Why the international NY Times didn’t think twice about printing that anti-Semitic cartoon
When the international version of the NY Times decided to publish an anti-Semitic cartoon by the Portuguese cartoonist Antonio Moreira Antunes, it was just following a long-established European post-WWII tradition. Antunes has been in the anti-Semitic image business for decades, and won an award in 1983 for his appropriation of a Warsaw ghetto photo, changing the victim of Nazis into a Palestinian victim of Israeli Jews. For this, Antunes received the top prize at the 20th International Salon of Cartoons in Montreal.
Note that word “international.” The international community, of which western Europe is a big part, has not only been exhibiting this sort of anti-Semitism for a long while (even post-WWII, I mean) but rewarding it.
Note that Antonio Antunes Moreira (from NYT antisemitic cartoon fame) was responsible for this cartoon in 1983 comparing #Israeli treatment of #Palestinians to the Nazis' treatment of Jews – by evoking the iconic Warsaw Ghetto photo

So that’s the identity and history of the cartoonist who drew the more recent cartoon with Trump as blind Jew being led by the dachshund Jew Netanyahu. So far, though, the Times hasn’t seen fit to name the person or persons who decided to publish the Trump/Netanyahu cartoon in their paper. But my guess is that this person or people who made the call is/are European as well (or, if American, at least have lived a long time in Europe or abroad). To Europeans, that cartoon would be ho-hum, just business as usual—or maybe even worthy of a prize or two.
I don’t even think many Europeans would see the recent Trump/Netanyahu cartoon as anti-Semitic. After all, it’s just conveying ideas that are very standard there. Trump is a blind man—and that’s one of the nicer things they might say about him. Netanyahu is an ugly little weiner dog, very low to the ground (I happen to love dachshunds, but I can’t say I’d be all that attracted to a person who looked like one). The Star of David on the collar around Netanyahu’s neck is a religious symbol but they’d say it is also on the flag of Israel, and they’d be correct about that. And of course, everybody knows that those conniving Jews are leading the stupid blind Trump around and telling him what to do, rather than that there would be any independent reason to support the nefarious state of Israel.
Oh, and the kippah (in Yiddish, yarmulke) on the top of Trump’s head? That’s—well, that’s the only thing that keeps the Times from successfully claiming this is just the usual anti-Zionist cartoon rather than an anti-Jewish one, because the kippah is both gratuitous in the picture and religious. So if they’re trying to claim that the kippah’s about Zionism they haven’t got a leg to stand on.
But none of the anti-Semitism obvious in the cartoon would be likely to register with a European at this point—or even an American leftist. They have lost the ability to see what the cartoon looks like to others, because they are so used to what’s being expressed there.
It’s not as though any of this is new in Europe, although it may be somewhat new for the NY Times to publish this sort of thing. Prior to doing the research for this post, I had never heard of Antunes’ reworking of the Warsaw ghetto image. But for me, that blind-Trump/dachshund-Netanyahu cartoon had already conjured up the memory of another cartoon, one that had appeared in 2003 in the British newspaper The Independent and was drawn by the British political cartoonist Dave Brown. That one I remembered quite well.
It was early in 2003, during the Second Intifada, when Palestinians had been deliberately targeting and blowing up Israelis civilians (including Israeli children) at a rapid clip for three years. The wall had been started but was far from completion at the time the cartoon was published (January of 2003). One would think that if anyone was going to be depicted as deliberate and ghoulish child killers it would be the Palestinians, who not only supported suicide bombers who murdered children but who purposely used their own children as sacrifices, putting them in harm’s way (see also this) to make it more likely that defensive retaliatory measures by the Israelis would result in the inadvertent death of Palestinian children.
But ghoulish Palestinians wasn’t the image Brown was after (and here the reference is to the famous Goya work “Saturn Devouring His Son“):
See? He’s naked, except for that little Likud rosette instead of a fig leaf. Not a kippah or a Jewish star in sight. So that makes the blood libel perfectly okay.
The cartoon was so highly thought of that it was awarded the 2003 first prize by the British Political Cartoon Society. In his acceptance speech, “Brown thanked the Israeli Embassy for its angry reaction to the cartoon, which he said had contributed greatly to its publicity.”
If you think about it, it’s a wonder that the international NY Times took so long to get with the program.
http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/262432
“The Times featured a cartoon showing Netanyahu descending a mountain with a selfie-stick in one hand and a stone tablet with a Star of David in the other hand in its international edition. “
New York Times toilet paper is harsh and abrasive and can lead to both proctological as well as psychological maladies with dire and long lasting consequences.
Nevertheless, highly superior human beings (not vulnerable to the incorrect thoughts that ordinary schlemiels foolishly think) continue to use NYT as their bathroom tissue of choice.
The New York Times has blamed the publication of this cartoon on a single editor downloading it from a syndicate. What they don’t point out is that the syndicate is their own news service. (According to Wikipedia: “CartoonArts International is a cartooning newspaper syndication service based in the United States, distributed by The New York Times Syndicate.”)
In other words, the Times doesn’t just publish this type of material for international readers and hope they don’t get caught. They also routinely sell it to other publications — presumably ones with even less oversight or distaste for antisemitism than the Times itself has.
International NY Times making the pogrom an international feature, that’s their program.
Europeans have never had any trouble hating Jews.
Ken:
