The media: the march against Trump goes on, from “collusion” to “obstruction” — 25 Comments

  1. ‘I wonder what the next charge will be in their relentless quest for Trump’s impeachment’

Emoluments is currently warming up in the bullpen. Will be brought into the game soon.

  2. Who am I gonna believe? Not Comey, and not (NOT, NO WAY, NO HOW) the NYT. Nor the alphabets.

  3. Trump cant obstruct justice, he has the power to order any investigation stopped for any reason… duh… he has the power to pardon… ie. make any investigation null and void after the fact meaning it has no power before the fact.

the president cant obstruct justice.. duh…
and if you think otherwise, then you dont know american law or your thinking cap is not on.. .

and they are proving he isnt nuts and they dont think so either.

wake up… ie. if someone is nuts, and they have a gun, or nuclear codes, or 90 days to move troops where they want, or can give an executive order declassfying information on any one that they have it on…

would you be pounding, and harrasing such a fragile ego that might destroy the world?

    playing you for fools..
and you guys actually get sucked into the arguments that have no basis and get you to igore the other things.

    what other things?
well, i am kind of tired of bringing things up while you guys are having so much fun being distracted by bs. [at least now you know how despots rise to power, people like you cant keep your eye on the real deals and get whipsawed around by bs that has no basis because you cant tell it has no basis… even if he said to comey… stop the investigation.. THAT IS HIS PEROGATIVE AS PRESIDENT… because of the power of the pardon… so your just arguing law that dont exist, has no basis, and what are you not paying attention to?

Stephen Schwartz University of Chicago Law School and has also been nominated to the U.S. Court of Federal Claims

The federal government no longer will make settlement agreements with any person or organization not directly involved in a legal dispute, Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced Wednesday.
The move by Sessions abolished a practice that has funneled likely millions of dollars in banking settlements to outside organizations in such “third-party” payments. Left-wing groups, including La Raza and NeighborWorks America, benefited from the practice

and that brings me to a changer that neo mentions but never really covers.. (along with other very important changers and dead others that we never speak about that have changed your lives and how you live every day, but are forgotten except by the left)

    2 B continued.

  4. here is a changer that is kind of left out as he is also anti feminist and anti communist:

[David] Horowitz’s journey from far-left radical to conservative warrior began when Van Patter was murdered, her badly beaten body found floating in the San Francisco Bay. Police, convinced the murder was committed by the Panthers, were unable to bring an indictment, and the feds and the mainstream press refused to look into it, so Horowitz investigated the murder on his own.

Freda Utley changed when her love of her life Arkady was caught up in The Machine…

    lots of othes
been mentioning them and waiting their turn to be talked about for more than 10 years… (and including Ruta U, and many others for other things too.. Eliza Pinkerston? etc)

After repeated denials followed by threats of retribution if he continued, he came to the disturbing conclusion that the murder was committed by the very left-wing radicals he considered allies. As noted in a National Review piece in 2015, “The Life and Work of David Horowitz,” “His lifelong friends and associates on the Left were now a threat to his safety, since they would instinctively defend the Panther vanguard; and no one among them really cared about the murder of an innocent woman, because the murderers were their political friends.”

we also dont cover the stuff that is going on with the new military equipment and how bad the US is… we think THEY are backwards and we are ahead… when WE are backwards and they are way way way ahead…

and why bother to talk about Russias ZIRCON missile?

CH-805 is an almost exact miniature copy of the B1 stealth bomber… but its a stealth drone…

a swarm of at least a couple dozen drones, which were shown flying in formation, and then going into improvised, network-generated flight patterns, marked by interdrone communications and coordination to reach their destination. The video then showed the drone swarm conduct a wide area search of their surroundings. While the CETC-Tsinghua drone swarm is unarmed, a CGI sequence showed the drones hunting an enemy missile launcher in urban area, and then explosively dive-bombing into the missile launcher, destroying it.

or the military bases they are bililding on others land

or the arctic we are giving away to russia…

In what will likely be interpreted as the latest “test” by the Kremlin to gauge western military preparedness, Reuters reports that Russia has quietly unleashed the biggest military build up targeting the Arctic since the fall of the Soviet Union.

i said they were getting ready
    they are now building bases
and now moving troops all around each sphere
    troops in the artic..
    troops near baltics
troops in senkao, paracels, and others

and your all arguing a obstruction of justice idea that has zero validity even if trump said to comey, stop the investigation (cause that is his power of his office!!!)

cant argue the power of the office if you actually have no idea what those powers are and what is allowed or not… and that is allowed, just the dems want you to think otherwise, and others dont mind

    why?

cause when your enemy (is the people) and they are making ignorant dumb mistakes you dont tell them!!!

