Today’s Hunter Biden news — 32 Comments

  1. If only Giuliani were AG (Barr, for all his intelligent statements and his reassuringly sensible interviews, appears to be “all bark and no bite”), this would be receiving the official attention which it richly merits. Our beleaguered republic must not allow a senile old fool (controlled by an ambitious and ruthless Lady Macbeth), who is completely compromised by a shockingly immoral and corrupt son, to gain victory in less than three weeks.

  2. Rudy says there is more. Check his website and youtube channel.

This is astounding. Joe Biden got $15m from the Chinese!

  3. Sandy, none of this will matter, just like the ongoing investigation into Russiagate. There are two tiers of justice in this country, and two ways of how the media deals with issues when it pertains to the political parties.

  4. I can’t remember where I read it, but there was comment by someone from the Ukraine who said Biden was known as the Viceroy because he sat in on cabinet meetings and told the government what to do. Interesting if true.

  5. Oh, we know who “Jim” and “The Big Guy” are, don’t we- Jim and Joe Biden respectively

  6. Josh,

I don’t think that’s true in all judicial jurisdictions but if this scandal doesn’t result in prosecutions there will be no doubt that the rule of law is completely gone.

In which case, it will be time for “politics by other means”. For our choice will be a binary one; acceptance of 1984 or fight in another 1776…

“when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.” Declaration of Independence

  8. I have a lefty journalist acquaintance who simply dismissed the entire Biden Family Corruption Scandal as “lies printed by a disreputable news paper that have already been totally debunked by at least ten different reputable media sources.”

I have no idea how you get through to people like that.

He still believes the Russia Collusion story.

  9. Roy. — how did your lefty friend get so indoctrinated? Repetition can hypnotise.

Rudy reminds us that the powerful three letter bureaucracies plus DoS or State Department must be torn down completely. Complete razing. Complete destruction.

Only then can something worthy be built.

  10. This is the story from Powell’s tweet:
    https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2020/10/14/also-not-on-joe-bidens-official-schedule-oval-office-meeting-on-michael-flynn-investigation/

There have been other instances identified of “missing” meetings.
Via ACE: “Biden did this at least 2 other times – he met Hunter’s Chinese business partner and arranged an Oval Office meeting for his son-in-law”

The official schedule is apparently a lot like my calendar: you put things on that you know are supposed to happen, and you don’t always go back and write down the things that DID happen, even if you don’t mind other people knowing. Biden obviously was not concerned about the 2 known meetings being, um, known.

Keep following Ace’s posts today, and you see most of the news.

  11. The Biden story has kind of segued into a Twitter-Facebook censoring story — obviously connected — which has turned up some other odd connections..

    https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2020/10/15/twitter-tilting-elections-censoring-info-partnering-left-financed-voting-groups/

“While preventing users from accessing the Post’s story and thus suppressing the potentially damaging information, the social media giant conveniently neglected to disclose its own significant conflict of interest involving its partnership with two leftist-financed groups deeply involved in voter participation efforts, including drives pushing mail-in balloting.”

    https://www.breitbart.com/tech/2020/10/15/facebook-and-twitter-censor-biden-bombshells-weeks-after-execs-join-his-transition-team/

“Following the publication of the New York Post’s bombshell story about the Biden family’s business dealings in Ukraine, Facebook and Twitter worked hard to suppress the story across their platforms. The censorship comes just weeks after executives from both firms joined the Biden transition team.”

    https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1316713917138300930.html

It’s so weird that the big social media platforms simultaneously decided to throw away their “platform, not a publisher” protection to suppress a flimsy nothingburger story that should be like the buzzing of flies to a candidate with an insurmountable lead in the polls.

It almost makes you wonder if maybe that candidate knew even worse revelations were coming, so he got in touch with his very dear friends at the social media giants and told them to crush the early releases at all costs, to shut the whole chain of stories down.

DNC Media long ago mastered the art of the soft embargo. They simply refuse to amplify stories that don’t fit their precious political narratives, while the stories that DO fit get wall-to-wall coverage. They don’t confront Democrats about inconvenient stories.