Almost as popular there as soccer.
One can only wonder how much longer it will take for the ivy league, once again, to prohibit Jews from matriculating.
And all this from a paper once owned by and currently run by a Jew. Must be a lot of self-loathing there, and as I get older, I find that generally anyone, who is self-loathing most often should be.
But none of the anti-Semitism obvious in the cartoon would be likely to register with a European at this point—or even an American leftist. They have lost the ability to see what the cartoon looks like to others, because they are so used to what’s being expressed there.
i don’t think that is it..
No one wants to care for people who do not care for them!
Hiliel the elder said, the whole of the torah could be summed up by:
Do unto others what you would have done to you
well, by erasing, and using their priveleged position in politics, press, arts and more
they gave no european a reason to remember they were victims too
in fact, they gave them plenty of reason to NOT tell the story
why?
why tell your children a story that would make them upset and see the ungrateful
My son doesnt know the history, we could not tell him our people died next to the jews
but are erased by them, you wont see them say anything… but want everyone to remember THEM
they erase others who shared the experience (go to a jewish ceremony like this weekend and note that as they celebrate the survival of the last of the holocaust… they mention NOTHING as to others.. and there are others that were in the holocauyst that were not jewish, and still alive… but they are erased)
while they talk, as in you sentence of they have lost the ability to see
well the jewish people never had ability to see how some of their choices as people make their bed
and this is one of them
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burning_of_the_Riga_synagogues
they loaded jews into the synagogues, and set them on fire…
but this was AFTER The russians… and before their return..
Thirty-five days after the Riga ghetto was established, 24,000 of its inhabitants were force marched out of the city and shot at the nearby forest of Rumbula
But what of the others who shared their fate? women like ann franke? Ruta U? etc?
how many were jewish and escaped, forgetting their jewish past and having erased connections?
-=-=-
Several hundred Jews in the Riga ghetto organized resistance activities against the Germans. Small groups sought to escape from the ghetto and join partisans in the surrounding forests.
oh. so the forest brothers, who saved them are not remembered!!!
and its hard too…as the russians are helping erase the history, and mkaing the people who helped, into nazis that murdered them!!
but… since they erased the heroes. the forest people, the history..
what do the children think of saving them again gven the history?
Father: oh, well, your grandfather died saving them… saving others…
Son: that never happened… the schools say otherwise, the celebrations dont remember them either
Father: thats cause the jews erased our help, our history
ok. try it again
Father: oh, well, your grandfather died saving them… saving others…
Son: that never happened… the schools say otherwise, the celebrations dont remember them either
Father: i cant tell you why they dont rememer us or care given what happened later
ok. try it again
Father: oh, well, your grandfather died saving them… saving others…
Son: that never happened… the schools say otherwise, the celebrations dont remember them either
Father: what grade did you get?
and now, who cares? they arent the only peoples to lose!
there are only 2 million latvians in all the world….. there are over 8 million jews in the US
we are now more concerned with saving a smaller population than helping people who forgot us..
but but you think the war was over in 1945?
we continued to fight for freedom… till 1995
where were they?
J?nis P?nups: a Latvian Soldier for Whom the Second World War Finished in 1995
Armia Krajowa: 75 years ago was founded the largest resistance movement of the WW2
The Red Flag Was Not the Only One in Berlin in 1945: What the Soviet Propaganda Concealed
the USSR directed its propaganda against Latvia and began to try to destabilize the small republic using the Latvian communists. On June 15, 1940 Stalin left theaters and invaded Lithuania. The next day he did the same with Estonia and Latvia,
the new parliament, dominated by that single party, voted to annex Latvia to the USSR on July 21, 1940. Between the invasion and subsequent deportations and executions, the communists killed almost 300,000 people in a country that did not arrive To 2 million inhabitants.
By the end of World War II, in 1945, the Jewish population of Europe had shrunk to 3.8 million, or 35% of the world’s 11 million Jews
15% of latvians were doomed.. and that was the first of FOUR events
the next were the germans
the next after that were the russians
the next after that, betrayed at yalta
and forgotten
The Soviet repression had been so brutal that the Latvians saw the German soldiers as liberators.
However, the liberators were not such: Latvia went from one dictatorship (communist) to another (the nazi). The Germans began a campaign of mass extermination of Latvian Jews and Gypsies and threatened anyone who rebelled against the Third Reich by executing or sending them to a concentration camp. As with the USSR, thousands of Latvians (more than 200,000) were forced to join the German Army. In addition, more than 87,000 Latvian volunteers joined the Latviešu Le?ions (Latvian Legion) of the Waffen SS, consisting of two divisions of grenadiers.
so we lost another 15% or so… by loosing our people who were jewish..
by losing the people who were conscripted… with stalin murdering 100k of them
but.. wait.. more to come
The Germans were cruel and implacable in their reprisals: they destroyed 99 villages, deported 6,000 villagers and executed 3,600 only at the beginning of 1943. After the arrival of the Red Army to Latvia in August 1944 the Latvian resistance, this time against the Soviets, became even more intense.
in May 1945, about 4,000 members of the Latvian Legion went into the country’s forests to move on to the guerrilla struggle against the Soviet occupation. Latvian anti-Soviet resistance came to count on about 10,000 combatants, receiving the support of a network formed by 40,000 people.

