Netanyahu’s Iranian files — 56 Comments

  1. Team Obama wanted the accolades (as did the rest of the P5+1) for reining in Iran. They had to know the Iranian regime is completely untrustworthy, but hey, lets send them pallets of greenbacks and start doing business with them. But thank goodness, medical insurance is $2500/year cheaper and if we like our policies and doctors we can keep them. The mannish boy sure has the Midas touch.

  2. I’ve just been reading Ronen Bergman’s book about the Mossad and targeted assassinations.

  3. And also (H/T Don Surber):

“Given how catastrophically (read: awesomely) Iran’s nuclear program seems to have been compromised by Israeli intelligence, Tehran has to be wondering/panicking about what *else* Israel has,” Guy Benson tweeted.

IMO there is much more to the story than just Iran’s nuclear program. Saudi Arabia must be deleriousy happy with Israel and Mossad revealing this. Trump’s flight directly to Tel Aviv from Saudi Arabia, the Saudi announcement that the Palestinians should have accepted some of the American sponsored conditions for peace, the general loosening of sharia in Saudi Arabia itself, the reduction of OPEC influence in the world market and now this all point to the possibility (likelihood?) that were are watching the beginning of a major realignment in the Middle East.

Add to this the beginnings of discussions with North Korea, and we may be looking at a particularly historic moment in world history as brokered by the U.S. under Donald Trump.

While I believe that it is still too early to tell by the game we see being played above the table (H/T Henry Kissinger) the game being played under the table seems to be particularly noteworthy.

  4. Why should anyone believe anything said or claimed by the Iranians?

Why should anyone believe anything said or claimed by anyone in the Obama administration?

Why should anyone believe anything said or claimed by the MSM (who have been faithfully and sedulously running interference for both of the above)?

Folks, this is not rocket science.

All of the above have had years and years to show off their “bona fides” and demonstrate their “skills”.

  5. Anyone knowledgeable about the ‘deal’ with the Iranians KNOWS there is absolutely NO way to verify that the Mullahs are in compliance with the deal. Anyone who gives them even the slightest bit of the doubt is either an utter fool or a monstrous knave.

Religious fanatics do NOT change their spots.

  6. Their intense missile program is only consistent with atomic warheads.

The idea that Iran ONLY wants a handful of atomic warheads — heh.

Iran has been funding North Korea’s atomic program.

And Iran has even used Syria as a cut-out for atomic production.

Tehran has always used cut-outs for its antics.

If Iran’s oil is taken off the market, it will matter very little, Russia, USA and KSA will all step up production.

  7. Though having said all this stuff about lying, the point is that nobody cares if the Iranians, Obama and the Media are is lying, was lying, and will lie ad nauseum.

    No one.

People are fooling themselves—especially Bibi—if they really believe that any of this matters to the usual suspects.

Fact is that they despise Bibi much more than the Mullahs, don’t listen to him in any event, and just wish he would shut up and go away.

(Which is exactly how they feel about Trump.)

True, they might have to respond to these latest revelations; but they will say, or piously incant, that the revelations are “irrelevant”, that they’re “nothing new”, that Bibi is preventing any Iranian ability to be flexible(!) and that Israel is planning for war.

That’s how this crowd operates. They’ve all internalized Politburo propaganda.

And the best part: They’re doing this for everyone’s good (especially Israel’s). For the good of the world. For the sake of peace.

Can’t make this stuff up…. (as they say)…

  8. “Iran has been funding North Korea’s atomic program.”

Shouldn’t that be, “The Obama administration has been funding North Korea’s atomic program.”?

(And a whole lot else, besides.)

Back in the day, a lot of people would wonder, “If Barack Obama were in fact an Iranian agent, what would he be doing differently?”

Bibi is too much of a diplomat to say it, but it wasn’t just Iran that lied. The Left continues spinning like a dreidl.

Israel has Mossad, and we have Mueller & Company.
    Doesn’t seem fair somehow.

    https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/from-tehran-to-tel-aviv-a-half-ton-nuclear-delivery-courtesy-of-the-mossad

“”The Mossad is brilliantly, wonderfully, diabolically clever,” former CIA Director David Petraeus once said.

Whatever it means for the Iran nuclear agreement’s future, Israel’s recent seizure of “half a ton” of covert Iranian nuclear weapons research is a huge intelligence success.”

  10. Confluence of events in the ME already remarked upon by others, but the number of ground-breaking developments is totally destroying my New Year’s Resolution to spend less time reading the news.

I suspect Israel did NOT warn any other nations this was coming, and probably wouldn’t have given anything to Obama’s administration to verify.

    https://www.timesofisrael.com/iran-lied-netanyahu-drops-a-mossad-bombshell-on-the-iranian-nuclear-deal/

“Watching the prime minister’s presentation in a TV studio, the former head of Military Intelligence in the Israeli army, Amos Yadlin, called the material “conclusive proof” of Tehran’s duplicity – vindication of Israel’s consistent claim that Iran had a nuclear weapons program, continued to work on it in recent years, and duped the world about it. The captured archive material contains “no smoking gun since 2015,” Yadlin observed, because that most recent material presumably hasn’t been archived yet. However, since Iran now demonstrably lied to the world until 2015, Yadlin added dryly, “it has presumably continued to lie since then as well.”

