Greg Craig and process crimes
I happen to agree with this:
My position is, if DOJ/FBI cannot manage to successfully prosecute Mr Craig on a primary crime, then they should leave him the hell alone. None of this “Obstruction” or “Lying to the FBI”—unless it’s an enhancer and specifically to the aforementioned primary crime that they are also prosecuting him on.
However, I also believe that if those on the right are prosecuted for mere process crimes, those on the left should be, too. At the moment, that’s the situation. However, I would advocate strongly that neither side be prosecuted for those things.
I also believe that the FBI should have to record its interviews. There’s no reason to rely on their word anymore, if in fact there ever was such a reason. In case anyone is unfamiliar with FBI procedure, familiarize yourself with the 302:
A FD-302 form is used by FBI agents to “report or summarize the interviews that they conduct” and contains information from the notes taken during the interview by the non-primary[further explanation needed] agent…
The use of the FD-302 has been criticized as a form of institutionalized perjury due to FBI guidelines that prohibit recordings of interviews. Prominent defense lawyers and former FBI agents have stated that they believe that the method of interviewing by the FBI is designed to expose interviewees to potential perjury or false statement criminal charges when the interviewee is deposed in a grand jury and has to contradict the official record presented by the FBI. They have also stated that perjury by FBI agents allows the FBI to use the leverage of a potential criminal charge to turn an innocent witness into an informant.
The potential for abuse is enormous.
Yeah, this ship has sailed.
The high road leads no where anymore if it ever led anywhere.
Let’s trade. Trump pardons Flynn and Papadopoulos for the process crimes, and Craig’s indictment is quashed, and the FBI stops doing this to anyone. Oh, and Flynn and Papadopoulos get reimbursed for legal expenses.
I only learned about the FD-302 form a few weeks ago. I’m outraged. That’s secret police stuff.
Tit for tat. Squeeze Craig hard to catch a bigger fish. Then squeeze that fish and progress up the food chain. Sometimes unsavory deeds are needed to keep a republic.
It’s outrageous, and has been an outrage for a couple of years.
I want indictments of all the deep state criminals — even if that means 90, 99, or even 100 of the “top 100” folk at the FBI & DOJ.
All the methods used by Mueller should be used on all the deep staters; but probably won’t be. Let Dems call for a more fair process, after years of Fake News & lies.
This might include impeachment of the judge (s?) who signed off on the FISA warrant, without better evidence. The judge’s job is to judge the FBI application, not to rubber stamp it.
Certainly a 4am SWAT raid on Comey AND a full examination of all the electronic devices in his office, and that of his lawyer(s) seems like a reasonable step.
“…Flynn and Papadopoulos…”
OK, but Mueller—and his Stalinist thugs—destroyed far more people, and their families, than just those two, in their despicable, malevolent “investigation”.
How can those lives and reputations ever be restored?
What kind of justice are those people going to get? (And I hope this is not a rhetorical question….)
I want indictments of all the deep state criminals — even if that means 90, 99, or even 100 of the “top 100” folk at the FBI & DOJ.
That is not even 1% of the Deep State. There are powers at work beyond your ken, Mortal Grey.
You have linked to this before.

Oh dear. Thanks a lot for the link, Ray. I’m afraid it confirms what we already sort of know, but the additional detail is interesting and scary. I echo Lenin:

As a self proclaimed hippie, you of all people should have known over the decades of past that the FBI were infiltrating and cooking up your fellow hippies with all kinds of self destructive ideas and behaviors.
That they got away with this for this long, along with the CIA, is probably a testament to the effectiveness of WEED in conditioning the livestock to sleep during the harvest.