….at age 19 he was forcibly enlisted in the Red Army on August 26, 1944. He was given a brief military training in Aiviekste, Latvia, and was sent to the front in September, ordering his companions and him to attack the German tanks with no more weapons than their rifles.
My old last name, was Aiviekste…

The last ‘Forest Brother’ 50 years after the end of the war
J?nis was convinced that the communists would disappear from Latvia. He did not believe in Soviet power and he was convinced that Latvia would be free again. So it was. With the fall of communism, Latvia declared its independence on May 4, 1990. The USSR deployed military, police and KGB forces in Latvia. In January 1991 thousands of Latvians took to the streets and formed barricades, registering clashes with the Soviet Police. After the Moscow coup d’état in August 1991,
The last Russian military left Latvia in August 1994, and P?nups only dared to emerge nine months later, at the age of 70. He was the last “Forest Brother” of the Baltic republics.
On May 9, 1995, 50 years and 2 days after the German surrender in World War II, J?nis P?nups entered the Pel??i Police Station to inform the agents that he had been hiding for half a century. He was granted Lithuanian citizenship and went to live with his sister Veronika, because he had no family left. He was initially told that he was not right to a pension, but later his services to the Latvian nation were acknowledged. He never considered himself a hero, and always attributed to God the fact that he had survived hidden for so many years: “I go to church every Sunday,” he declared in his last years of life. Veronika died in 2004, and J?nis was left alone in his home. He died on June 15, 2007, at the age of 82.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Nevertheless, there were also Latvians who risked their lives in order to save Jews. One such, J?nis Lipke, helped to save several dozen Jews of the Riga ghetto by providing them with hideouts.
Lipke, a dock worker in the port of Riga, was determined to help save Latvian Jews from capture by the Nazis after witnessing actions against them in the streets. He retrained in order to become a contractor for the Luftwaffe, and then used his position to smuggle Jewish workers out of the Riga ghetto and camps in and around Riga, whom he concealed with the aid of his wife Johanna until the arrival of the Red Army in October 1944.[1] The Lipkes and their various helpers saved forty people in this way, one fifth of the approximately 200 Jews who survived the war in Latvia.
When he died in 1987, the Jews of Riga arranged his funeral, and he is honoured as one of the Righteous among the Nations.

