Ayanna Pressley hears voices — 7 Comments

  1. Everyone in politics seems to be channeling something or another lately.
Some even do that on their days off.
These college kids these days with their damned ouija boards and spells and twitter. I do not think any reasonable ancestor would sit for that.

Of course, lineage can be a bit sketchy from time to time.

  2. I suspect there are tons of Democrats caught between their commonsense and their hatred of Trump.

I’ve not found it hard to scratch liberals on PC stuff and they will look right then left to make sure they won’t be overheard*, then shake their heads and whisper their concerns about saying the wrong thing and getting clobbered.

Maybe Trump’s strategy will be to bring the fire down on the Squad and its supporters until a month before the election, then become the Great Unifier to catch some of those folks. Might work.

    *That’s the setup to a meta-racist-joke:

How do all racist jokes start?

First, the person telling the joke looks right, then left.

  3. It says a lot about Democrats today that this kind of outrageous racially-based profiling doesn’t draw much comment. It’s normal for them. No one is surprised.

Kate: I take your point but would add that many “normal” Democrats are as afraid as conservatives to speak out against this rampant reverse-bigotry.

  5. … or a “queer voice” (I assume we also might have feminist voices and transgender voices, but no other voices allowed)?

In leftist cultural Marxist jargon, ‘queer’ doesn’t mean ‘homosexual’, it means *anything* which works to devalue and destroy that which is normal with respect to sex ans sexuality.

  6. Don’t get cocky and all that, but I think Trump is looking better and better for 2020.

His tweet stuff with the Squad is working IMO. It’s like a weird flip on the story of LBJ accusing an opponent of sex with pigs. His campaign manager tells LBJ he can’t say that because it isn’t true. LBJ responds, “Of course it isn’t true. I just want to make him deny it.”

However, when it comes to Pelosi and the Squad, the punch line is, “I just want to make her admit it.”

    It’s not an exact analogy.
