Forget Hillary; what about security?
In all the focus on Hillary’s server and what she knew or should have known and how it will affect her politically, a very important question is somehow being given short shrift, and that’s how serious were the security breaches?
There are indications that the answer might be, very:
So America’s intelligence agencies are assuming that every communication of America’s Secretary of State for months or more was read by our adversaries. Isn’t that likely to amount to one of the worst intelligence breaches in American history? And here’s the kicker. Even if we got lucky and the Russians and Chinese didn’t actually intercept some or all of Hillary’s emails, our intelligence agencies now have to behave as if they did. Doesn’t that mean that we are now making massive changes to the sources and methods of our intelligence? Are we now withdrawing valuable agents? Are we trying to replace methods that cannot be easily replicated? Are we now forced to rebuild a good deal of our intelligence capabilities from the ground up? Are we not suffering tremendous intelligence damage right now, regardless of what foreign intelligence services did or did not manage to snatch from Hillary’s server””simply because we are forced to assume that they got it all?
Hey, I’ve got an idea—let’s make this woman president!
Even with this missive the REAL damage is jumped past: HRC broke the keywords and the encryption system as a whole.
The STRUCTURE itself — is metadata of a kind.
Once the structure of our encryption scheme was broken even new keywords don’t repair the systemic damage.
In the WWII era, new keywords were generated every single day. However, it never took more than a handful of hours for the British or Americans to dope out the new keyword — and then read EVERY transmission.
HRC HAS to have compromised the structure of our digital transmission schemes. This is not a presumption — it’s a certainty.
The Red Chinese expedition to the Bering Sea is a CLASSIC electronic interceptions mission. Its purpose is to stimulate Presidential chatter — particularly plain text that the Reds can be certain of.

Way, way, back in the Cold War, the Walker spy ring revealed that the Soviets were reading our Blue Channel (command) traffic.
To prove that the Russians were doing so the USN sent (3) carrier task forces — one mighty fist — sailing past Vladivostok. During their transit, extremely alarming Blue Channel commands were transmitted to the fleet vice-admiral at sea.
These provocations were all spurious, of course. The intent was to stimulate the Russian area commander to react upon them. Yes, he did so. He was so far from Moscow that he didn’t wait to wake up his superiors.
But nothing happened.
His hyper alert // prep for war gave away Soviet decryption capability. Moscow court martialed him for his efforts, IIRC. He was gone the next day. (!)
DefSec Cap Weinberger just about had a heart attack when this reality was made evident.
EVERYTHING that has transpired during the BHO era evidences that the opposition has been reading our diplomatic traffic.
1) Ukraine
2) Iran
3) Egypt
4) Syria
5) Afghanistan
6) Iraq
The HRC State Department overthrew Hosni Mubarak — there is no doubt about it. 60 Minutes did an exposé — with the players proud to claim responsibility — the works.
When Putin read our diplomatic traffic WRT Kiev — he wigged out. ALL of his war steps have been made in concert with American policy debates revealed in our diplomatic traffic.
Only now is it plain why the President has had simply ZERO foreign policy success. Just on random chance, he should’ve stumbled upon an acorn by now.
HRC has blown up ALL of BHO’s initiatives. His two terms flushed down the drain.
The State Dep also sabotaged the Iraq conflict from start to finish. It’s why Condi Rice had to take State, to keep the traitorous fools in check.
“So America’s intelligence agencies are assuming that every communication of America’s Secretary of State for months or more was read by our adversaries. … Even if we got lucky and the Russians and Chinese didn’t actually intercept some or all of Hillary’s emails, our intelligence agencies now have to behave as if they did. ”
I don’t want to scare anybody, but it’s even worse than that.
Don’t forget about those 30,000 emails she deleted. Sure, she says they were all personal and just about Yoga, Chelsea’s wedding, etc. But she’s lied about everything else, and by that I mean throughout her entire life.
So it isn’t just what we know about her communications that matters. Investigators have to assume that possible thing that other agencies in the intelligence community might have shared with the Department of State has been compromised.
Had she used an official account there might be some way to assess the scope of the damage but because of this woman’s incredible deviousness, recklessness, irresponsibility, and all-consuming self-regard and sense of entitlement there’s now just no friggin’ way to know.
But of course it would be sexist not to vote for her.
Sandy Berger happened before this. So anyone that voted in Hussein, should have known it was possible at the top.
But then again, that’s why they vote in their God King, to become Emperor of America and open the way for future Leftist Tyrants and mass murderers.
It’s just how they are. They’re zombies. Don’t expect human reason or rules from them. They aren’t human any more. They don’t even have free will to qualify as a human.

I can see how hackers from China, Russia, etc probably grabbed passwords (“keywords”) from Madam Hillary’s home-brew server, thus enabling them to decrypt some communications while she served as Secretary of State.
Why do you believe the entire encryption system (of the State Dept? the entire US govt?) has been “broken”? What is the “systemic damage” that cannot be fixed by using “new keywords”?

Why do you keep comparing the Hillary Clinton debacle to things that have happened before? Not to invoke Godwin’s law, but it would like looking at the devastation of the Holocaust and saying, “We’ve had serial killers before.”
Nothing has changed. Except everything. Because of the minor details of technology. Back during the middle ages it would have been tough to slaughter millions. Your arms would have gotten tired swinging swords and axes. But thanks to the miracles of modern chemistry and physics you can slaughter millions in a few minutes without breaking a sweat.
Yes, Sandy Berger stole classified by stuffing papers down his pants and in his socks. Bradley Manning stole classified by downloading files to disk. Hillary Clinton stole classified by having four years of State Department correspondence on a private unsecured server.
You can hardly compare the first theft to the other two even if all three people had the same motives. The latter two thefts resulted in damage that is orders of magnitude greater than you could effect when you had to steal paper copies.

