It’s reported that in 2019 the FBI opened a money laundering investigation into Hunter Biden
Well, we already knew the FBI was given the Hunter laptop in December of 2019, didn’t we? That was the word from the computer repairman in Delaware.
And now the following has been reported by James Rosen:
A Justice Department official confirmed to journalist James Rosen of Sinclair Broadcasting Group that in 2019 the FBI “opened up a criminal investigation into Hunter Biden and his associates that is focused on allegations of money laundering and remains open and active today.”…
Bobulinski told Rosen he was interviewed by the FBI on October 23, 2020, for about five hours, with up to six agents present at one time. He made three cell phones available to the agents, who “carefully examined the digital evidence” contained on the phones.
So the FBI interview of Bobulinski was only recently, after Bobulinski had gone public with his role in the Hunter and Joe Biden story.
And I hope the interview was not merely for the purpose of Flynning Bobulinski at some future date, if you know what I mean. Because I would not put it past them.
So, what was the FBI doing with the laptop in the meantime? Perhaps Toobining themselves?
Whatever they were doing, they kept mighty mum about it, as President Trump was impeached by the Deomocrats for daring to suggest that the Ukrainians look into the Biden corruption allegations, and Joe Biden became the Democratic presidential nominee.
Perhaps the laptop was being saved as an insurance policy for Kamala.
You may have noticed more sarcasm than usual in this post. But so many events have transpired lately that have elicited in me a very bitter and cynical (and perhaps not all that funny) humor.
Your comments are broken on the earlier post about the media as part of Biden’s protection scheme. I get a message, when trying to access them, saying that page no longer exists, and suggesting the Wayback Machine.
Odd.
Testing.
Eeyore:
Your comment had gone into moderation. I’m not sure why.
Seems to be working at the moment, at least for me.
Neo, cynicism is the default position for thinking people..
Even if Trump has four more years, I don’t know how we ever recover trust in so many of our institutions. His recent order intended to strip some protective covering from Executive level bureaucrats sounded promising; but, I have seen reports that the Swamp creatures are blatantly ignoring orders that they don’t like. The line about “draining the swamp” sounded good, but there are just too many alligators–not to mention water moccasins and other crawly creatures.
The FBI seems to be gone over to the Dark Side. All of their visible actions are to obscure crimes and malfeasance. Who knows what their unseen actions are? Likewise for the DOJ, CIA, and any number of other agencies. How to we stop this? That is the question our Republic must find an answer for, and soon.
@neo
Suggest you go have a look at Sultan Knish – he has some good stuff on the Bidens.

