RIP.
It is wonderful that your grandmother has given you so many lovely memories. She sounds like someone anyone would enjoy being with no matter her age, young or old. RIP
Neo, thanks for letting us know.
Condolences to the Vanderleun family on the loss of their mother. She seems to have been an incredibly vital woman during all of a remarkably long life.
No doubt her attitude toward living not only served her well, but can stand as a lesson for us all.
Condolences Gerard
My mother thanks you and I thank you.
When my grandma died she just refused to go. She was determined to live to 100 years old. She had already got the certificate from Bush 43 for when you turn 100.
We kept feeding her morphine. She refused to go. I still have the DVDs. She was like, “I know you lying sons of bitches.” I was playing Italian folk songs. Santa Lucia. It was her name. Tough old bird, she refused to go home until she met her goal. She died at 100 years plus one day.