We know all the tricks by heart: “Republicans pounce” framing, changing the subject, whataboutism, attacking the sources of inconvenient stories, downplaying them as “old news” or “debunked” when they really aren’t.

For Big Tech to instantly leap directly to Chinese Communist-style hard embargoes – clumsy, obvious, and coordinated suppression of information, so ham-fisted that it clearly risks bringing government regulators down on their heads – over a trifling story seems illogical.

All the soft embargo tools were readily available. They could have said it was just “old news,” everybody knows Hunter Biden is a train wreck. They could have used “Republicans pounce” to wave the whole thing off as a partisan smear. No way they’d ask Joe Biden for comment.

But instead they instantly leaped to an unprecedented level of China-style hard oppression that was all but guaranteed to make the story a much bigger deal, and their actions could well have disastrous repercussions for the Big Tech companies. And this fallout was predictable.

It doesn’t take a genius to see that the New York Post isn’t some internet rando with 100 followers who can be squashed without blowback, or to see that people become 1,000 times more interested in a story they are arrogantly ordered not to read.* [ see Babylon Bee]

And it’s predictable that this hard embargo tactic would raise deafening cries of election interference, because it obviously IS. No bubble is thick enough to keep the people who did this from seeing what the response would be, but they did it anyway, without hesitation. /end

“You’re free to speak… as long as you don’t discuss topics the Big Tech companies have decided to forbid, as long as you don’t say anything they have decided is “disinformation” or “hate speech.” The definitions of these forbidden words change as they see fit.
Yesterday anonymous sources, leaked information, illicitly obtained data, and unconfirmed rumors were the very essence of journalism, amplified to thunderous volume by thousands of accounts and millions of retweets. Today they are suddenly forbidden and silenced by force”

    https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1316352280032169985.html
“The media’s complaints about transparency in the Trump White House are hilarious when you consider how opaque Obama’s was, and Biden’s would be – with the active complicity of the media. Reporters will block damaging stories like Secret Service agents diving in front of bullets.

  12. This post deserves its own comment.

The FBI Seized the Hunter Biden Computer in December 2019 – Ignored the Crimes, Did Nothing and Gave the Biden Family a Complete Pass
By Joe Hoft Published October 14, 2020

“The FBI is one of the major reasons that Americans feel there is a two-tiered system of justice. The Democrat Party and its leadership are immune to investigations for their many corrupt deeds but Republicans are indicted for made up lies they didn’t make to the FBI.

How many stories landed with the FBI that were ignored because the participants were on the team protected by the FBI? How many criminals walk free because the FBI buries their crimes and refuses to investigate? Maybe it is time to shut down the FBI and start over.”

Trump is President, Barr is head of DOJ – both are nominally the bosses of the FBI; yet, after the shredding of their reputation over Russiagate, the Feebs still do something like this, sitting on the evidence all through the impeachment farrago.

Some one suggested that Trump knew about the emails early on and was holding the information for October; I doubt that very much. Giuliani apparently put the news out as soon as he got a copy (thoroughly legal, not hacked or anonymous).

  13. Is life imitating art, or is satire becoming too predictable?

From another comment I made above:
*”It doesn’t take a genius to see that the New York Post isn’t some internet rando with 100 followers who can be squashed without blowback, or to see that people become 1,000 times more interested in a story they are arrogantly ordered not to read.”*

  14. And then there is this data point:
    https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2020/10/whistleblower-delivered-computer-fbi-senator-ron-johnson-admits-hunter-biden-computer-whistleblower-contacted-senate-committee-video/

Senator Ron Johnson: Sean, I think we’re just scratching the surface… This whistleblower contacted us the day we issued our report. he contacted us. But he also delivered this computer to the FBI. What did they do with it?… The only reason I’m talking about this whistleblower is this whistleblower went public. So i acknowledged that he contacted us the day after he’d seen our report. We had talked to him. But we are in the process of validating his claims. We take it all with a grain of salt. Obviously, the New York Post felt strongly enough that they actually went with the story. We were trying to validate the claims.

