The Left shows Tara Reade what happens to traitors to the cause — 21 Comments

  1. “We are investigating whether Ms. McCabe gave false testimony under oath,” Monterey County Chief Assistant District Attorney Berkley Brannon told POLITICO on Tuesday.”

Translation: “We haven’t yet found any evidence that she lied about her credentials. However, we’d like to enable the MSM to create the impression that she lied about Joe Biden.”

  2. What matters is the lesson the whole thing teaches, which is that any movement and any principle is only adhered to if it helps the cause, and the cause is the left’s gaining more power.

    True, of course.

Though once upon a time the Left did not necessarily include the Monterey District Attorney’s Office.

Times have changed. Now Chesa Boudin, son of domestic terrorists and adopted son of Weather Underground royalty, is the District Attorney of San Francisco.

  3. And did the Monterey District Attorney’s Office have a “predicate” for its investigation?

  4. Lefties are used to lying without consequence so I’m sure she’s left a trail of bullshit behind her in her life. Doesn’t change the fact that her claim about Biden has contemporaneous evidence and that JoeyFingers, even in scripted and curated format, is openly overfamiliar, arrogant, and stupidly pleased with himself.

  5. For Progressives, the evidence of a lie is preeminent. For opponents, it’s used to discredit their argument. But for proponents, it’s a qualification. Some of Kavanaugh’s ‘witness-victims’ were known to be lying out of the box, and were duly put in front of the cameras and microphones anyway, in hopes of getting in shots before their denouement. After all, a person known to be a liar can be coached into being a better one.

  6. So the Monterey County DA used someone as a “expert” in domestic violence without verifying her credentials. That seems to point to a serious failure in their office as well. Maybe even to the point of not knowing her name? How can they even make that claim without at least one concrete example?

They should at least be able to show how they decide that Reade and Alexandra McCabe are the same person.

As long as she was giving testimony that aided the DA’s cases, all was OK; now that she is trying to scuttle Biden she takes on a different persona? How about those who they allowed to be potentially damaged by her testimony?

This could get long, so I’ll stop. I have things to do.

  7. How could her alleged assault at the hands of Biden contribute to her qualifications as an expert on domestic violence? It is hard to see how it could be very relevant, whether true or false, and if true it certainly could not be sufficient as a qualification in and of itself!

So is it normal to conduct an investigation into the background of an expert witness based only on media speculation about her truthfulness in an unrelated matter?

  8. AMartel – she’s a Dem.
    Dems lie.
and expect other Dems to let them get away with it.
as long as it hurts the bad [insert target here, or any famous Rep].

Since Dems now dominate most law schools (90% or law profs?), and district attorney offices, most law enforcement at the prosecution side is Dem dominated.

Why weren’t likely false statements made by Ford investigated? Kavanaugh was confirmed … and the wimpy Dem dominated DOJ didn’t want to bother any more.

Having a Rep as the top one or two or two and a Rino doesn’t make the DOJ a “Republican” agency. Like the FDA & CDC, most gov’t is filled with ready to lie (for the boss! for Dems) boot-lickers & brown-nosers.

  9. Ray Van Dune:

Her qualifications were not based on the Biden accusations, which were probably unknown to the court. I think they were based on her academic credentials, from what I’ve seen. Perhaps also her work history? It’s unclear, but it was not the Biden stuff, as far as I can see.

This seems to be the MO of a lot of things in our “justice system” – taking people’s word because they are on oath, without doing any kind of vetting about even such simple things as name and public credentials.

It appears she graduated from law school, but maybe not from the undergraduate college as she claimed, even though that’s supposed to be a requirement for admission.

    Politico:
“Seattle University Law School confirmed that Reade, under the name Alexandra McCabe, did graduate from law school. But officials wouldn’t comment on whether she had a valid undergraduate degree, which is required under the law school’s current admission standards.”

The Law School claims privacy laws as a reason why they can’t release that information. Yeah, right; where have we heard that before?

“Defense lawyers are calling on the Monterey prosecutor’s office to subpoena Reade’s academic records and to determine whether other aspects of her credentials are credible.”