Netanyahu said he had already shared the material with the United States, and that the US could vouch for its authenticity. He said he would also share it with other countries and the International Atomic Energy Agency. ”

    Next week in Jerusalem!
(Well, May 14 actually, but the idea’s the thing.)
And Trump the Builder is still cutting better deals, as promised.

    https://www.timesofisrael.com/israel-completely-surprised-to-hear-trump-may-attend-jerusalem-embassy-opening/

“Trump’s new Secretary of State Mike Pompeo arrived in Saudi Arabia on Saturday, kicking off the Middle East leg of his first trip abroad as America’s top diplomat. Pompeo will be continuing to Israel and Jordan. He heads home later this week, but it has been reported he may return for the embassy opening two weeks later.

The president also said on Friday that he had been prepared to sign his approval for a $1 billion embassy construction project in Jerusalem. But he added that he stopped short mid-signature – after jotting “Donald” but before “Trump” – when he realized the cost was too high. He said he instinctively knew the embassy could be opened instead for a mere $300,000-$400,000, through a makeover of part of an existing US installation.”

In January, Trump announced that the process would be expedited and a new facility would open in May, to coincide with Israel’s 70th anniversary.”

  11. Understatement of the day, and stating the obvious.

    http://freebeacon.com/national-security/u-s-confirms-authenticity-secret-iran-nuclear-docs-officials-see-game-deal/

“Prime Minister Netanyahu gave a powerful presentation today of compelling new evidence documenting Iran’s determined pursuit of a nuclear weapon,” the senior official said. “It certainly would have been helpful to have this information when the JCPOA [Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action] was negotiated but the Iranians decided to lock it away in a secret vault for future reference.”
    ..
A senior congressional official who has worked closely with the White House on the Iran issue told the Free Beacon the news has sent shockwaves through Capitol Hill.

Everything the Obama administration told us about the Iranian nuclear program was a lie,” said the source, who was not authorized to speak on record. “They assured us that we knew everything about Iran’s nuclear weapons program, that it was put on ice, and that the intelligence community had full insight into what was going on.”

“Now we find out the Iranians have warehouses of nuclear weapons designs. People are in shock,” the source said. “Forget the policy implications, which get to the heart of the deal, this shows how the whole sale was built on a lie. Expect to see momentum build in Congress for just scrapping the whole thing.”

Everything Obama ever said is a lie, including “and” and “the.”

  12. Over/under before the NYT et al. declare all of the “evidence” and Israeli forgery?

  13. “Ben Rhodes – I’m shocked!” well no he didn’t say that. But Susan Rice, Samantha Power, John Brennan, and James Clapper, and John F Kerry may be “shocked” too. Valerie Jarred, not so much. Mostly I would guess they are thinking “those damned Israelis!!!”

  14. “…a huge intelligence success…”

Ah but what happens if a tree falls in the forest and no one WANTS to hear it (or see it)?

    (Because the narrative, you know….)

  15. The foundation for a revaluation of the “deal” made with Iran based on false premises. A bad deal.

This reminds of immigration reform that is a cover-up for the collateral damage from social justice adventures, shithole conditions in second and third-world nations, and Planned Parenthood and other human rights violations.

  16. Religious fanatics do NOT change their spots.

Neither do secular (e.g. wealth, pleasure, leisure, narcissism, control) fanatics. Principles matter.

  17. I believe that the ayatollas have a weekly hate fest after Friday afternoon prayers where they chant Death to America, Death to Israel to the assembled crowds. They are definitely people that you should trust and put your faith in.

    Took less than a day.

Read Dyer’s analysis, and then the commenter quoting the London Times. Or better, do it in reverse, to understand the utter failure of Ms. Philip’s contentions.

    https://libertyunyielding.com/2018/05/01/new-israeli-intel-timely-reminder-iran-jcpoa-ignored-evidence-meaningless-even-enforced/

“Catherine Philip, the diplomatic correspondent of the right-leaning London Times provides an informed and considered commentary on Netanyahu’s latest bit of theatre. In today’s Times she says, scathingly, “What Mr Netanyahu failed to demonstrate was that the 2015 deal had not worked, or even that Iran had done anything to violate it”. The devasting point being that if the Israeli prime minister had found even the slightest breach of the JCPOA he would have been jumping up and down highlighting it with glee. …(Does anyone think for one moment that Israel exclusively devoted all these intelligence resources to burglarising the stale material Netanyahu managed to produce yesterday?). Israel has well established “form” for producing fake intelligence.

  20. I remember when they were going through the Kabuki dance of ‘negotiating’ this thing. Day after day, Obama yielded one point after another, until they had yielded on every point (which was the intent at the start).

Then they turned to ‘selling’ it, with the active cooperation of the GOP leadership, particularly Corker. American and Western businesses thought they were going to get a big chunk of the money that would supposedly be flowing, so they put pressure on the GOP to help it along while pretending to do the opposite.