the Righteous is only for those who are known..

but as hilliel said..
and i guess that is what the world IS doing… isnt it?

Yes. A great deal of “progressive” behavior is explained by their desire to emulate the superior (as they view it) Europeans. I suspect this syndrome goes back to the American Revolutionary era.
Artfldgr:
You blame the Jews for talking about the Holocaust, and what happened to the Jews?
No one is stopping the Latvians—or the Poles, for that matter, who also suffered greatly during WWII—from talking about the horrors that happened to them at the hands of the Nazis. In fact, on this blog you have gone into the horrific things that happened to the Latvians at the hands of the Nazis before.
It is offensive to blame the Jews for the fact that people know much less about the Latvians, although you have done that before, too. I have never seen a single Jew say “we are the only ones who suffered; no one else is allowed to talk about their suffering.” That would be absurd. But in fact the attempt was to wipe the Jews out, and it almost succeeded in terms of European Jews, and was overwhelmingly cruel.
I have also written about the fact that the Nazis wanted to ultimately wipe out other groups as well. Not just the Jews and gypsies, although they were first—but many of the Slavic peoples. I don’t have time now to look for where I wrote it, but the information is here:
The Nazis had plenty of evil to go around. The Jews, however, were targeted more completely during the war; the plans for the other groups were only partially carried out, which was bad enough. Evil is evil, and the Nazis executed evil against many many many groups. It’s not a competition. Nor is it the Jews’ fault that they were targeted in a more complete way, and that they talk about it.
You’ll note: Portugal and Britain.
And all this from a paper once owned by and currently run by a Jew. M
Rubbish. Adolph Ochs was a Jew. There has been enough intermarriage in that family in the last 90 years that the term is misleading applied to his great-great-grandson. (Same deal with the Meyer clan who owned the WaPoo from 1933 to 2016).
i don’t think that is it..
No one gets paid to listen to you. Why not aspire to keep your contributions to 200 words, properly formatted into sentences and paragraphs?
anti-Zionist cartoon rather than an anti-Jewish one,
Except among the Haredi, the distinction between these two stances is notional.
Q: why do you publish offensive cartoons about Jews and Christians, but not about Muslims?
NYT: because all they do is kvetch about it.
“none of the anti-Semitism obvious in the cartoon would be likely to register with a European at this point—or even an American leftist. They have lost the ability to see what the cartoon looks like to others, because they are so used to what’s being expressed there.” neo
Combine the above with the fact that in their 2017 Presidential election Macron garnered 66.1% of the French votes.

