Apple’s Christmas dance
I saw this ad on TV the other day and it caught my attention for obvious reasons—the dancing. I think I may have seen a shorter version, but whatever I saw I rather liked it.
I didn’t understand what they were actually advertising (not atypical of me; I’m not so up on current technology, and I’m not an Apple fan at all), but I liked the atmosphere of the ad, the movement, and especially that nifty slo-mo flip at the end.
Enjoy:
It’s always frustrating when I see something that is crying out for an hilarious, snarky response that I, like George Costanza, am unable to properly provide. Something about listening to your phone, in public, while walking — make that dancing, across the street, in a snow storm, with a stranger.
LTEC:
She’s imagining it. The nighttime parts are her imagination. When the light is bright, that’s supposed to be real. Or relatively real.
I don’t know why but at the conclusion I was sad.
Jim Murray:
Missed connections. Yearnings unfulfilled.
Wireless headphones can be shared and are wicked awesome, and Apple includes them in their new iPhone, so Apple is wicked awesome too.
Yeah, the ad is for the new iPhone and the Airpods.
(The text at the end says the Airpods are sold separately.)
The Airpods would be really cool except, my ear is shaped weird, so unlike for most of the other humans on the planet, earbuds (and presumably the Airpods as well), will not stay in my ear.
Oh well.
Cool ad.
I bet these will be a hit with the people who meet in airports to tango through the wait times.