(Turned out they got less money than they thought they would, the Iranians turned to other suppliers. Big shock.)

Schumer pretended to flirt with not supporting it, because he has a large Jewish constituency in his State, too.

But it was all mostly a song-and-dance, because the Establishment was mostly on board from the get go.

  21. “distrust but verify” – seriously? That doesn’t even make sense.

What also never made sense was how the Obama team shut down anything that showed Iran to be a dishonest broker, such as Project Cassandra (https://preview.tinyurl.com/ydbzwo23), and never discussing the US citizens jailed in Iran. In addition, they launched a campaign to discredit those who did not trust Iran or the deal via Ben Rhodes’ infamous ‘media echo chamber’ and got celebrities to create a propaganda video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I01Jx7k0lTw). And then there were the shenanigans with Uranium One, which gave Russia untraceable uranium, and the billions in cash and gold sent to Iran.

God bless Bibi for making such a public spectacle of his country’s intel in order to help kill this crazy “deal.”

  22. It sounds like it was “we don’t trust the Iranians, but since Islamic Jihad is our ally we must pretend to have verified the deal with the international community. Otherwise the Americans might lynch us”.

“Everything the Obama administration told us about the Iranian nuclear program was a lie,”

I am surprised people in the USA still walking around as if they were zombies, that still believe Hussein said anything that was true.

Maybe he wasn’t actually golfing but smoking weed with his black SS.

  23. While watching and reading atheist vs Other/Theist debates, I get the inference and insight that people don’t like to believe in Authorities. They wouldn’t want to believe in politicians either, but they just assume everybody, including the Bible authors, were corrupt.

The funny thing is, they are half right. And the New Age of Aquarius atheists that they believe in, like Dawkins, aren’t much better than the corrupt politicians, religious leaders, and so on. All are human and have erred. This is not due to Adam/Eve in Original Sin. It’s due to a whole bunch of other things nobody ever bothered to learn.

Humans deceive themselves most of all, as well as deceiving others in the world. The world has deceived us and we deceive others as a result. The reason why the Spirit of Truth is called the “holy” Ghost is because there are definitely neutral and UNHoly spirits out there…

  24. Obama certainly was a brazen guy, very openly helping his Muslim co-religionists in all sorts of ways and in all sorts of situations and venues, and daring anyone to call him on it.

But then, again, he had the very best of help, the studiously incurious MSM shielding him, and cheering him on.

You will be reviled and called a buck-toothed idiot and a bigot by the Left and by the “smart set’ for saying so, but Obama was–very clearly from his childhood education, associations, actions, and statements–a crypto–and sometimes not so crypto–Muslim, and this deal is one of the chief pieces of evidence for that conclusion.

Present the main elements of the Iran deal to anyone with half a brain, and they’d say it was–on it’s face–clearly insane.

Why, in any sane world, would we give an enemy like Iran–the chief sponsor of Muslim terrorism around the world, a regime which regularly says how it’s trying it’s best to kill us all–access to billions of dollars that it can use to accomplish it’s goal of our destruction, and it’s domination of the Middle East, and beyond?

There is a lot of blame to go around for this deal going through, and the MSM shares a major portion of it for, without their studied reluctance to delve into the details and their implications, without their cheerleading for this deal, this idea would have been seen for the disastrous deal it was, and would not have flown.

Here is a patently insane deal, that featured a payment of billions of dollars to our chief enemy in return for vague, essentially unverifiable promises–$400 million of that money in cash, a huge pallet of cash delivered, under cover of darkness, and conveniently divided into several different currencies for easier distribution–and the MSM didn’t shower this deal–particularly the $400 million cash payment part of this deal–with a rain of skepticism and derision, skewered those who proposed and carried it out with a thousand pointed questions, but cheered it on?

I wonder if the Iranians demanded that the cash not be new and un-circulated, seqentially numbered, or marked bills, or if the people who arranged this payment did those things as a favor to the regime?

The cash, it must be remembered, is “fungible” i.e. it can be used for anything–it could go to widows and orphans but, then, it could go to Hezbollah or Hamas, it could pay for food or to build better housing, schools, hospitals, and libraries,, or it could pay for bombs, rockets, IEDs, and suicide vests, shoulder fired anti-aircraft missiles, anti-tank weapons, AK-47s, and rocket propelled grenades.

Once the Iranians got the cash, it went into people’s and organization’s pockets, it was paid out for a myriad of things, and maybe six or seven steps later some of it ended up in a bank account or two, and we have no real way to easily trace it.

You want to see a whole team of people–inside government and out–who brazenly, willingly sold out this country, by pushing a phony deal they knew would very likely, eventually, be proven a sham, who pulled the pin on this hand grenade, hoping it wouldn’t immediately detonate and, then, just walked away?

Look no further than Obama, Kerry, and the people who proposed, negotiated, pushed, and praised this rotten deal, that made suckers of us all, and increased the danger to us from Iran, and advanced Iran’s ambitions.

  25. It wasn’t a deal.

It was an utter capitulation that was sold to the public as a “deal”.

