Stabbings seem to have come into vogue
[UPDATE 12:15 PM 11/5: As is so often the case, the most detailed information and photos we’re getting early on about the attack is from the British press. It should also come as no surprise to anyone that the man wielding the knife was named Faisal Mohammad, a freshman student of 18 who was in the computer science and engineering school.
“Warnke said investigators, including the FBI, were still trying to determine the motive for Mohammad’s attack.” At this point that’s the correct thing to say, but we can certainly speculate, and it’s not rocket science to imagine a would-be jihadi motive. There will be a press conference later this afternoon. It will be interesting to learn if Mohammad was a citizen or not, as well.]
And this one at UC Merced seems to have been slowed with—of all things—a ladder.
And then by the campus police, with guns.
When I wrote that stabbings have come “into vogue,” it may have seemed like a frivolous thing to say. But I don’t mean to be frivolous at all. There are trends in violence, contagion effects that come from suggestible people on the border of doing violence themselves, who get ideas on how they might want to go about doing so from hearing the details of other incidents.
We know next to nothing about this would-be killer, except that he was a “young adult” who was a student at the university and a California resident, and that he is now dead. All the victims are excepted to recover.
I hope they are expected to recover.
“. . . into vogue”
Indeed.
The best defense against a bad man with a knife is a good man with a ladder, I always say. I personally never go to theaters that have a “No Ladders” policy. College campuses are particularly dangerous places because even the security aren’t allowed to carry ladders. The only chance you’ve got is if an off-duty maintenance worker happens to be nearby. I draw the line at concealed ladder permits, though. They’re just too risky.
“The UC Merced student who wounded four people in a stabbing spree at the campus has been identified as Faisal Mohammad, a freshman student from Santa Clara.”
Motive still unclear.
Those youths! What in the world gets into their heads when they go off to college?
Especially those silly freshmen…
The obvious solution is to declare the campus a knife free zone. Problem solved.
There was a recent stabbing of an orthodox Jew in Crown Heights. Somebody attacked him from out of the blue on the street — very similar to what’s been going on in Israel.
Ah yes,….. so surprised to learn the stabber is “Faisal Mohammad” — said nobody ever.
Faisal Mohammed. Apparently he was attempting to *behead* his first victim when a construction worker from a nearby room ran in and distracted him. Also reported: Mohammed had a smile on his face as he attacked.
Motive still unclear?
Yeah, it’s a mystery. That’s why the FBI and Homeland Security is involved.
The beheading motive was hinted at in an early report that a witness saw someone being “stabbed” in the neck. We’ll see as more information comes out whether that holds up, but it’s a very logical conclusion.
Psycho attacked me this morning on the subway… didnt get far, but knifes, and such are a worry
I grew up in an inner city slum and violent neighborhood, so its a wash…
Viva La Spork!!!!
Allah promises to reward those who spread Islam by taking part in the hijrah. But in case that isn’t motivation enough, the Islamophile quislings who spend our money for us provide other incentives.
Individual Development Accounts (IDA) are matched savings accounts designed to help refugees save for a specific purchase. …
IDA grantees provide matched savings accounts to refugees whose annual income is less than 200 percent of the poverty level and whose assets, exclusive of a personal residence and one vehicle, are less than $10,000. Grantees provide matches of up to $1 for every $1 deposited by a refugee in a savings account.
There have been many reports recently of Palestinians using knives to stab or kill Israelis in Jerusalem.
Cap’n Rusty:
Yes, that’s part of the vogue I’m referring to.
Things are getting sooooo soviet…
[they use knives in communist countries too cause guns are not allowed]
Juvenile Delinquents Shall Henceforth Be Called “Justice-Involved Youth”
“The Department of Justice is committed to giving justice-involved youth the tools they need to become productive members of society,” Attorney General Loretta Lynch said in a news release on Monday.
Lynch said the Justice Department and the Department of Housing and Urban Development are launching a $1.7-million initiative to help Public Housing Authorities and legal assistance groups “reduce barriers for justice-involved youth.”
ie. they are not only wanting to regulate commerce, but want to use taxes to control behavior, then want to tell you what you can think, what you can say, what you can do, what you cant do, whether you can go to school, how to run your business, etc.
wish the women would stop voting FOR this
at least then there would be a chance to defeat this
here is super feminist Phyllis Chesler
The Burqa: Ultimate Feminist Choice?
Quoite: “Women in chadors are really feminist ninja warriors”
Feminist hate explodes on Twitter with #killallmen
[do a search and be surprised… ]
personally i really dont care to save a culture of people who openly want communism, and have marginalized any of their own who want otherwise.
its gotten to ridiculous extremes..
and when the fighting starts
the men will say, fight for what?
let the women fight islam
they wanted all this, and voted for it and negated any kind of cogent conversation…
if anyone wants, i can post the stuff
posting it to get yelled at is not worth the time.
The IDF provides a web page dedicated to a detailed account of the various knifing and other attacks ongoing now since mid-September.
Artfldgr:
I think you’re reading too quickly, because you have certainly mischaracterized Chesler’s article, which was written in 2009. After that line you quote (“Women in chadors are really feminist ninja warriors”), Chesler goes on to attack those ideas:
To you, since you are apparently not familiar with Chesler’s work, it was not obvious that she was not stating her own ideas. But Chesler is very anti-Islamic jihadi, and she sees feminists today as being in league with it. She’s done a lot of work in that vein in the last decade; it’s a big cause of hers. She’s written a book calling out feminists on the subject. She also has some personal experience (a bad experience, that is) with being married to a Muslim long ago, and has written a memoir about that.
I worry more that bombings will increase.

It’s called mass mind control, using triggers to set them off.
This is also what happens when a population of weaklings think they are superior to me or others.
H2H was obsolete, heh. Sure, said the person dying of a stab wound.
we’re getting early on about the attack is from the British press.
That’s the Daily Mail. It’s not accurate to conflate them with the BBC or the Guardian.