  5. It looks like the media are so ignorant that they don’t know that under the Constitution (Article II, Section 1), the “executive Power” is “vested” in the “President of the United States of America” — and in nobody else. The Attorney General and FBI Director have no executive power on their own, but only by delegation from the President. The President can direct them to use their prosecutorial powers as he sees fit. He has the clear constitutional authority to direct that a prosecution be started or ended, or to pardon the target, or to fire any and all of the prosecutors, like Clinton did. So how is that “obstruction of justice”?

  6. artfldgr:

David Horowitz is certainly not “left out.” He’s the changer par excellence.

I’ve written many many posts about him. Here are a few about his autobiography Radical son, required reading for anyone interested in political changers..

  7. Comey testified that he told Trump he was not personally the subject of a counter-intelligence investigation.

This isn’t a “complete vindication” for Trump because Comey’s statement does not cover criminal investigations. Nor does it cover counter-intelligence investigations into the Trump Campaign.

  8. Yes, the truly hilarious part was the NYTimes being unable to find its previous sources who are on vacation, in a meeting, whose phones for some reason aren’t working, got locked out of their e-mail accounts, had hard drive crashes, are in the hospital in a coma, or who have died since February. Take your pick. Guessing they won’t be found again.

  9. Do the democrats know they are disgusting and despicable? This resistance changing from collusion to obstruction thing is so darn stupid, to prove obstruction you have to first prove motive or establish guilt of collusion, why would anyone obstructing the investigation if he was innocent? if you are innocent and a corrupted cop tries to set you up by falsifying evidence telling that corrupted cop to leave you alone is not obstructing justice fucking stupid liberals. its like changing from global cooling to global warming to now climate change all over again, when their lies got debunked by reality they just change the name of their agenda and move on.

  10. no wonder democrats appeal more to the young people, only naive inexperience Impetuous youth would believe this sort of absolute bullcrap. let’s be honest all politicians lie, you vote for the person who’s lies are most appealing and believable to you. The stories the democrats presented are all crap and unbelievable and lack the most basic sense of logic.

Check out THIS, it’s Comey’s history of bad calls. He’s chronic.

I’ve seen some of the info elsewhere (including from a commenter here on a different post), but Hemingway’s is the best-presented and most complete.

The mind boggles as to why Comey was ever appointed director of the FBI and approved (although it’s clear the Dems had no problem with his track record, why did the GOP go along?), but why in the world did Trump’s team tap Mueller for special counsel?

Maybe they hope he’ll just lay out the scant-to-nonexistent evidence against Trump and advise that “no reasonable prosecutor would indict” —

    DO they want Comey exonerated?

  12. Manju, you’re mistaken that Comey only spoke of counter-intelligence investigations.

    From the transcript:

COLLINS: There was the March 30th phone call with the president in which you reminded him that congressional leaders had been briefed that we were no personally – the FBI was not personally investigating president trump. And, again, was that statement to congressional leaders and to the president limited to counterintelligence investigations, or was it a broader statement? I’m trying to understand whether there was any kind of investigation of the president underway.

COMEY: No. I’m sorry. If I misunderstood, I apologize. We briefed the congressional leadership about what Americans we had opened counterintelligence investigation cases on. We specifically said, the president is not one of those Americans. But there was no other investigation of the president that we were not mentioning at that time. The context was, counterintelligence, but I wasn’t trying to hide some criminal investigation of the president.

COLLINS: And was the president under investigation at the time of your dismissal on May 9th?

    COMEY: No.

