is so vile and degraded.

  3. I wonder if Putin’s counter in that old quote wasn’t in fact meant to say more than the Marionette realized. Maybe Putin was essentially saying “Likewise, buddy,” only in a form intentionally made too subtle for a person like The Man from Scranton to comprehend.

The showboating in which the Marionette is now indulging is all the more unseemly considering his own personal frailty at this point. If Trump had bragged about physically challenging Putin or anyone else, aside from any character-related evaluation on the part of the listener, it could come off as relatively plausible merely because Trump is simply built better physically than this other fellow is. I haven’t seen recent videos of Putin to judge his physical state of today, but I imagine that time in the dojo over the years has kept him in reasonable shape even as long as he’s been in office; he doesn’t quite seem like the type to let himself go. And of course Putin has cultivated his tough-guy image for many years in other ways.

  4. It’s like we all forgot when Trump was risking nuclear war by calling Kim Jong Il “fat” and “rocket man”.

Incidentally the Chinese nickname for Kim Jong Il is “Three Fat”.

  5. Has Dr Bandy Lee chimed in on Biden’s mental fitness? She was so gosh darn concerned about Trump so I imagine she is very worried about Biden.

  6. Poor Joe. He can’t keep his Scranton, PA, macho-man foot out of his mouth. He thinks he’s being tough, but forgets that he’s now on the big stage and men like Putin are willing and able to play him. It’s very sad and dangerous for our country.

  7. So Biden must be about to condemn Xi for the persecution of the Uighurs. Not holding my breath though.

  8. Honestly, he should challenge Biden to a game of Tic Tac Toe. He would pretty much guaranteed to win.

  9. I think it will come out in the next few days probably, that Biden is repeating an exchange he read about someone else having with Putin on the topic of the foundations of Putin’s morality.

It was one in which the critic/interviewer was characterizing the implications of Putin’s moral sensibilities in the form of an alarming hypothetical involving the meaning of the absence of a soul as a species attribute, and Putin in response, used that line as a retort.

Let’s see if my memory turns put to be conformed or accurate.

  10. Personally, I’m mostly agog at “Philip Melanchthon Wegmann.” Holy cow! I’ve heard some pretty on-the-nose Lutheran names, but this one takes the cake.

  11. I find it inconceivable that Joe Biden has talked tough to anybody but someone
he saw as a subordinate in his adult life.

  12. I’d like to see the two in a Roman cage match. Winner walks out of the cage, the loser gets to fight a very hungry lion. Biden is taller and runs his mouth, so it’s a fair fight.

  13. }}} I think the entire world is aware of Biden’s issues.

    Honestly — I seriously doubt if 75% of liberals/Democrats have a clue.

  14. }}} are not fooled about Biden’s fitness and what the lack of it means to American resolve and capacity to act.

America’s resolve and capacity to act has far more to do with the (D)s in power than it does to any one particular individual’s overall physical or mental fitness. We aren’t a nation run by a strongman, we are a nation run by a political party with specific approaches to solving problems.

“America is eeeeeeevil” in not conducive to resolve or capacity to act.

And that’s the operating principle of almost all of those using the (D) these days.

I cite again : Postmodern Liberalism is a social cancer. Literal, not figurative.

  15. Putin is going to have fun with this …

    https://nypost.com/2021/03/19/biden-falls-as-he-climbs-up-stairs-to-air-force-one/

The 78-year-old commander in chief had his hand on the railing when he tripped twice before falling over the third time as he flew up the stairs of the idling aircraft at Joint Base Andrews.

After recovering, Biden appeared to take a moment to dust off his knee before finally making his way to the top. He then gave a salute before ducking into the cabin to take off for Georgia.

  16. Dwaz:

Ah, but Biden has considered everyone a subordinate for a long time.
Note on the first video what he says to the guy, quite gracelessly: “I’ve been around for a long time and I know more than most people.”

This is the guy who, when wooing his first wife, told her parents that one of his qualifications was that he was going to be president. He was about 23 at the time and his main accomplishment up to that point was being good at sports, being class president, and being a poor student.

  17. WH is now saying the “wind” blew Joe over… LOL

Joe needs one of those devices around his neck. I’ve fallin and I can’t getup!

Wind blew me over once … in a hurricane!