Dyer believes “our report” is this one:
    https://libertyunyielding.com/2020/10/15/takeaways-from-biden-laptop-hunter-an-accomplished-grifter-the-delaware-way/#!/back

*UPDATE*: Sen. Ron Johnson spoke to Sean Hannity on Fox Wednesday evening and said the “whistleblower” – a reference to the repair shop owner – contacted his committee the day he and Chuck Grassley issued the Senate report on Joe Biden’s conflicts of interest in Ukraine. (I’m presuming that’s the report he alludes to.) That report was issued on 23 September 2020. Johnson says they’ve been working to confirm the facts behind the NY Post report, and obviously have the same question asked here: what has the FBI or the Delaware USA been doing with the laptop since December 2019? (H/t Gateway Pundit on the video clip.)

  15. I think the Twitter / Facebook censuring is the big story. Because the corruption of Biden was “known”, tho perhaps unseen by those who don’t want to believe it.

Twitter and Facebook are “all in” on pushing Biden.

Lots of DoJ & FBI are in total CYA (cover your butt) mode, and hoping Trump loses to take the pressure of the truth off.

  16. I disagree with Tom Grey. Twitter and FB censoring is a big story, but is it a ploy to take the bullet to move attention away from the Biden corruption? Guiliani seems to hint that there’s so much more, including the method used to distribute ill gotten gains among the family.

To be fair, the provenance of the laptop must be proved, but once that’s done let the dogs out. The timing is a bit off: there may not be enough time before the election happens for all this to come to fruition.

  17. The Biden corruption tale has long legs.

REAKING — Lawyer Rudy Giuliani Authenticates the Biden Emails, Reveals Telling Details
On Friday morning in New York City, on the FoxNews programme “Fox and Friends”, the lawyer for the computer repair shop in Delaware that came into possession of the alleged Hunter Biden Email cache explained that he personally withheld some 10 authenticating texts that independently verify that these are indeed what they appear to be: an enormous cache of emails, photos, and video from Joe Biden’s son, Hunter’s computer.

In a short 5 minute interview, the former Federal Prosecutor of organized crime — including the notorious crime families called the Mafia — puts to rest the providence and the custody chain of this block buster criminal evidence.

Some six months after sharing the original contents of the laptop computer with FBI, Giuliani’s lawyer was contacted by the Mac repairman. After two weeks, his own lawyer took possession. Then Giuliani himself did the same.

Apparently, the computer repairman took offence at how badly Giuliani was treated last year (during the President’s impeachment?), and thus came onto his radar as a possible resource to reach out for help.

Now, that answers the chain of custody issue. Next, Giuliani explains the crucial independent authentication issue and how it ties this cache of documents to Hunter, specifically and personally.

The first are the intimate private photo and video evidence. But more traditionally, Giuliani states that he has personally withheld and kept possession of some ten Email texts concerning a back door appointment that Hunter had with the US State Department for (or with?) the Chinese government.

These appointments are logged and recorded independently.

It’s one hour after the Giuliani interview and FoxNews F&Fs tout his further claim of Hunter Biden ties to Chinese Intelligence setting up an office together.

Furthermore, Giuliani states that this creates dangerous national security holes for our adversary to exploit. FoxNews tells us that the Biden camp says that this meeting to arrange office space with Chinese authorities never took place.

Giuliani went on with four to six more charges based on the document cache: continual crack cocaine use over 5 years, making Hunter a blackmail national security risk, is only the other most relevant theme at the moment. There’s so much more to come.

This interview will soon appear online and I will link to it when it does. Another vital source of analysis will come very soon from pundit Dan Bongino. Bongino was a New York City cop and retired from the US Secret Service during the Bush and Obama years.

Therefore, Bongino is eminently capable of breaking down the significance of Giuliani’s revelations with the expert authority of his personal career experience on his nearly daily hourlong podcasts; listen online for free.