Top men are working on the investigation. Top men.
Neo,
Its hard to feel anything but angst looking at this situation. The government and media both seem to be in cahoots to get rid of Trump. They are past making any effort to conceal that fact. The have gone all in that this is the place to make their stand. Should Trump win a second term. He needs to start firing people immediately. Give them no quarter.
But this entire situation makes something else crystal clear. Trump my be a braggart, mercurial, and a Lothario. But he seems determined to keep is promises. Loves the USA. And apparently has done nothing clearly illegal in his business dealings. Because if he had we would already know about it. And I think its this part of the basis of their hate. They have no way to bend him to their will.
Quite likely that the FBI is saying that they “opened” some “investigation” or other on Hunter Biden, etc. just to get “certain people” off their backs.
Make it look like they’re doing something about, well, someone.
Because “certain people” have been shining a huge shiny searchlight on them lately. Lots of huge shiny searchlights, in fact.
And they don’t like it much.
Therefore, these “revelations” that they are doing—have always been “doing”— their job….
IOW it’s just more misdirection. More circling the wagons. (They have a lot of wagons, it seems.)
Or it could be the sort of “investigation” where the “investigators” ask themselves, “How the pluperfect are we going to be able to cover this one up? They really put us in a pickle on this one. We’ll just have to stall ’em out. Here’s an idea: Let’s tell ’em we’ve been investigating from Day 1. Should work for a while. At least until Nov. 4…”
(Of course, I could be wrong about these sedulous G-Men. Hope so. Very much hope so….)
If Diogenes were still around, he would be looking for an honest FBI agent.
I hear tell there are such people, but every time the FBI is mentioned in the news it seems to be involved in collusion to fix elections.
Everyone’s cynicism is well warranted. Remember the FBI opened an investigation of Clinton’s email server to what results. That Huber was to investigate the Clinton Foundation and twice “lost” files on it. Of course there was Mueller.
Like in Bush 43 second term the “middle management” of the Federal Government has declared war on the Trump administration. The Schedule F effort while small will yield results. Ultimately you need a hard nosed, kick tail, no excuses HR director who forces middle management to follow the processes and procedure of the government. These people are acting “out of process” and if they get disciplined up to termination you will get results.
But I want to focus on the issue of Tucker Carlson’s USP package tampering. Think about this. Some agency is surveilling Tucker Carlson as Bobulinski was not part of that conversation on the documents that was being overnighted. Under the TRUMP ADMINISTRATION a government entity is spying on a US citizen! I don’t believe it is China or another foreign entity as they would not have the infrastructure to intercept a package.
Tucker’s on air description about how UPS recovered the flash drive bolsters my belief this is a US agency. That the package got opened and the flash drive fell on the floor and just showed up on a supervisors desk strains credulity. Most likely, the US government has in place with agreement from UPS the ability to open/inspect certain packages. That the agent who got the order to pull the package and send it up the chain of command was in that person’s mind a mundane task that has been done before. A bureaucratic “banality of evil” touch to this caper. Then the ordering agency opened the package, copied the drive and returned it. The agency wanted to know what was on that drive so the Biden Family could know how serious it was.
Think about the implications of that.
UPS’s vague responses about this further reinforces my thinking. Imagine
the fallout to their reputation if the public found out that they, USPS, FED EX and DHL all had similar agreements in place thanks to the Patriot Act.
In other words, the security apparatus of the United States is making decisions independent of the elected leaders for it’s own reasons and purposes. Remember Schumer warning to Trump that the intelligence agencies has 7 ways from Sunday of getting back at you. They have demonstrating this over and over. This is the threat to us.
I have come to the conclusion that the FBI must be disbanded. From Hoover to Freeh to Mueller to Comey and now Wray the FBI has proven to work against the American people. The culture is too corrupt to repair. The investigative part should go to the US Marshall office. The counter-intelligence to Treasury Secret Service and the forensic lab can remain independent with no investigative ability.
Finally the Patriot Act needs serious revision. The war on terror has morphed to the war on disagreement. The only way this will change if Trump is re-elected and Republicans take back the House so agencies will be forced to reform.
Vote as your current way of life depends upon it. Because it does.
Ratio of sarcastic to cynical observations increases…
Neo,
“If you drain the swamp, they come up on dry land and eat you”.
That’s only if you let them.
If you drain the swamp, they come up on dry land and eat you.
neo: You hit a high note there!
A conservative aphorism for the 21st C.
Who would have thought, four years ago, that the FBI, CIA, Justice Department, and most of the Washington media would go all in on trying to mount a coup against the elected government?
Is it so hard to believe that, when he wins again, and by a bigger margin, that they will do their damndest to throw a four-year temper tantrum in the streets? It won’t work in middle America, outside the inner city, but they can make life hell in those cities, and the northeast, and California.
Remember how the FBI whitewashed Hillary and her emails, ignored the IRS scandal, and went after Flynn. Wray is the new Comey.
@Spartacus
Of course the agencies have those agreements with shipping companies, just like they do with phone companies.
Sarcasm is the proper way to respond to Dems and lefties…
If Biden wins, the deep state totalitarian boot licking bureaucrats will gain even more power.
But at least much, if not yet most, of America knows they’re rotten. Maybe to the core.
If Trump wins, he should treat the FBI agents who have slow walked their jobs as enemy agents. And fire them.
But the USA needs a replacement.
The US Marshalls should be hugely increased in size, drawing upon other military & border patrol and state investigation agencies.
And then they should get the job of investigating all the middle managers at the FBI, for every crime, but especially abuse of power, dereliction of duty, obstruction of justice, and destruction of evidence.
There should also be a Special Prosecutor to look at Hillary’s illegal email – and all the cover up.
A Rep Congress should defund the FBI, after funding the US Marshals to replace it.
Welcome to ymar s world, neo. Hence the sarcastuc bitter flavor
Nov 12 to 20, elections resolved.
The US Marshalls etc. are just hanging on hooks waiting for something useful to do.

This. Additionally, he ignored their status as gatekeepers to the power structure, sought no donations from the usual suspects (with the accompanying expectations of influence), and he has no interest in their advice or opinions.
Of all the unmitigated gall…

What to do when the swamp creatures come after you?
The same thing as when the Devil turns on you when the “laws are all flat”

It’s worse than you think Spartacus. Remember when Dwight Eisenhower talked about the military industrial complex problem? Oh yea. It goes way back. Remember Operation Paperclip? Oh yea, it goes back further than that.
I don’t feel any angst now, but I did back in 2007 when nobody understood what the heck I was talking about on this subject. The Deep State hadn’t even become a term yet. I had to create my own, which I called the Leftist alliance because they were organized like a mafia, and not like a political party.
If you come up on dry land, be sure not to meet Ymar. Because I have a kukri now.
People thought Ymar was just a kook or clown, but sometimes clowns are real killers and the most dangerous of all.
The book, “THE NAKED COMMUNIST”, written by Cleon Skousen in the 1950’s, had 45 goals for defeating the United States from within. These goals were written by the Russians and Chinese. One of the goals was “to discredit and destroy the FBI”. The FBI was created sometime around the great depression to get the Communists out of the federal government. The McCarthy hearings were part of that effort.
Skousen, one of the top employees of the FBI, became the most knowledgable person in the United States on Communism. If you haven’t read it, it is a treasure trove on information about what is going on today.
Also go to “ondemand.ewtn.com” and watch the video “A Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing”. These two sources will tell you everything that you don’t know about what the “Deep State” has been doing for many decades.
