Thank you, Thank you, THANK YOU! [BUMPED UP – scroll down for new posts]
I’ve retired the post asking for donations that was at the top of the blog for a little over a week. Of course, you’re welcome to contribute at any time of year.
But I want to extend a huge “thank you” to everyone who donated. You are, quite simply, the best. Without you, the readers and commenters at this blog, I wouldn’t be blogging. I deeply appreciate every single one of you.
“I deeply appreciate every single one of you.”
. . . and we, you, neo. No doubt about it.
Very best,
M J R
Neo: Your sanity and intelligence are a treasure for us all. Thanks.
I am glad I was able to donate. I think of it as putting my money where my mouth is.
“Your sanity and intelligence are a treasure for us all”
And her honesty. No one on the internet comments with more honesty and sincerity than neo.
Neo, I’m gonna be late to get my coin in.
But I’m finding the gloom a doom — see your post on disbelief and the 70 some comment — evident in the past five days that I’ve not visited here, requires pushback.
Three recent credible polls show a close election and solid Trump strength, Rasmussen is one, another commissioned by a London pape (The Express, I believe), now this headline from instapundit:
“CHANGE: Trump approval back to 51% and supporters 70% more enthusiastic than Biden’s. Only 70%?“

There are others. For example, a tweet from left leaning Eric Weinstein (Peter Thiel’s investment advisor, brother of Bret the evolutionary biologist formerly of Evergreen State College), who is brilliant and well-connected with the well-connected, ie, influencers.
Eric says that at least two Leftist friends are turning away from Biden, listing two reasons: Biden is senile; second, Democrats have abandoned the cities.
I say history says Americans vote for the Law and Order Party after riots, and we will do so again, this time. Ergo, optimism.
Oh. One final note of optimism.
Seb Gorka’s growing radio show had on someone closely connected with the Trump campaign. He made the case, and Seb agreed, that the retooled campaign is making strides with hard hitting adverts. From what I heard of the commercials descriptions, they are smart, pointed, devasting.
It’s August. And even with Virus Crisis, people are taking at least abbreviated summer vacations.
Neo, thanks for your honest, reasonable, thoughtful writing. I especially appreciate your lack of snark and how you never “play” your readers. And I love your dance/music/fashion posts. It’s great to be reminded that there’s life outside politics. Please keep up the good work as long as you can.