Modern, automatic encryption systems are logical engines// programs// coding that scramble plain text // voice communications in a highly predictable way — IF and only IF you have the key — or key word — which is not really a word these days — its a massively long binary string related to prime numbers — or yet some other convoluted digital puzzle.
In the case of the British, once they had captured Enigma encryption machines — in the field — off of German vessels… they were most of the way home. All that they needed each day was the new keyword.
Todays systems are so digital — that they can be logically deduced — reverse engineered in software alone — if the attacker has enough insight as to the meta-structure of the scheme.
With HRC’s emails EVERYTHING that a top class code breaker ever needed was there on a platter.
1) Loads of plain text — just no end of it.
2) Time stamped — to boot. Easy to mate up with the same text that’s been scrambled.
3) The Structure of the plain text, too. Metadata such as the header, closer, how much stuffing// padding is added, and so forth.
[ Padding is used at the beginning and ending of the plaintext to make it appear to not be what it is. The most famous padding in history was: “All the world wonders.” That garbage expression was padded on to the transmission from Nimitz to Halsey when he was sailing north after the Japanese fleet. Halsey took that padding to be a personal insult from his superior officer. It took QUITE some time for the matter to settle out — as the two admirals had to air it all out — face to face, IIRC. (So that nothing would be recorded, of course.) ]
Of course HRC’s coding engine HAD to be identical to the others used by the State Department. So now the Russians, Chinese, Iranians, were all being given the key word through her email ‘backdoor.’
BTW, this was EXACTLY how the British gained the keywords of the Germans. A mere handful of German officers were lax in their Enigma usage. One Luftwaffe major in particular kept sending the EXACT same plain text over and over — day after day. When the plain text was mated to the coded message — the keyword fell out by way of the logical engine the British built. It was named “the bomb” BTW.
Thereafter ALL of the German traffic that used that keyword was readable. The SS used a different keyword and much better security procedures. So the British were never able to decode SS command traffic. They got all they needed from everybody else.
The obvious implication of a non-secure server. Yet no one cares. The State Department doesn’t do its job, no one cares. The DOJ doesn’t do its job, no one cares. The IRS targets enemies. The PRESIDENT targets enemies. The NLRB destroys franchise and contract work. The HHS tramples rights to give the abortion lobby power and money. The military abandons military readiness as a goal and embraces transgender soldiers. The Supreme Court rules that the purpose of marriage is to give two people dignity. These people are all running amok, doing great danger to our country, and no one seems to care or want to do anything about it.
Because of the minor details of technology.
Human nature didn’t change. Your minor details changed, but that only matters to people who lacked the will to execute the evil when they saw it. It’s easy to do nothing back then and say it didn’t matter. But when you want to do something now, it’s not so easy any more.
Why do you keep comparing the Hillary Clinton debacle to things that have happened before?
Why are you people so surprised by these so called debacles when it was easy to see what would happen even in 2007?
At what point did I express surprise, Ymarsakar?
My point isn’t that it’s surprising that people will betray a trust. That goes all the way back to Benedict Arnold as far as the history of this country is concerned.
My point is that technology has changed everything. It was never possible before for a single individual to betray every secret a country had. Theoretically, given compartmentalization it should still not be possible.
But thanks to advances in IT investigators have to assume Hillary Clinton has betrayed every single secret the Dept. of State was privy to during and prior to her tenure.
This wouldn’t have been possible thirty years ago.
She’s more incompetent than I ever would have believe, careless and most likely arrogant. Only an arrogant person who did not think they needed to take the time to follow the rules would do this. But these are VERY IMPORTANT RULES.
Yes, I hope the damage is not too bad but — ??? This very alarming.
My point is that technology has changed everything. It was never possible before for a single individual to betray every secret a country had.
You must not have realized how many things the Clintons sold the Chinese via that satellite/space tech transfer then.
Sandy Berger was just what the Left allowed you to know about. They were already selling the country out, piece by piece, for a long time now.
The only difference now is that this was a little bit accidental and they didn’t intend for it to be let out of the bag so soon. Technology hasn’t changed anything fundamental, this ‘everything’ you speak of only comes from the pov that the Left hasn’t been selling American secrets in the past. They already sold most of America’s secrets already. Haven’t you figured it out already.
The reason why it is possible now for a single individual or dynasty to destroy America from the inside out is because of the power of the Leftist alliance.
Without that power, compartmentalization and anti corruption investigations would still have prevented someone like HRC to amass so much confidential information. It would have least stopped her from becoming Sec State if the levers of the state had even worked 10% of the time as the Founding Fathers intended it.
No, what you see is the result of the Left’s power dominating the entire United States federal government. It is definitely not merely because of technological changes, which only affect things in a minor level.
It is much the same as thinking lower magazine capacities will stop mass murders, when the issue at hand is the ideology and motivations of the killers. Change the killers, and human fundamental nature might be used to good effect. Change the technology level, and it doesn’t change as much as people think.
As for being surprised, the idea that technology allows this is the fundamental core of your argument. But the fundamental core of your argument doesn’t deal with how the compartmentalization process was destroyed as well.