    Stay tuned. More to come

  18. From far off Western Australia, JoNova presents a concise overview of the Biden laptop story. I haven’t come across anything better to share with a noob to the scandal. Perhaps you’ve got something better? If so, please post.

As we all know, the climax of the Presidential election year arrives in less than three weeks. This is our last chance to persuade neighbours and friends — possibly new friends? — to come out and vote.

This event gives us the best chance to persuade the reluctant! Carpe diem — seize the day…. Here is how I thanked this Aussie:

Ah! Time to feel the Schadenfreude! The glee at the guilty graft-ridden corruptoCrats getting exposed!

This sight limited Mac repairman shall be feted a national Hero for exercising good conscience after the corrupt FBI let him and the nation down again. And MAGAProps to the saviour of New York for assisting another rescue, former New York City Mayor Giuliani, for this story’s timely exposure!

And dear Joanne — you have provided your readers from abroad the most concise, accurate and even elegant condensation of this heinous crime family tale. Read it again, my fellow Americans, and vote accordingly:

BidenGate breaks: Facebook, Twitter censor the Whitehouse as “unsafe”, but FBI AWOL

Hard to say what’s bigger in the October Surprise. Joe Biden gets caught lying in an alleged pay-for-play scandal, Facebook and Twitter do naked political censorship to influence the US election in a “Digital Civil War” , or that the FBI was given all the information last year and didn’t say a thing.

Everything the Democrats accused Trump of doing they were apparently doing themselves.

  19. This is fun! Just The News has the longest and best piece on Amanda Milius new documentary film — “The Plot Against The President” — and the path that led her to direct it.

How and why in one word? Trump!
    https://justthenews.com/accountability/russia-and-ukraine-scandals/plot

“The Plot Against The President” premiered on FoxNews on Friday night October 10th. You can find it on YouTube now for free.

    Excertp:

Milius understands the power, and clarity, of cinema versus a book or series of op-eds. It’s why she sharpened her skill set to make “Plot.”

“Ask an average person what happened in ‘RussiaGate,’ and they’d get lost in tangents,” she says. “We digest information on a night-to-night news basis. Every story, and every important through line, has been chopped up … the attention span of the country is so schizophrenic.”

That’s where a documentary comes in, she argues.

“So much has happened in the last four years,” she says. “Nobody can keep track of all of this. ‘Plot’ offers real, first-hand sources, not just people who are offering their opinions on what happened.”

Smith supports the film version of his book so that a different audience is exposed to its lessons.

“This story is being shaped so that it’s not getting out in the way it should be getting out,” Smith says, an issue he partly blames on mainstream media outlets.

“None of this would have happened without the media,” Smith says. “That’s why you have The Washington Post getting all these leaks of classified intercepts, all illegal.”

  20. Neo – here’s a story that fits with TJ’s, although I don’t think it’s the same one.

    https://www.foxnews.com/politics/biden-emails-hunter-joe-rudy-giuliani-photos-texts-emails

The former New York City mayor said Friday that Hunter Biden’s lawyer made a “very big mistake.”

“Before this was even out, they were just called about it,” Giuliani said. “The first thing he does is call that merchant and he says can I have my client’s hard drive back? So, he is basically admitting for his client as his client’s agent, that’s Hunter Biden’s hard drive.”

“It’s authentic as hell,” he claimed. “Some of those pictures on it can only have come from him, and I’ll tell you why I know it for sure. I have about 10 pieces of confidential information nobody knows except me and Hunter Biden. Kept it that way. I investigated cases for 50 years. Every one of those hits the mark.

Giuliani handed a handful over to the New York Post, which has released several reports, beginning Wednesday, purporting that Hunter Biden introduced his father, then-vice president Joe Biden, to an executive at Burisma Holdings — the Ukrainian energy firm where Hunter Biden sat on the board.

Giuliani, who claimed there were thousands more emails to examine, said he had an anonymous source who told him about Hunter Biden’s meeting at the State Department, which would violate the Foreign Agents Registration Act, where he “was taken in the back door and kept off the books.” Giuliani’s source, he said, told him about the date, and he claimed the date shows up in Hunter Biden’s emails setting up the appointment, the date and the exact time.