  13. I always thought that Comey got the FBI director job as a payoff for the Scooter Libby prosecution. I am starting to believe in the “vast, left-wing conspiracy” that Hillary Clinton warned us about.

    Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are dead.

  15. The emoluments clause is another non-starter. The #resist crowd will gnash their teeth, rage, vandalize, throw bricks at cops, assault counter demonstrators, and end up in another dead end alley stinking of urine and feces, and litter with trash. Then the next resist du jour will be ushered into the echo chamber.

I want them to become ever more outraged, silly, and violent. I also hope hrc continues her pity parade and Chelsea continues to demonstrate there is a vacuum in her cranium. Add in confused Pelosi, mad hatter Maxine, and the rest of the stooges; and a reprise of the 1968 backlash will happen in 2018.

If the pace of deregulation of cumbersome and expensive regulations increases the chance of 3+% GDP in 2017-18. The left will be restricted to their deep blue counties.

  16. Some link somewhere introduced me to this blog, and I strolled around a little and found this, which was new to me. Not sure if it portends anything or not.

    http://circa.com/politics/comey-privately-told-congress-about-second-confrontation-with-the-former-attorney-general
“Ex-FBI Director James Comey has privately told members of Congress that he had a frosty exchange with Obama Attorney General Loretta Lynch last year when he confronted her about possible political interference in the Hillary Clinton email investigation after showing Lynch a sensitive document she was unaware the FBI possessed, according to sources who were directly briefed on the matter.

In multiple private sessions over the last few months, Comey has told lawmakers about a second, later confrontation with Lynch shortly before the email probe was shut down.

Comey told lawmakers in the close door session that he raised his concern with the attorney general that she had created a conflict of interest by meeting with Clinton’s husband, the former President Bill Clinton, on an airport tarmac while the investigation was ongoing.

During the conversation, Comey told lawmakers he confronted Lynch with a highly sensitive piece of evidence, a communication between two political figures that suggested Lynch had agreed to put the kibosh on any prosecution of Clinton.

Comey said “the attorney general looked at the document then looked up with a steely silence that lasted for some time, then asked him if he had any other business with her and if not that he should leave her office,” said one source who was briefed.”

And we’re still talking about maybe Trump obstructing justice if you twist your head just the right way and squint hard, when Comey knows the AG was engaged in that very act, and he colluded with her to let it continue?

  17. What Trump did was nothing more than something like submitting a letter of mitigation to the court to hopefully getting someone a lighter sentence due to good contributions to society in the past. It was not obstructing justice, he was simple giving comey an attestation of character for Flynn, hoping comey would treat Flynn fairly and not crucify him with falsified evidence just for political reasons.

  18. Manju, you’re mistaken that Comey only spoke of counter-intelligence investigations.

    OK…point conceded Brian.

So we are left with a counter-intelligence investigation of the Trump Campaign…at the time that Comey spoke with Trump.

  19. Ah, emoluments…

I’m speaking of a wider topic than juat foreign payments, but I think a President’s net worth while in office should increase based on a simple formula: his salary less taxes and expenses plus any gains from his truly blind trust.

    Period.

    Archaic?

  20. Manju,

Plus the Flynn investigation is criminal, though he’s technically not part of the Trump administration.

And if the FBI actually did it’s job and investigated leaks, those would be criminal also.

  21. Emoluments

Griffin raises a good point. It is not to be dismissed.

There is a big question just how “blind” trump’s setup is.

In large part it is based on a level of trust.

But credibility and trust is something trump has been losing much of lately.

It doesn’t help that he’s not even forthcoming with his promised release of taxes.

  22. I don’t care about who people think they are, nor whether they worship Trum or want to get rid of him.

    I only care about results

Is the USA going to obey the divine laws that blessed them up until now with this American Exceptionalism people are proud of?

Or is the USa going to keep allowing itself to become an evil civilization, on this continent and on the world stage, daring the divine counsel to do something about it… because they will. Soddom and Gomorrah. Tower of Babel. Fall of the Watchers and Noah’s Divine Flood.

Ya think demonic spirits don’t exist? Look up the videos, that aren’t from some cheap Hollywood bulsh caricature of Catholic exorcism.
