Dogs. Videos.

Thanks for the smiles. Both my dog and cat enjoyed the videos too…
I work at the local animal shelter 8 hours a week walking dogs and helping socialize them for possible adoption. Without dogs we would not be ‘human’ and without humans dogs would not be dogs. We are bonded as species. We give each other joy and affirmation.
My Siamese does a good job of helping me focus on what is important–her. I just wish she would wait until at least 6:30AM
Neo, you’ll appreciate this “Beware of Blog” cartoon over at Ace:

Aw-w-w-w Neo. Thanks. God’s poster creature for unconditional love. Sure it’s old and well-worn, but it bears repeating: Who loves you more, your spouse or your dog? throw’em both in the trunk of your car,; drive around the block; open the trunk. Guess which one is happiest to see you?
I grew up with dogs always around, but I’ve had a number of very bad experiences with humans and their dogs ever since. So now, by this point, I don’t like dogs.
Absolute and utter minority opinion here. But why do dog-owners always laugh when their animal attacks someone?
miklos000rosza, I understand what you are saying, but I don’t blame the dogs.
Out here in California it is the law that dog owners must clean up after their pets on public walkways. Every morning I walk a wonderful trail, provided by the city, that leaves the residential areas behind and winds into the mountains. The first mile is paved, then unpaved. The paved portion is a veritable mine field of “you know what”. It may not be PC to observe this; but most of the users are Latino (or is it Hispanic?); a significant number are Asian; and a lesser number are European. I see Asians and Europeans picking up after their dogs; so I am left to conclude…
I will say that it is nice to see happy dogs out on the trail; and I have had the opportunity to become friends with a few delightful animals who make a point of introducing themselves.
Dog Cooked Seven Ways — a Vietnamese dish that is not as good as it sounds.
Mixed Breed Spicy Sausage — always tasty.
Kung Pao Bow Wow — never fails to please.
moklos000rosza, you went much too far. Foul.
Even the Artfuldodger figured Neo could use a little break and provided, I believe, his contribution to a psychological respite.
Well, here’s my contribution to the cause.
Visiting YouTube I noticed that they must have mined my history, because they recommended that I replay the Bireli Lagrene/Philip Catherine performance of “I remember April” which had left me dumbstruck when I first saw it. [The numerous guitarists here will understand]
But, there was also a recommendation that I look at someone called Ksenia. What? Who? Turns out that that was Neo’s Russian Jazz Dancer discovery whom she blogged about many moons ago. The video recommended was of her revealing the secret of her Charleston moves. Not really to my taste but I guess their tracking and extrapolation software doesn’t account for that.
Anyway, here you go Neo. A five minute mental vacation that probably is to your taste. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OTycDNiL2Xk
Old sayings down here:
“Anyone who loves dogs can’t be all bad.”
“A man’s gotta cry when his dog dies.”
Both true in my experience.