That is, it was an alliance made by the Obama administration with Iran—an alliance, disguised as a “deal” (complete with phony, drawn-out, “difficult” and “delicate” “negotiations”) with a mortal enemy, so as to make the alliance more palatable and to make the “negotiations” leading up the “deal” seem like Obama/Kerry were genuinely negotiating.

Well, it worked (supposedly). To be sure, the Obama administration’s main area of expertise was pulling the wool over people’s eyes.

(And take a long, long bow, MSM!! for their role as Best Supporting Scoundrels.)

  26. Snow on Pine:

I disagree on the Muslim thing. I don’t think Obama adheres to any religion. I think his connection to church was pragmatic, and except for some nostalgia for his boyhood I don’t think he has any particular affinity for Islam.

Leftism—of the “progressive” variety—is his “religion,” and it has dictated his actions and decisions.

  27. HC68, Snow, Barry — good summaries but I also want to mention / highlight:
    (1) IIRC, the “deal” was never actually signed by Iran, and certainly not ratified by the US Senate;
    (2) we only found out AFTER it was a “done deal” that there were all sorts of secret agreements that weren’t revealed publicly until later (and who knows how many are still lurking?;
    (3) the cash transfer was blatantly illegal, “justified” by the miraculous pen of the president giving the Iranians “interest” on their money (which in their religion, they can’t even accept), and not adjusting for the adjudicated claims of US citizens;
    (4) and then there’s that drug deal (see below).

Neo & Snow: whether he was a Muslim or not, as the saying goes, “If he HAD been an Iranian agent, what would he have done differently?”

And I foretold yesterday that the first line of attack would be that the Israelis forged the evidence; which, when tied to the simultaneous claims that “we always knew Iran was lying,” reveals cognitive dissonance of staggeringly proportions — or deliberate malfeasance.

PS on Barry’s link to PJM:
Really, these are the internet names Vietor chose, and we are supposed to take him seriously?

“Tommy Vietor, the co-host of “Pod Save America” and founder of CrookedMedia.com, was the spokesman for former President Barack Obama’s National Security Council from 2011-2013.”

“As a member of the media, Vietor has long been a cheerleader for the JCPOA. And Vietor has maintained this stance even after his NSC co-worker Ben Rhodes — the former deputy national security advisor — admitted in 2016 that he lied to members of the media to win public support for the JCPOA.

Again, this is the former spokesman for Obama’s National Security Council. We have been presented with literally tons of evidence of Iranian malfeasance from the United States’ closest, most trusted ally. But Vietor is making the case that Americans should instead trust Iran’s position on this latest development.

After this statement from Vietor, how comfortable are you knowing that he was your source for NSC information for over two years?

Knowing that Vietor helped sell the JCPOA’s adoption, how confident do you feel about our national security if Trump doesn’t dump the deal?

Remember, the Obama administration also shuttered a major investigation into Iran-backed Hezbollah terror operatives trafficking drugs on American soil for the purposes of selling the JCPOA.”

    * * *
So, Vietor says, the Trump administration in 16 months, with the entire Deep State fighting him, helped Israel create 1/2 ton of fraudulent data, and got the US Intel agencies to vouch for its authenticity despite their known hostility to him and Bibi?

    Fools or knaves

  28. Neo–Some reasons I think Obama is a Muslim who the MSM is covering for:

Then state senator Obama was very good friends with PLO “advisor” and sometime spokesman for Yassir Arafat, Rashid Khalidi, and Obama, along with Bill Ayers and others, attended a 2003 going away party for Khalidi, billed as a “celebration of Palestinian culture,” at which Obama made a toast and some remarks that were videotaped.

Significantly, that tape has been closely held by the Los Angeles Times ever since and–despite calls that it be made public–has never been released. Now what could possibly be of interest on that tape?

You might remember Obama’s March 6, 2007 interview with the New York Times’ Nicholas Kristof titled, “Obama: Man of the World,” in which Obama talked about how “he got into trouble for making faces in Qur’an class” (in Indonesia), said that “the Muslim Call to Prayer was one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at sunset,“ and then proceeded to chant the opening lines of the Call to Prayer in what Kristoff–who spent several years in the Muslim world on assignment–said was a first-rate accent.

In 2008 “USA Today,” before the election, said in an article about Obama’s religion that the paternal grandmother Obama called “Granny,” and who had a great influence on him, was a Christian. Yet, in 2009, the “Pakistan Times” reported that she was a Muslim, who went on the obligatory once in a lifetime Hajj to Mecca, and she was quoted as saying that she was, “strong in Islam.”

Let’s not forget how, in September, 2008, in a filmed conversation with Georgie Stephanopoulos, Obama slipped and spoke of “my Muslim faith,” only changing that to “my Christian faith” after Mr. Stephanopoulos interrupted and corrected him.

Who, if he is really a Christian, makes a mistake and says “my Muslim faith.”

How about the MSM being unwilling to send any reporters to investigate Obama’s childhood years in majority Muslim Indonesia.

Some curious Australian bloggers who did go there, and nosed around, found that Obama had been registered with the state and his schools as a Muslim, and that Obama took the mandatory classes in Islam and the Qur’an that all Muslim students were required to take by the hard line Muslim government then in power there.

