Of course, it’s the fault of the Jews — 16 Comments

  1. Things like this is why David Gilmore banned Roger from the Pink Floyd website and is also why David wouldn’t do a Pink Floyd tour if Roger was involved.

  2. I quite like Pink Floyd’s work from basically Meddle to A Momentary Lapse of Reason. It helps being a guitarist and keyboardist.

However, Roger Waters has long been a net negative to humanity, and I don’t think the band suffered much once he was gone. The bits of The Wall in which he was left to his own devices with minimal collaboration from the others still sound like rough demos to me. The loss of Richard Wright was a tougher blow to bear.

  3. He’s actually recycling bilge emitted by Philip Giraldi. Giraldi was at one time an aspirant academic who managed to land a position in the intelligence agencies (or so he says; they do not provide references). He’s Alison Weir’s principal collaborator in ‘If Americans Knew’. For some puzzling reason, Ron Unz allocates space to him at The Unz Review. (Unz contributors are nuts as a rule. He has a few non-nuts like Steven Sailer to drive traffice).

  4. I was a die-hard for Pink Floyd. However, for me the glory years of Floyd were before Roger Waters gained control of the group with “Dark Side of the Moon.”

“Dark Side” was a giant step forward for the group in achieving a highly professional sound with a unified concept but the lyrics were so relentlessly negative, I found the album repulsive.

The next album, the double-sided, semi-autobiographical “The Wall,” struck me, even in my twenties, as even more repulsive, stupid and nihilistic because of Waters’ lyrics.

Later I noticed Roger Waters’ anti-Semitism peeking out, as well as his control issues with the rest of the band and I sided with the band.

Somewhere after that I stopped attending to Floyd. David Gilmour, the leader of the band after splitting with Waters, remains a master rock guitarist and from what I can tell a pretty decent guy. But for me, Pink Floyd never went beyond producing spacey rock confections with overly elaborate stage shows.

I could not tell later Floyd albums apart and it didn’t seem worth the bother to try.

  5. I was a huge Pink Floyd fan. I have been very disappointed about Water’s disgusting anti-semitism.

  6. I don’t really care about the opinions of some has been rock-and-roller. I do care that the entire Congressional Black Caucus are friends with Lewis Farrakhan and Al Sharpton, straight up anti- semites. It also bothered me tremendously that virtually every Democrat candidate for President felt obliged to kiss Sharpton’s ring and get his approval. There is also a large BDS following, which is just disguised anti-semitism, in the Democrat Party. So far it hasn’t surfaced in the latest craziness, but it’s coming too.

  7. Have had the good fortune to backpack & climb on 5 continents over the past 30 years, and the “universal” nature of the prejudice against two groups has always stood out: Jews and Homosexuals.

I’ll add that of all the League of Nations mandates established after WWI – former German and Ottoman Empire territory in the Middle East, Africa and Oceania – only the territory that became Israel is subject to this level of “scrutiny”.

None of the former African or Oceania mandates have ever been called illegitimate, or are still struggling to have their authority and borders accepted.

Tanzania is not described as illegitimate. Samoa’ authority to govern their nation is not challenged. Namibia has not been consistently pressured to concede territory and alter their borders. All are former League of Nations mandates too.

Most of the former League of Nations mandates are also comprised of multiple ethnic groups too.

And many of the people who identify as Palestinian also believe that territory that became part of Jordon belongs to them too.

Jordon has not had to defend itself from coordinated military attacks by it’ neighbors, is not routinely “punished” by groups founded to support all nations, does not have it’ economy subject to BDS movements, or have to defend it’s citizens from terrorist groups funded by Western nations.

And the sole reason that Jordon is not subject to the same “scrutiny” is that it is not a Jewish state.

Lastly, the fact is there was never a Palestine nation or government that was overthrown by the WWI allies, the British, the Israelis, or the Jordanians. It was the German and Ottoman empires that were defeated; yet only the former League of Nations mandate governed by Jews is expected to suffer the consequences of the Palestinian dream/ mirage.

  8. I’d seen some eyebrow-raising, very suspect comments about Israel by Waters, but this goes way beyond those. It should earn him widespread disgrace though I guess it won’t.

As for Floyd, I love a lot of their stuff but found The Wall, which apparently was Waters’ magnum opus, something of a bore. The remark above about Rick Wright struck me, as I was listening to some early Floyd recently and realized how important he was to the group.

  9. Pink Floyd hasn’t made anything worth listening to since Syd Barrett went around the bend.

  10. “So far it hasn’t surfaced…”

    Absolutely. Not yet.
But it doesn’t take a Weatherman to tell that the Jews—and the Zionist Entity—are next up in the batting order…not that they’ve been neglected, exactly, as there have been a few more “pressing concerns” of late….
(Or maybe it does take one, actually, for all too many of “the Frozen”…in rigid lockstep with the Democratic Party.)
Needless to say, the “woke” amongst them will join—has already joined—the “resistance” to earnestly enforce “what is right”.

