Five-year-old calls 911
I’m not sure exactly what to say about this little girl. I find her very endearing. She’s remarkably composed. She’s remarkably mature. And she’s remarkably concerned with what she wears:

Wow! That is one cool kid. I know plenty of adults who would not have done half as well in that situation.
John, you’ve nailed it!
And Neo, that’s a wonderful video and just makes my Day-after-Christmas. Thanks!
Savannah for POTUS 2050!
A perfect 911 call —
Really, though, such a great testimony of the training that kids are getting in handling emergencies. As a long-time Scouter, I see lots of stories of children and young people in a crisis just doing the right thing calmly and correctly.
Despite all the dross in our educational system and society, it’s good to see that some good things are happening anyway.
“And she’s remarkably concerned with what she wears:”
One of my nieces was very concerned with keeping her pony-tail taut. Even when she was throwing a fit, if she felt it loosening up, she’s stop the fit, grab the ends, pull it tight again, and then resume the fit.
Good kid…but that sort of emotional non-anxious presence is very probably “caught”…pretty likely how she’s seen mom & dad react to other less critical but emotionally tense circumstances.
She & family should get a trip to the White House.