Within the material, Giuliani said the photographs “make him a national security risk… because every photograph I have, China has plus a lot more. They reveal federal crimes… they reveal numerous times where he was totally gone on crack.”

I briefly considered the possibility that the story was a hoax, but that was way too complicated. Someone would have had to fake the emails and pictures, fake the water damage (just enough to justify repairs, not enough to ruin the data), deliberately fail to answer the repairman’s calls to retrieve the computer, assume that the repairman would pass the material on to the FBI, which would virtuously bring it out during the impeachment circus and (ta-dah!!) shift the focus definitively to the Biden corruption and off of Trump’s phone call.

One major problem is that the computer was left at the shop long before the impeachment process started (or, rather, before Pelosi and Gang found the cause in the Ukraine phone call that they could shoe-horn into a pre-existing impeachment plan).

Even cutting out the first part by having the repairman do the fakery himself after the IC whistleblower did his thing, since the FBI smothered his “bombshell” and ruined his plan, why bring it up now, much later, when doing so would only subject him to intense investigation that might reveal his forgery?

(PS the FBI probably did do that investigation last year; they just didn’t tell the AG or President. Which argues that they found it was NOT a forgery.)

Of course, Rudy might have been the instigator all along, planting the information that only he knows so he could, circularly, claim it validates the planted data.
That gets us into serious Russiagate analogies, where the IC conspirators leaked parts of Steele’s dossier to the media, then used media reports to justify their FISA warrants.

I think I will go with “authentic data and honest businessman.”

  21. Looking for that story, I found this older post — looks even more relevant now.
(posted before the computer was taken by the FBI in December)

    https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-11-23/giuliani-says-biden-documents-to-be-released-if-i-disappear

    Tweet by Giuliani

    TRUTH ALERT:

The statement I’ve made several times of having an insurance policy, if thrown under bus, is sarcastic & relates to the files in my safe about the Biden Family’s 4 decade monetizing of his office.

If I disappear, it will appear immediately along with my RICO chart.

Mentioning the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, the federal law aimed at prosecuting organized crime, may imply Giuliani still has information that’s not been released publicly from his days as a U.S. Attorney.

Also on Saturday Giuliani, a former federal prosecutor, said on Twitter that “the Mafia couldn’t kill me so NO, I am not worried about the swamp press.”

Saturday was a busy day on social media for the former New York City mayor, who’s said to be under investigation for possible campaign finance violations and a failure to register as a foreign agent. He said, again without elaborating, that he “plans to bring out a massive pay-for-play scheme under the Obama administration that will devastate the Democrat Party.”

During two weeks of impeachment hearings Giuliani was mentioned multiple times by State Department officials testifying on whether Trump improperly withheld military aid to Ukraine. Two of Giuliani’s associates, Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman, were charged in October in a campaign finance scheme.

Asked Saturday if the charges against his associates would extend to him, Giuliani demurred.

“You think I’m afraid?” Giuliani said. “You think I get afraid? I did the right thing. I represented my client in a very, very effective way. I was so effective that I discovered a pattern of corruption that the Washington press has been covering up for three or four years.”

The pillows have been in place for a lot longer than that, of course.

  22. You can hear it from Giuliani directly via a link at Treehouse.
    https://theconservativetreehouse.com/2020/10/15/rudy-giuliani-explains-the-biden-family-payoff-scheme/

“Perhaps most disturbingly, former New York Mayor Giuliani outlines the government offices/agencies who have been handed this evidence -yet refused to take action. Including: DOJ (various offices including main justice); FBI local field offices and Washington DC; and the U.S. State Department.”

  23. TJ’s first post is a comment from “Orson,” at his JoNova link, .
I should have looked there first!

    It was way down.
Jo says this: “The emails were found on a computer dropped off for repair 18 months ago. The service was never paid for or the laptop retrieved.”

That makes it last April; I couldn’t remember reading that earlier somewhere, but probably did.