https://babylonbee.com/news/new-york-times-apologizes-for-cartoon-that-offended-passover-worshipers
“The paper also committed to hiring consultants from among the “tiny hat guys” who could tell them if they were publishing a cartoon that looks like it could have been published in Germany in the 1930s. “The people with the funny 8-candle thing will help us to better understand anti-semitism and what, if any, bad effects it’s had in the past.
The very next day, over 27 racist cartoons were published, forcing dozens more pseudo-apologies, apology retractions, and subsequent more sincere apologies to offended Passover worshipers.”
A huge number of Europeans, including in Slovakia, remain anti-Jewish and believe in some form of excessive Jewish influence/ control of world affairs, especially thru banks. Many Jews are smart enough to follow the money and make money in smart ways.
The Jews note and push for remembering the 6 million Jews being murdered by the Nazis; the number I’ve long heard and believed about the death camps was those 6 of a total of 10 million murdered. But that number seems far more fuzzy, deniable, with less evidence of being killed in death camps as compared to shot in the forest or on the edge of mass graves or before getting on a train or just another fighting death.
The growing anti-Semitism is also part of the growth of socialist envy, envy against those whose talents plus behavior are making them more successful than others. For hundreds of years, the Jews have been smarter and more successful, by small or large amounts, than their neighbors.
America since WW II has been far closer to the MLK dream of judging people on their character, including Jews, than most other Euro or other countries. This has allowed many Jews to become wildly successful, a disproportionate number. There is even a feeling that it’s an unfair number. Perhaps it’s not yet been named “social injustice”, yet the SJWs oppose excess success.
Now Dems want to change this merit path to success, and stop judging people by their character, but instead by some tribal identity.
Many of these Dems pushing such terrible ideas have received huge amounts of donated money … from Jews. High IQ Jews were also stupid enough to think, with Zionism, that socialism could work – Israel started out as a Jewish-socialist idea. It’s deeply ironic, and sad, that so much emotional support for socialism, so often supported intellectually by Jews, comes from envy, yet that same envy also drives the hatred of the excessively successful Jews.
Tom Grey:
I don’t know where you get those figures (6 million in camps and 10 million overall) but they do not conform at all to anything I’ve ever heard claimed. The basic figure of 6 million is total, and not all in camps.
If you want to see the figures, go here.
Also, a great many people committed suicide even before being rounded up and they are not counted as far as I know.
That vile cartoon about Sharon was first cleared of charges of anti-Semitism by the UK’s press watchdog group, and then it went on to win that prize.
What’s with that “particularly”? https://www.theguardian.com/media/2003/may/22/theindependent.pressandpublishing
Art Deco said, above, in response to T, that the current NYT leadership is not Jewish. I find he is correct. Wikipedia says the current chairman of the NYT Co., Arthur Ochs Sulzberger Jr., is the son of a woman of English and Scottish origin, and is therefore not Jewish. He was raised Episcopalian. (This is like left-wing activist Tom Steyer, who is also Episcopalian and not of Jewish maternal ancestry.) The largest shareholder, Carlos Slim, is a Mexican of Maronite Catholic ancestry.
Ancestry does not explain the NYT’s disgusting behavior. Leftism does.

They can’t attack Moslems. Can’t even mock them. (Besides, they’re victims. Always. Of somebody, some time, somewhere. And one doesn’t want to make them, um, angry. Ornery. Jittery. NOSSIRRREEE. Since they just might….)
And since “cartoon” = “mock”, they can’t even draw cartoons about ’em. (Or barely.)
Gotta be able to slime somebody. A little slander. A little character assassination. A little blood libel. All in good fun…. Ha ha!
So that leaves us with….
Let’s see. Hindus are a bit esoteric. Buddhists—well, everyone just loves Buddhists. Scientologists? Too easy.
But Jews—ah Jews—they fit the bill very nicely. Israelis are even better. And, of course, Christians, too. Wouldn’t want to forget Christians.

Artfldgr: Get your own blog. Really.
Neo, thank you for this clear-eyed analysis. It’s important for people to understand this context.
Blaming “the Jews” for preventing—for blocking—Europeans (especially Eastern Europeans) from recognizing and honoring and commemorating the truly heroic efforts of their own resistance/partisan groups to not only fight the oppressor under terrible conditions (be that oppressor Nazi? Soviet?…. This may be a bit confusing…) AND help save Jews (that is, while OTHER resistance/partisan groups of those same countries valiantly did their best in ridding their countries of Jews) is truly ingenious.
One must get the word out immediately to all the usual suspects (assuming they haven’t yet independently come up with such a glorious conception). No time should be wasted on this virtuous effort.
(Might one say that the Internet was created precisely for this purpose?….)
But wait! One also has the responsibility to demonstrate just how truly diabolically racist, how demonically twisted, “the Jews” are—if any such proof is really needed: yes, those “Jews” who ONLY consider a person who saves “Jews” as worthy of mention, of honor, of respect….