They also discovered that some of Obama’s classmates who lived near him remembered seeing Obama going to the Mosque with his step-father Lolo Soetoro, and that Obama even took the special, extra, after school classes in recitation of the Qur’an that only the very pious students took .

I happen to believe there is a lot of truth in the old adage that, “as the twig is bent, so is the tree inclined.”

Then, there is the little noted or reported statement of Obama’s disavowed religious mentor, the Rev. Jeremiah “God Damn America” Wright who, it is also little noted, started out as a Black Muslim.

When asked about whether and when Obama became a Christian, Wright didn’t say that he actually converted, what he did say was that, Wright “made it comfortable” for Obama to accept Christianity “without having to renounce his Islamic background.”

And when asked if he had actually converted Obama from Islam to Christianity Wright weaseled around again by replying, “That’s hard to tell. I think I convinced him that it was okay for him to make a choice in terms of who he believed Jesus is. And I told him it was really okay and not a putdown of the Muslim part of his family or his Muslim friends.”

How about one of Obama’s first actions in office, his speech to the Muslim world given in 2010 at Al-Azhar University, and, then, his bizarre instruction to NASA that it’s foremost mission was now to improve relations with the Muslim world, and to make Muslims “feel good about their contributions to science, math, and engineering.”

Then, there was Obama’s 2012 speech at the UN, in which he said that, “…the future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam.”

Finally, there was the long suppressed photo of grinning Senator Obama next to a grinning Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan at a Congressional Black Caucus event that only surfaced in the last few months.

Suffice it to say that, there have been a lot of tells, a lot of winks and nods that the MSM deliberately ignored.

10 years ago this sort of speculation would be genuinely regarded as tin-foil-hat territory.

With what we have learned about the Intel & other government agencies & Democrats (Awan family, anyone?) , with the masks falling off the MSM hourly, and with so many revelations surfacing now about past events that either weren’t known to the public or were quickly suppressed (sometimes for decades)…

  30. The downside of this will be that every Jew remaining in Iran (about 9,000) will be executed, every American-Iranian will probably be executed, and many of the people on the nuclear project will be executed. (Well, not all bad!)

  31. On the JCPOA supporters trying to have all spin go their way, even if they have to rotate the ball in three different directions simultaneously.

    https://www.weeklystandard.com/the-editors/editorial-israels-iran-trove-and-diplomatic-groupthink

“There are thousands more documents for U.S. and allied officials to interpret and examine, as Secretary of State Mike Pompeo insisted on Monday night, but none of this will change anybody’s mind. If Pompeo insists that Israel’s documents “show that Iran had a secret weapons program for years” and that “Iran sought to develop nuclear weapons and missile delivery systems,” the response of JCPOA’s proponents will emphasize the fact that little of what Netanyahu revealed is new. Both may be right. Iran’s duplicity is nothing new to the Iran deal’s proponents; indeed its duplicity (in their view) is precisely why we needed the deal in the first place and why we should stay in it now.

Welcome to the world of diplomatic groupthink. We need the Iran deal, we’re told, because it’s only by “engaging” with the regime that we can monitor what it does through JCPOA-mandated inspections. The Iranians may be hiding all sorts of things from the inspectors, the thinking goes, but without the deal there would be no inspections at all.

But by this logic there is nothing Iran could ever do, short of launching a nuclear attack on Saudi Arabia or Israel, that would persuade the deal’s proponents that discarding it is a good idea. The more Iran lies, the more it’s shown to have deceived western powers before and since signing the agreement, the more its proponents insist on preserving it. Nor is there anything else Iran could do to persuade western deal-backers to change their view. Is Tehran funding genocide in Syria? Yes, but the nuclear deal implicitly allows them to continue this behavior. Is the Khamenei regime funding Hezbollah and other terrorist organizations around the Middle East and the world? Yes, but we mustn’t “disengage.”

Iran deal proponents have come to resemble a police department that places security cameras all over town so that it can watch crimes being committed but can’t or won’t do anything about what it watches. We see Iran pursuing its nuclear program in flagrant violation of the 2015 agreement, but we can’t muster the will to do anything about it.

We’re grateful to the Israelis for reminding America and its European allies of this melancholy reality. At some point, it’ll be time to stop watching and start acting.”

  32. I have seen numbers as high as 97% of District of Columbia, Western US Capital of Evil, voting for Hussein.

So it wasn’t just the media. It was almost all of the Federal gov. They knew which side of their bread the butter was on. Humans may be stupid and shortsighted, but greed will still be clever.

Treason when it prospers, can no longer be called out as treason. In other words and modern parlance, when the traitors win, they can do whatever they want and any of you that opposes them become an Enemy of the State, a disloyal traitor.

McCarthy and Nixon and JFK all figured it out, but a little too late. When even US presidents are powerless against the Deep State or Federal enemies list, what good are regular citizens that have abdicated and outsourced power to the State or DC.

10 years ago this sort of speculation would be genuinely regarded as tin-foil-hat territo

Only certain unique people like me would not reject out of hand unpopular beliefs. Even still, 10 years ago, disinformation would have made every attempt at exposing the DS into a pig shat pile. Nobody would touch it as a result. How would you tell true information from fake information coming from intentional crazies?