    She continues:

Twitter and Facebook don’t just have a vested interest in getting corrupt Big Gov elected, it’s practically their business model. The last thing the Tech Giants want is to “Drain The Swamp Trump” to get reelected:

Trump threatens their Big-Government protection racket, and an anti-trust case might break them up.

Big Tech and Big Media have been censoring skeptical scientists for years. Now they censor major media outlets and even The Whitehouse. As long as they do this, sharing the censored news is just a public service announcement.

What is science without free speech….

  24. Just coincidentally, another commenter at JoNova led me to a story about the QAnon tweet that figured in the second debate (Trump vs moderator), which I hadn’t actually seen anything about and had no idea what the problem was.
    Commenter first, story second.

Action is and has taken place, by players exposing the swamp, by developing purpose built video servers.

[sic]Attention all Patrons and Friends, this message from our friend and producer, Jason Goodman of Crowdsource the Truth
    ***VIMEO ACCOUNT TERMINATED***
Hello everyone, sorry if this was not properly announced. A little more than 12 hours after this video was published, VIMEO terminated Crowdsource the Truth’s account. It is important to remember Barry Diller’s IAC (InterActiveCorp) owns both VIMEO and The Daily Beast which, in the same exact time frame, came out of the gate with a story “debunking” the Falconer’s “conspiracy theory” and besmirching POTUS for having retweeted it.
    https://www.thedailybeast.com/trump-touts-falconers-benghazi-blood-sacrifice-conspiracy-theory
VIMEO’s termination of the account has taken nearly all sponsor exclusive videos offline temporarily. For the next few days an intermediate account will host new videos, and the Crowdsource the Truth sponsor exclusive library will become available again once the new, purpose built video server which has been in development for the past several months is complete. Thank you for your patience in this matter

Trump’s endorsement of the insane story shot it to national prominence, fueling the bizarre allegations about blood sacrifice and Bin Laden body doubles.
    Will Sommer Updated Oct. 14, 2020 11:01AM ET / Published Oct. 13, 2020 7:08PM ET

President Donald Trump backed a budding conspiracy theory on Tuesday that four Americans were killed in the 2012 Benghazi attack to cover up the blood-sacrifice of Navy SEALs and the “fact” that Osama Bin Laden is still alive, marking what is perhaps the president’s strangest brush yet with far-right conspiracy theories.

Trump’s promotion of the new Benghazi conspiracy theory, which is fast gaining traction on the far right, came in the form of a retweet of a QAnon believer pushing the claim. The president’s backing helped push the tweet about Benghazi above 14,000 retweets. Trump retweeted another video about the conspiracy theory later on Tuesday night, marking the second time he had promoted the Benghazi claims on Twitter.

Hiden Biden and Obama may have had Seal Team 6 killed! EXPLOSIVE: CIA Whistleblower Exposes Biden’s Alleged Role with the Deaths of Seal Team- Claims to have Documented Proof. RETWEET!!! https://t.co/uA6VAjiw35

    — Oscar the Midnight Rider 1111 (@The171111) October 12, 2020
The bizarre theory, which is outre even by the standards of the right’s usual Benghazi claims, also alleges that Osama Bin Laden’s body-double, rather than the terrorist mastermind himself, was killed in 2011.

All those claims come from a falconer who says he uncovered secrets about Al-Qaeda, Iran, and U.S. intelligence in his work as a falconer for Middle Eastern power players.

Alan Howell Parrot, the subject of a 2010 documentary about his falconry called Feathered Cocaine, has shot to new fame on the right after a video interview with him played over the weekend at the American Priority Conference, a pro-Trump event held at Trump’s Miami resort.

In the video, Parrot, interviewed by conservative personality Nick Noe and the father of a former Navy SEAL who died in Benghazi, makes a series of bizarre claims alleging collusion between Iran, former Vice President Joe Biden, and Hillary Clinton ahead of the attack.

    etc etc

A couple of years ago, I would have dismissed completely any such wild claims.
Now that we know definitively that the Intelligence Community of the USA was embroiled in a coup to take down an elected president … not so much.