Diabolically racist….
From a NYT article yesterday:
“In New York, an epicenter of the outbreak, city officials closed two more schools for Orthodox Jewish children for failing to comply with an order to exclude unvaccinated children.”
A commenter at Ace’s site:
“Last week I noted that the ONLY disease outbreak where the Authorities jumped up to tell everyone where it came from was the measles outbreak that Orthodox Jooz brought home from the Zionist Entity.
Every other one? A mystery. No one may ever know where they came from or who spread them.
But this ONE outbreak – why we have precise knowledge of where it came from and – by extension – WHO TO BLAME FOR THE DEATHS.
Coincidence?”

Nicely explained by Barry’s exposition of the Principle of the Conservation of Sliming: if you can’t attack certain exempt groups, you have to throw all the slime at the prescribed groups.
I had the fleeting thought that this Law of Bigotry probably also applies to television and movies. Since conservatives are no longer watching network tv, particularly the comics and newscasters, and are flocking away from Hollywood’s more tendentious offerings, the producers and “talent” can freely mock conservatives (and by extension Rebublicans, observant Jews and Christians, patriots, and fly-over Americans in general) with no fear of losing audience-share, but mocking the genuinely-mockable Leftist groups would generate nasty tweetstorms & boycotts.
Of course, it helps that most of them share the ideology of the mocking-hordes, but the pursuit of lucre* & fame is also operative.
*I was going to write “It’s all about the Benjamins baby” — just a little casual mockery — but, given the recent cartoons about Benjamin “Bibi” Netanyahu, that remark of Omar’s has a certain double-entendre resonance.
“I am a strong believer in freedom of speech and the New York Times has a right to continue its biased reporting and editorializing. But despite my support for freedom of speech, I am attending a protest in front of the New York Times this afternoon to express my freedom of speech against how the New York Times has chosen to exercise its.” – Dershowitz
The last honest liberal.
“In recent years, it has become more and more difficult to distinguish between the reporting of the New York Times and their editorializing. Sometimes its editors hide behind the euphemism “news analysis,” when allowing personal opinions to be published on the front page. More recently, they haven’t even bothered to offer any cover. The reporting itself, as repeatedly demonstrated by the Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America (CAMERA), has been filled with anti-Israel errors.” – Dershowitz
There may be a reason why the Paper of Fake Record eliminated their ombudsman position and most of their fact checkers.
“Having said this, I do not support a boycott of the New York Times. Let readers decide for themselves whether they want to read its biased reporting. I, for one, will continue to read the New York Times with a critical eye, because it is important to know what disinformation readers are getting and how to challenge that disinformation in the marketplace of ideas.” – Dershowitz
To his credit, despite his differing ideology, he calls out disinformation about the Right as readily as he would about the Left — with the caveat that even The Dersh lives in a bubble, just a bigger and more transparent one.
“Finally, there is some good news. One traditional anti-Semitic trope is that “the Jews control the media.” People who peddle this nonsense often point to the New York Times, which is, in fact, published by a prominent Jewish family, the Sulzbergers. Anyone who reads the New York Times will immediately see the lie in this bigoted claim: ” – Dershowitz
The family connections and ideologies of the current NYT owners/publishers has been noted above by Kate; they are only barely, just nominally, Jewish in any meaningful sense.
However, even if “the Jews,” in the person of one family, did control “the media,” in the instance of one newspaper, they did it to the detriment of their religious community, not in support of it, as Dersh concludes:
“Yes, the New York Times has long been controlled by a Jewish family. But this Jewish family is far from being supportive of Jewish values, the nation-state of the Jewish people or Jewish sensibilities. If anything, it has used its Jewishness as an excuse to say about Jews and do to Jews what no mainstream newspaper, not owned by Jews, would ever do.”