  33. To me it was never fools vs knaves. It was always evil vs not evil.

The current religious system in the US, such as those Protestant pastors that advise Trum, look more like money laundering schemes than any kind of Essene, religious sect work from 200 BC. The videos may shock you with the power of those “powerful spiritual possessions” similar outside and inside mainstream religions.

Aesop, if you want to know more about tin foil hat conspiracy theories, Ask me Anything. I’ve come to learn a lot about the various theories and sides people have taken on youtube and other online communities. As any intel analyst, we can always see the world each opposing viewpoint, whether serial, paralle, or simultaneous.

  34. “How would you tell true information from fake information coming from intentional crazies?”

That really is the $64,000 question, isn’t it?
Can a fish tell it’s swimming in water?

Here’s some of the fake information by really intentional crazies:
    https://www.nationalreview.com/corner/anti-trump-history-textbook-troubling-trend/

“The most underappreciated political story of our time is the changing content of K-12 textbooks in history, civics, social studies, and related subjects. Yes, I said political story. Why are Millennials so receptive to socialism? Why are today’s Democrats dominated by identity politics? Why have movements on the political right shifted from a constitutional conservatism symbolized by the Boston Tea Party to a populist nationalism? All these changes, and more, are connected to what today’s history textbooks are, and are not, teaching. Yet we’ve barely noticed the link.”

Amazing what the Left is doing in plain sight now.
And the Right is letting it be done to them.
Except for home-schoolers, but many of them are going on instinct without being aware of how deep the rot has gone.

  35. “…short of launching a nuclear attack on Saudi Arabia or Israel, that would persuade the deal’s proponents that discarding it is a good idea.”

The thing that seems to me to be almost universally misunderstood (except by those whose business it is to know) is that pressure on Israel, even leading to its destruction (if Israel did not bend) was, all along, precisely the point of the “deal” (i.e., the capitulation).

(KSA was just going to have to be collateral damage, not that the Saudis were all that enthusiastic about this, mind you—but it’s a clue as to why they weren’t, um, all that happy with Obama, who must have believed that, given KSA’s animus towards the Zionist Entity, the Saudis would be—should be—willing to “take one for the side”….but if they weren’t willing, than tant pis….)

So no. Discarding the Orwellian-named “JCPOA” for these people is totally out of the question.

Since for them—as for their allies at the helm of the IRI—the “JCPOA” is the “last best hope on earth”.

  36. Neo–Add to my list above then U.S. Senator Obama and his wife, Michelle taking time off from his duties in Congress, and in August-September 2006 making a swing through several nations in Africa, and stopping in Kenya (83% Christian, 11.2% Muslim), where they spent several days campaigning for Obama’s supposed “cousin” Raila Odinga, from the tribe of Obama’s father, the predominantly Muslim Luo tribe.

Odinga’s supporters are Muslim, and Odinga has had a very chequered and violence filled career–check it out.

This trip by Obama was billed as a Congressional delegation trip, but that “delegation” consisted solely of Obama and Michelle.

This interference in the Kenyan election earned the U.S. a diplomatic protest from the Kenyan government.

Can you think of any other example of a sitting U.S. Senator, or a Representative for that matter, going to a foreign country, and actively and openly campaigning for a candidate in one of their elections?

    I can’t.

And, yet, this highly unusual trip was hardly reported on here in the U.S. (it got much more coverage in the foreign press), and when reported on in the U.S., it was passed off as being a perfectly routine and normal occurrence.

    Gee, I wonder why.

  37. “Can you think of any other example of a sitting U.S. Senator, or a Representative for that matter, going to a foreign country, and actively and openly campaigning for a candidate in one of their elections?”

    Fast forward to 2016-17:
“Can you think of any other example of a lame-duck U.S. President trying to sabotage the Presidential campaign of the opposing party’s candidate and then after that opposing party’s candidate was—in spite of everything—elected President, doing his best to sabotage that presidency?”

(Some might call it a “pattern”. A “trait”. An “M.O.”)

Oh—and all for the good of the country, of course. (Which some might call just another “pattern”, “trait”, or “M.O.”)

  38. Amazing what the Left is doing in plain sight now.
And the Right is letting it be done to them.

The internet sub communities noticed the effects far longer than 10 years ago.

It’s just that Ivy Leagues and private ed are like a bubble. They don’t necessarily understand how corrupt and crooked the textbook publishing industry is. But I do, and I did so back in college.

It wasn’t hard to figure out. The Leftist alliance is made out of 1000 factions. Not all of them are the same ideologically or politically.

Pine’s research is good. Easy open source example of data mining. Too many people think they are researching things online by using Yahoo News or AP Reuters…

Republicans were trained to be scared of commies and to trust in business ethics. The problem is, there is no reason why ChiCom communists and Soviet Russians could not use capitalism to fuel the House of Marxist war. I just follow the money. I don’t set up strawhouses and sand castles made out of presuppositions based on the conflict between Marxism and Capitalism.

No history book from college board will ever tell you what happened with polygamy in the USA or Utah.