We don’t have Obama’s academic records, either, so there is no way to actually know if his credentials are credible; he used different names publicly at different times; his record as a liar is demonstrable, although it’s (sadly) not unquestionable.
Any bets on whether Reade will also qualify for Dem Privilege?

  11. Wikipedia toes the line for the Left — In case you didn’t already know that.
They are, as usual, presenting the disputed material as fact, and the disputes as problematical errata.

“Believe women”, also expressed as “Believe all women”, is an American political slogan arising out of the #MeToo movement.[1] …Monica Hesse, in The Washington Post, argues that the slogan has always been “believe women,” and that the “believe all women” variant is “a bit of grammatical gaslighting,” a straw man invented by critics so that it could be attacked.[5]”

    1. Doyle, Sady (30 November 2017). “Despite What You May Have Heard, “Believe Women” Has Never Meant “Ignore Facts””. Elle. Archived from the original on 2018-07-10. Retrieved 1 October 2018.
    5. Hesse, Monica (12 May 2020). “‘Believe Women’ was a slogan. ‘Believe All Women’ is a strawman”. The Washington Post. Retrieved 12 May 2020.

Neo went around the track on this subject already, so we don’t need to run that race again.

  12. This is what humans do. That is why the Divine Counsel became so disgusted by the fallen elohim and humans in general that somebody accidentally hit the Reset button and a Divine Flood cleansed the “bugs” out.

Now Chesa Boudin, son of domestic terrorists and adopted son of Weather Underground royalty, is the District Attorney of San Francisco.

When I call down the Divine Hammer on that district… I will be sure to single that person out, with due prejudice.

  13. If “this is what humans do” then America’s Constitution could never have been created. The Judaic 10 Commandments and the response to Jesus’ message could never have swept the world. The millions of men who gave “that last full measure of devotion” would never have occured. And had the flood been the result of a decision that “this is what humans do” then Noah wouldn’t have been spared either because he too was descended from Adam and Eve and bore the “knowledge of Good and Evil” without the ability to always and clearly discern which was which.

A far more accurate assertion would be “this is what some humans do”. Categorical exaggerations always reveal implicit bias. Free will carries with it the ability to make terrible choices as well as good ones and, given that “the road to hell is paved with good intentions” it’s quite remarkable that we’ve done as well as we have, so don’t give up on humanity yet as God is not done with us.

  14. Geoffrey Britain:

True that God is not done with us as yet. But Yammer is. I put my faith in God and his Son.

  15. A perfect God has designed an imperfect universe. He invites us to join His plan. Thus, His perfect plan requires us imperfect people. The closer I walk with Him, the more aware I am of how far I fall short.

The creators of our constitution had many members from a Calvinist background. So they were aware of how no one could be trusted, and they designed the constitution to take advantage of that flaw.

We can see with the increase in plea bargains, how the loss of jury input results in more innocent being punished. Trial by jury, one of the foundation building blocks of our civilization. It is easy to see why prosecutors and judges prefer the current warped system.

  16. The democrats have certainly takes a hard right turn. It used to be “believe the women” but now it is believe Dr. McDowell.
“To my considerable chagrin, we found that at least 60 percent of all the rape allegations were false.”
    – Dr. Charles P. McDowell, Supervisory Special Agent, U.S. Air Force, Office of Special Investigations

  17. NOTICE

    To All Men Posting Here:

Pursuant to orders from Comrade Senator Mazie Hirono (D-HI) to “The men in this country: Just Shut Up and Step Up.” You have therefore exceeded your Permitted Speech Authorization. Report to the nearest Political Reeducation Bureau office immediately. Pack only one bag.

By Order of THE GREAT LEADER
    Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Adj.

  18. Once Tara Reade is destroyed it will be a warning to any other women making accusations against Democratic politicians.

  19. Richard Saunders:

I think “THE GREAT LEADER” would prefer men to “step up” to the designated wall after turning over the required round of ammunition (.22 or 9mm) to the appointed cadre for the final re-education lesson.
