Jerry Crawford, Clinton family friend and chair of her Iowa campaign back in 2008, had this to say about her recent performance in the debate and then during the Benghazi hearing:
“People, instead of getting the filtered Hillary through the media, they got the real Hillary and they were reminded how much they really like her and how much they really respect her,” Crawford said. “Then again this week, they got the real Hillary at the Benghazi hearing. And so, when she’s able to communicate directly to people she does extraordinarily well.”
The real Hillary.

Yeah, the *real* Hillary: someone who egregiously but blandly lies to your (and *in* your) face while maintaining all the cool and poise necessary to get over the hump.

Yep, we got to see the real Hillary…a congenital liar. Just like Bill, but with much less charm.
What a huge effort went into programming the robot for debate and then switching out the programming entirely, over the course of just a few days, for the hearing. Masterful! Yes, yes, let’s talk about that and about how she “won” the debate and the hearings. Preempting judgment.
BTW, Clinton LOST the debate – it was Bernie Sanders who rose in the polls afterwards. But that FACT was drowned out in the press. The press has labeled the hearings a “win” as well, running with the evergreen “hapless Republicans” theme because there was no dramatic gotcha during the testimony and regardless of the number of obvious lies and missteps made by Clinton.
Crawford would have said the same thing if Hillary murdered three people onstage and ate their vital organs.
