I’m not a cat person, at all. In fact, I’ve only ever known one cat that I liked at all. But I’d take those two in a heartbeat.
We have two 12 year old cats, a 13 year old dog and a 6 year old dog. They get along like best buddies. The cats groom the dogs on the face. In turn the dogs allow the cats to sleep on top of them, especially in the winter. Dogs and cats living together. The stable where we keep our horses has two cats for rodent control. Its not unusual to see the horses nuzzling the cats or a cat asleep on a horse’s back.
We have 4 dogs and 4 cats. All get along wonderfully. And as Parker points out, many times the cats will groom the dogs with the dogs getting the most placid and serene look on their faces.