  11. I just realized that this discussion of Pink Floyd band members, lyrics, political views mean nothing to me as I didn’t follow but a few single Rock and Roll performers or groups, and then it wasn’t a religion to me. Except for maybe Roy Orbison.

Jews should get some relief from being blamed for all bad things…. White is the new Jew. we will take some of the load off of the Jews

  12. Antisemitism is the grand unifying theory of hate. In addition to standard issue bigotry, racism, xenophobia, religious weirdness, etc, etc., etc., it’s amazing resilience as a hatred is because it is also an old old conspiracy theory. Antisemites don’t even need any actual Jews.

Now, back to my previously scheduled plot to destroy the earth from my kitchen table.

  13. 100% complete agreement here. Of all the times in history these wonderful altruistic people have been expelled from a host culture, every single time it was completely one way traffic of unprovoked unreasoning discrimination. It is one of those rare occurrences on earth where there truly is only one side to a story, takes one to tango, and so on. Never have any culture of people been so eager to help and uplift others as those marvelous put upon folks. Once this black/white issue is dealt with I believe some form of reparations should be discussed, pass the hat among gentiles to redress past wrongs. What do you say, gang? I got $30 in my bank account. I want to make a difference.

Reparations to any group is, in general, a bad idea for a lot of reasons, but a greater show of gratitude to the Jews, and a lesser display of hate, would be wonderful.

The Hebrew Bible explains the meaning of the personal and tribal name “Judah”—from which the term “Jews” derives—in terms of “praising” or “thanking” (*ydy/ydh). In other words, the “Jews” are those who are to be “praised out of a feeling of gratitude.” This has important implications for the Lord’s words to Nephi regarding Gentile ingratitude and antisemitism: “And what thank they the Jews for the Bible which they receive from them?” (2 Nephi 29:4). Gentile Christian antisemitism, like the concomitant doctrine of supersessionism, can be traced (in part) to widespread misunderstanding and misapplication of Paul’s words regarding Jews and “praise” (Romans 2:28-29). Moreover, the strongest scriptural warnings against antisemitism are to be found in the Book of Mormon, which also offers the reassurance that the Jews are still “mine ancient covenant people” (2 Nephi 29:4-5) and testifies of the Lord’s love and special concern for them.

Another relevant LDS scripture is “Yea, and ye need not any longer hiss, nor spurn, nor make game of the Jews, nor any of the remnant of the house of Israel; for behold, the Lord remembereth his covenant unto them, and he will do unto them according to that which he hath sworn” (3 Nephi 29:8).

  15. Some interesting articles about current events.

The Los Angelinos are setting up for a massive social experiment.
I actually hope it will work the way they claim.
Maybe there will be a better mix of armed police & unarmed social interventionists that comes out of it.
But, realistically, they are positing an ideal situation that does not exist.
No amount of good intentions will deter gangs, organized crime syndicates, and psychopaths.

    By Jonathan S. Tobin June 19, 2020

The heightened sensitivity about racism has led not merely to an epidemic of insincere virtue signaling about racism. It’s also brought about a flood of accusations against alleged offenders that have more to do with politics, and out-of-control illiberal and intolerant social-media mobs, than making the country a better place. The widespread “canceling” of people who are deemed racists is becoming a serious problem.

The question is, if it’s so easy to cancel someone for not going along with the prevailing orthodoxy about what constitutes racism, why does engaging in anti-Semitism not bring about the same moral opprobrium from the media and the cultural forces taking down people for dissenting from the Black Lives Matter catechism?

When a commenter asked her if she [Chelsea Handler] would single for praise out some out-of-context statement of Adolf Hitler, she argued that Farrakhan’s hate was different because “he is just responsible for his own promotion of anti-Semitic beliefs. They are very different.”

In other words, anti-Semitism is just another opinion an otherwise laudable person might hold, not evidence of murderous hate.

Handler’s ability to survive this incident with her career intact shows that myths about Hollywood being controlled by the Jews are nonsense. It’s also likely that most Jews in the entertainment industry are either so cowed by the Black Lives Matter movement that they wouldn’t dare to act against her or actually agree that anti-Semitism shouldn’t disqualify Farrakhan from being considered a respected voice. But the pass for anti-Semitism doesn’t just exist in the arts.

The practice of shaming, shunning and silencing those with unpopular or even offensive views is antithetical to democracy and the free exchange of ideas. That is especially true when it involves actions or statements that are not actually racist.

At the same time, it says something truly ominous about our society and culture that questioning the BLM movement—even while avowing that, of course, black lives matter—can destroy a career, while endorsing anti-Semites and even engaging in Jew-hatred is not considered a big deal. We already know that the consequences of giving anti-Semites a pass can lead to horror. Apparently, those who pose as the supposedly enlightened guardians of our culture have either forgotten that or no longer care about it.
