Actor pairs: separated at birth
At first this seems extremely weird. What are the chances two celebrity actors or actresses would look so very much like each other? But when you think about it, the chances are actually rather good—they have regular features of a certain type that appeal greatly to people. So it’s not so surprising there are quite a few celebrity look-alikes:
Quite a while back I saw a picture of Miley Cyrus, topless, but with her arms covering her chest so that her breasts weren’t visible. At first glance, I thought it was Justin Beiber.
Seeing the pair on the front of the embedded video reminded me of that.
How about Obama and my back side?
Justin Bieber always had that sort of smooth, somewhat feminine good looks for a guy that guarantees success as a teen idol. The resemblance to Miley became very apparent once she cut her hair short around 2012. And prior to that, the teenage Bieber looked more like the actress Ellen Page, as both had short brown hair with bangs.
It’s too bad that Justin and Miley both got so carried away with getting all those tattoos (the influence of today’s cultural trends combined with the poor judgment of youth).
Keira Knightley also looks a lot like Natalie Portman, so much so that one of her very first roles was in “The Phantom Menace”, as the Queen’s handmaiden and decoy double.
And there is a Russian guy named Roman Burtsev, who looks like Leonardo DiCaprio, albeit a somewhat fatter one. He’s been able to use that resemblance for his own modest success, and has recreated some of the movie poses for fun:

Used to be a game “What if A played B?”, e.g. Bill Pullman playing Jeff Daniels, Penelope Ann Cruz playing Julianne Moore, etc.
Or Cyrus playing Beiber.
There is a set of “looks” that seem to very much a Hollywood celebrity standard.
Having seen a variety of British TV shows / movies, the actors look so much more like “real people”. The characters seem more sympathetic and relatable as compared to those on US productions.
If you squint hard enough, you make anything look like anything.
What Big Maq said – we also watch a lot of British TV series, and the various actors, even the leads have more ordinary, individual features.
My gut reaction towards celebrities like those pictured is to detest them. People automatically associate beauty with goodness and ugliness with evil. Because beautiful people can get away with anything, since beautiful people are considered good people, my reaction is to automatically expect celebrities to be selfish narcissistic and self righteous. They rarely fail to meet my expectations.
Add to it: Javier Bardem & Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
I also think Daisy Ridley looks a lot like Kiera Knightley.