Another corollary to the Principle of the Conservation of Sliming: if you cannot, for political or ideological reasons, name a certain group for a problem, double the blame for the group you can slime.
They are also more likely to get compliance from generally law-abiding Jews who object to one statute, than from generally lawless groups that ignore all of them.
One attack is happenstance.
Two is coincidence.
Three or more are enemy action.
We are well beyond two, when the target is a Jew.
If you think about it, it’s a wonder that the international NY Times took so long to get with the p
rogram.You misspelled “pogram”.
Fixt it fer ya…
De Nada. <—Is this 'cultural appropriation'??
Nonetheless, all facetiousness aside(!?)—i.e., while “sliming” is indeed important, it’s NOT, actually, the main issue.
The essential problem, the elemental problem (some might even say, the basic problem…the core problem?) is that no matter how you cut it, the Jewish State (AKA the Zionist Entity….AAKA “that sh**ty country”), since the heady years of Oslo, the eye-opening “second intifada”, and a whole slough of mini-wars with Hamas, as well as (if you will) the continuing slow-burn conflict with the PA, has increasingly concluded that it must refuse, absolutely refuse, adamantly refuse, categorically refuse….to “make peace” with a “partner in peace” whose goal it is to destroy said Jewish State (which destruction is, in fact—-surprise!!—the definition of “peace” for Israel’s “partner in peace”).
IOW, since Israel (i.e., the majority of Israel’s voters—though still, only a bit more than half of the electorate) has decided that it will not agree, or least not yet agree, to be destroyed by its “partners in peace”, the country must therefore be vilified by all decent, intelligent, caring and concerned people as an intransigent, anti-peace, war mongering, beyond-the-pale, colonialist, White, oppressive, Nazi—ZIONIST—apartheid state.
As such, Israel must be “helped” by all those decent, intelligent, caring and concerned folks to see the light, to change its mind, to alter its direction—to make “peace” with its “partners in peace”…so that peace can break out throughout the region and throughout the world.
And to “help” Israel see the light, all the decent, intelligent, caring and concerned people have the DUTY—the RESPONSIBILITY—to hold Israel’s feet to the fire (via tendentious articles, boycotts, attacks, slanders, defamations, blood libels—all, of course, for the right reasons, for the best of reasons, for purely moral reasons) until Israel is prepared to make “peace” (with its “partner in peace”, for whom “peace” means Israel’s disappearance…but I repeat myself).
Thus, the KEY is to believe, truly and absolutely, that Israel’s “partners in peace” genuinely wish to live alongside Israel in “peace” (as the word is understood in the West).
IOW, the KEY is to persuade oneself—i.e., to thoroughly delude oneself to believe—that Israel’s “partners in peace” do NOT wish to destroy Israel. Absolutely not.
Once all the decent, intelligent caring and concerned people are able to believe THAT—and it’s incredibly easy to do, quite obviously!!—then the State of Israel will be—must be—held entirely responsible (or almost entirely responsible) for the absence of “peace”, for the fact that “peace” is “elusive”, for the plaintive warning that “peace” is dying….or that the “window of peace” is fast closing.
And everything done to counter the State of Israel is legitimate. Is necessary. Is ethical. Is the epitome of morality.
And so everything goes…until “peace” (AKA Israel’s destruction) is achieved.
(All this, of course, gives the Palestinians every incentive to continue what is essentially a war of attrition…until Israel disappears—not that they need any incentives. But since all the above is most certainly not part of “the narrative” then one can basically ignore it…while labeling anyone who does believe such absolute “nonsense” a war-monger, zio-nazi, fantasist, racist, fascist, etc.)
Remember: the KEY is to deny that the goal of Oslo (as all else before Oslo) is Israel’s destruction. After that, anything is possible…and everything is permissible.
And it looks like, it looks like….yes, it looks like…YET MORE APOLOGIES!! from the “paper of record”! (More like “broken record”…)
Ah, dose wascally weasels!

Most Muslims, and many other people, have not, and will not, ever recover from the shock of seeing Jews who will not submit or die, as they are supposed to. Too bad!
Why do people still quote the New York Times… Americans disbelieve fake news except the 85% of the time that they believe in MSM fake news?
