I’m about to go out… — 11 Comments

  1. The weather has turned to a decidedly typical Northeast temperature and feel. We had tropical (warm and humid) air at the beginning of the weak – clear, crisp, dry, and cool yesterday and today.

For me that makes the peepin’ the best.

  3. I was but now fox is running a propaganda piece that defines racism and the history in a mish mosh, no mention of trotsky, no mention of prior history, or anything… and even funky wrong history (but they dont answer, if that was so, why didnt hitler take over africa, which was and would be easier, and why no camps, or any such, and why did they serve in the waffen)

they are partially making this stuff up from a mish mosh… civil war will come if they keep it up.

    enjoy your colored leaves

  4. HA! I just spent the day (and many many more to come) disposing of leaves. That’s what you get when you have trees. Problem is I am getting old as are my neighbors. Oh well.

  5. Ironically, growing up in Florida, I never understood people from northern climes complaining about “no seasons”. Now, in Southern California after 35+ years in Virginia, I understand.

We have beautiful flowers, and such, year round. They become so ubiquitous that we hardly notice them. How we welcomed the fall leaves, then the spring blossoms after the brown and bare of winter. I think humans are naturally attuned to changing seasons.

Some would appropriately say, “tough”. Not all roses, though. Luckily the last two wild fires skimmed by both loved ones and us; but the season is not over. Heartbreak for those in “wine country”. When nature exerts herself, we are reminded of how vulnerable we are.

  6. Frog:

Why on earth do you care? By the way, you’ve guessed wrong about me in almost every way in the past.

My friend is actually friends plural, a couple. One is a moderate liberal, the other a conservative Trump-supporter. They don’t live in Vermont.