  39. Checking primary sources will often reveal that historical revisionism and modern comprehension is nothing like what people back then were talking about.

Textbooks are edition updated every year or even faster, so as to make more money. In the process, it is like the telephone game. The events of even a few years ago, let alone a few centuries ago, become incomprehensible and unrecognizable. It is the same process any ancient text goes through when translated for modern consumption.

Only the things written on metal and maybe stone, are incorruptible.

  40. By any sensible standard, Obama is a muslim. His father was muslim, and that makes him a muslim. He was registered at school in Jakarta as a muslim. He attended Koran classes, went to mosque with his stepfather. You don’t attend muslim prayers if you are not muslim. I have visited mosques a number of times, but non-muslims are never allowed during prayers.
I had never read the weasely answers from “Rev” Jermiah Wright about Obama’s “conversion” to Christianity, but his answers do not correspond to a profession of Christianity.
And in any case, from the point of view of the muslim world, THEY consider him a muslim — for the reasons above.
    Delilah

  41. Rust newer sleeps and there is a thing called weathering ….. so much for metal and stone being permanent records. Other than that, Ymar is absolutely correct, as always.

  42. Ymar – “No history book from college board will ever tell you what happened with polygamy in the USA or Utah.
    http://jod.mrm.org/4/257

I read the excerpt, and feel inclined to point out to non-LDS readers that the “Journal of Discourses” (JOD) is a compendium of sermons and talks (hence its title) which are the personal opinions of the writers – and that the work has never been accepted as canon (scripture) by the LDS Church, nor are the individual entries taught in any of our church classes.
It should be considered more like an early “Atlantic” or “New Yorker” — entertaining, sometimes enlightening, but only explanatory of doctrines as understood by the speakers at that time, not authoritatively binding on the members.

The few times I have dipped into its pages, I have noticed that many of the speakers (most of the talks are transcribed oral deliveries) have a very dry, and even droll, humor, which is exhibited in the one cited by Ymar.

  43. so much for metal and stone being permanent records.

You misunderstand the difference between permanent records that cannot be lost vs the Sumerian and Egyptian writings that have lasted longer than papyrus copies. A lot of what Om thinks is “wrong” is merely due to his lack of comprehension, sadly enough.

It should be considered more like an early “Atlantic” or “New Yorker” – entertaining, sometimes enlightening, but only explanatory of doctrines as understood by the speakers at that time, not authoritatively binding on the members.

The critical usage of primary texts is not to create “Salvation” or “Doctrine” for human organizational purposes. The usage of primary texts like 1st Enoch is for the user to understand what humans were actually doing and thinking in the past, without their modern preconceptions, presuppositions, and prejudices.

Because people are afraid of it affecting their modern status quo, they begin seeing primary sources via a certain modern lens: thus corrupting it. Scholars and archaeologists have long been criticized and blamed for corrupting experiments and data by having “biased” preconceptions. It is almost impossible to completely eradicate this, but there is a difference between trying and not trying.

The Atlantic is not a primary source. It may not even be a secondary source.

A primary source is the Secession documents. The Mayflower Compact.

  44. Personally, in researching why the Protestant hierarchies and the United States of America federal army, decided to wage war on the Territory of Utah and the Latter Day Saints, polygamy or no polygamy, the primary sources of journals and diaries and sermons are very critical for the period leading up to 1857 and 1860. The post CW1 years are also important for research and contextualizing.

For a scholar and researcher, these primary sources are a treasure trove, not a matter of Christian “doctrinal” in fighting that religious fanatics do all too often to primary texts in their possession and sight.

America as the “land of religious freedom” wasn’t quite what the history books told us in public indoctrinated education.

I doubt even the mainstream Mormons and Latter Day Saint mainline lineages know as much of the true events as I am coming to know now.

In the future, humanity will be using our journals and internet blogs just to figure out what exactly happened in CW2 and the Apocalypse.

  45. https://www.sfgate.com/bayarea/article/Mormons-face-flak-for-backing-Prop-8-3264077.php

I think the standard back in Soddom was 10 or more righteous people and the judgment will be stayed.

California probably only still exists as a US state and not a civil war front or secessionist sanctuary state, because there’s still a lot of resistance fighters in that state.

The person who initiated the Daily Kos campaign to look into the lives of Mormon donors is Dante Atkins, an elected delegate to the state Democratic convention who said he’s the vice president of the Los Angeles County Young Democrats.

Atkins said his goal was to “embarrass the opposition by pointing out and publicizing any contributors they may have.” He said focusing on Mormons made sense. “If one religious group is putting close to the majority of the money and the effort into passing this proposition, it is fair to single them out.”

Actually, the profile intel is used to assassinate people like Eich, former CEO of Mozilla.

This is the kind of “wisdom” humans had in 2008, on gay marriage. Hah. Talk about a bunch of conned marks. I was too busy researching the future civil war from the Leftist alliance to be worried about that distraction called politics.

Equal rights and diversity, yea right.

Sundstrom believes such responses must come from deep places of pain – and that gays and lesbians are entitled to the same rights as heterosexuals, just not the word marriage. Any animosity toward gays or lesbians is wrong, she said.

“There must be such deep, deep, deep hurt; otherwise there couldn’t be so much opposition,” she said. “They’ve lived with this. I guess we’re getting a taste of where they live.”

Don’t worry about pain, Milo has already been transformed. As for persecution, prepare for the next wave.

Maybe when people have the same right not to be raped by pedo+gays, like Milo got, we would have the same right not to be made into homos to spread more homosexuality. Maybe they can start on those anti Hollywood pro human rights for once.

    https://www.sfgate.com/news/article/It-s-just-a-dress-Teen-s-Chinese-prom-attire-12877452.php

To be honest, most Asian men would love for young beautiful Western women to wear Asian dresses. So go for it if you want. Culture doesn’t matter nearly as much as face.

In 10 years, Californians went from “EQUALITY” to “Totalitarian” pretty fast…

    That’s not evolving, that’s devolving.

  46. You would think that, in choosing your closest advisors on Foreign Policy, a President would search for mature, highly qualified, experienced people who had an extensive education in, and knowledge of Foreign Affairs, coupled with the wisdom and good judgment that come from many years of practical, on the ground experience in Foreign Affairs.

It is amazing and frightening, then, to realize that one of Obama’s main policy advisors, someone who was apparently instrumental in forming a number of Obama’s major foreign policy initiatives dealing with the Middle East, Iran, and Cuba, was former Capitol Hill speechwriter, Deputy National Security Advisor Ben Rhodes (whose brother David Rhodes, incidentally, is President of CBS News)–whose only academic credential is a MFA in Creative Writing, and whose main qualification appears to be that he was a loyalist, and whose main experience was as a failed novelist and speechwriter.

Rhodes, of course, famously boasted to the New York Times that he created an “echo chamber” among reporters he viewed as young and clueless, that sold Obama’s Iran deal.

No wonder the Obama “legacy” in Foreign Relations is one of ignorance, wishful thinking, betrayal, and abject failure.

  47. Writing on clay tablets or on stone works in arid climates to preserve fragments and provides an incomplete of ancient religious practices. It doesn’t work well for other parts of the world. Oral traditions and writing on more portable media (use if gold tablets isn’t common, BTW) seems to be more widespread. Just stating the obvious. What is astounding that the information of religious practices of the ancient Egyptians survived thousands of years of looters. But no one practices it today for example.

  48. When a text is corrupt it is different from it being damaged. A corrupted text means that someone has rewritten or overwritten the writing, changing the meaning.

People mistake a corrupted text as a damaged text maybe because they don’t have to deal with the difference.

Papyrus doesn’t last for very long. The scrolls from Qumran are usually not intact and has been fragmented. A text has been corrupted when there is two identical contracts, but they read differently. This is different from a scribal error in copying something down. If a single character is not drawn correctly in the Torah, the entire Torah scroll is burned.

Any changes would have to be intentional. By burning the other copies, people could push the corrupt text as the original. But only if they destroy all copies.

  49. What most likely happens to metal plates is that somebody found them and melted them down for the gold contents. The Romans pretty much did that to the temple in Judea in 70 AD. The temple was burned and the gold leaked into the foundation stones. Rome took the temple apart stone by stone looking for that liquid metal. The Native Americans have been burying their histories in the ground for some time now. People didn’t realize it until one of the 5 guardians of each tribe spoke out about it.

It was mostly clay tablets but the earlier ones were metal. It’s like their civilization devolved not evolved. Recently some tribes requested that the Smithsonian give back the records from various graves and sites they dug up. It was enforced via a federal law. Put it back in the ground where they found it.

The Norse recorded their history and events on Runic stones. Some of them even looked like it was about Christianity and the Orthodox cross, before 950 AD. It would explain the apocryphal accounts of Paul making it to Spain and the UK.

  50. http://nativevillage.org/Archives/2010%20News%20Archives/February%202010/A%20Common%20History%20of%20Assyrians.htm

Stuff they don’t tell us in manifest Destiny American history class.

Gold does not react to oxygen nor does it tarnish, not the pure kind at least. As a record keeping tool, it is pretty good. Unfortunately, human greed makes almost all usage of it dangerous as well.

More than one person has died due to hoarding gold.

On a theological plane, whether gods exist or not, the question is whether these gods and spiritual divine level entities are stupid or not. If they are stupid then they would put all their eggs and records into one mortal temple and have it blow up, losing everything with no backup. If they at least have a clue about how to manage data, then they would backup their records and data for future generations.

Which means even if the Caves of Qumran had intact scrolls that were destroyed by people on purpose after it was found, there would still be other backups. Ones that would be slightly more resistant to being destroyed. That would be interesting, because the modern religious systems will have to scramble to deal with it. Atheism won’t be their enemy but their ally at that point.

  51. Ymar finally realizes and has to expound on the obvious for all those who didn’t know; looters like gold. Too funny.

  52. If looters didn’t like gold, the US treasury would still have America’s gold. Fortunately for the DS, they do not.

  53. Clue to Ymar, everything isn’t the DS aka “Dumb Sh*t” as you prefer to call it.
