Ashley Madison’s women were a hoax — 36 Comments

  1. I read that article earlier. What has me puzzled is who were the men who were active on the site interacting with if there were no active women.

  2. The good old honey trap, often used to black mail or entrap vulnerable people in positions of high power, so that espionage, sabotage, etc can be leveraged from these minions or moles.

  3. Kind of reminds me of the Gay Girl in Damascus hoax, wherein a straight man pretended to be a Syrian lesbian … and posted to a site (and flirted with the straight male proprietor of it who was also pretending to be a lesbian.)

Surreal. No one knows you’re a dog on the internet. Or a straight guy pretending to be a lesbian. Or an FBI agent posing as a nubile teenager …

  4. We need these Sexbots in a hurry.

Meanwhile we are in the Twilight Zone.

Could Néo work the narcissistic angle in there somewhere. :))

Seriously, it reveals deep frustrations …..

  5. Hi Neo

I’m actually greatly relieved to hear this…that it wasn’t true that women were participating…guys can be dogs and I get that, but the part about the women was really disturbing. Maybe there’s hope for us after all!

  6. Honestly, I was glad to hear that the women were mostly hoaxes. Gives me some hope about women in general. But I suppose what it really reveals is that it is easy for women to find affair-material in their every day life…they don’t need to go online to find it. Men, on the other hand…pretty sad.

  7. “there’s something about this public exposure that I find very, very repellent.” neo

It was an immoral thing to do, two wrongs not making a right. That said, I have little sympathy for those willing to betray the most solemn of oaths.

    Paul R,

“Percentage of marriages where one or both spouses admit to infidelity, either physical or emotional: 41%

Percentage of men who admit to committing infidelity in any relationship they’ve had: 57%

Percentage of women who admit to committing infidelity in any relationship they’ve had: 54%

Percentage of men who say they would have an affair if they knew they would never get caught: 74%

Percentage of women who say they would have an affair if they knew they would never get caught: b>68%”

  8. So, the whole things was basically a scam.

Millions of men paid for the opportunity of an illicit affair, and in order to cheat on their wives, while having virtually no chance of actually accomplishing any such thing.

And then they are outed, and publicly humiliated, to boot.

Well, they can always console themselves with the fact that they really did get … screwed … after all.

  9. We have become a highly retributive society in so many ways, mostly because of leftist propaganda and manipulation.

But conservatives have taken a very active part in the gleeful casting of stones. Retribution is the default mode. Many conservatives, even Christians, do not see that.

In this view I am very much alone, I realize.

Infidelity and the existence of Ashley Madison is repulsive.

The way America talks about how hurt people become because of this or that offense, I truly wonder why adultery is not prosecuted given its terrible destructive effect. Adultery is on the books.

Equally maybe more repulsive is the exposure and outing of weak human beings who do a repulsive thing which has been and always will be done.

Stone throwing and outing is moral preening.

Stone throwing and moral preening is now society’s demand upon prosecutors and judges, it is the entertainment demanded of the media, it is the ghastly emptiness which conservatives all too often do in the unwitting collaboration with the dominant leftist cultural hegemony.

I realize no one understands what I am saying, or cares. Outrage and condemnation always precede the facts and understanding, it seems, and concludes things.

I am agnostic but am bewildered why Jesus has so little effect.

  10. BTW, Jesus knew what he was talking about. Looking at a woman with lust, or calling another man a fool.

Jesus was addressing the psychological/state of soul.

He otherwise and elsewhere advocated love in response. He condemned the condemners.

    Not bad.

  11. The creator of this seems like a genius to me….
did he charge 10 bucks to set up an account?
If so he s rolling in cash, why didn t my husband think this up ???? or me for that matter. I read that he even charged you 20 bucks to get *un listed* (LOL)
In hindsight he must have got the idea from
*To catch a predator* recall, the shows where that endless stream of absolutely any male was willing to drive as much as 3hours to hook up with what was presented online as a 13 or 14
yr old girl, home by herself, & bring liquor & grass
& they show up at the address & the guy host confronts them right there in the house & after a discussion of the situation he says they can go but it s a *sting * & they get arrested right there in the drive way! Well the AM guy must have said I can lure these *paying $uckers* because it looks like there is no ceiling on what steams of men will do to hook up ! what saps !
There were 100 accts from ESPN, how funny, they must have thought * well I travel a lot when I m in Dallas I ll just hook up with my AM bored housewife * Does Caitlynn jenner have an acct
we know BO dosent, bubba ???? possibly !

  12. Molly @ 9:16 PM – –

To Catch A Predator is a great example of how retributive we have become.

Caligula (or was it Nero?) would put handicapped men in the arena to fight wizened lions or tigers.

    So funny.

Sex and the sex drive make us all crazy. So does money, inebriation, jealousy, anger and the desire to seem perfect.

There is a lot of crazy stuff in all our heads.

    That is life.

Who would want a tv show made of their mind?

  13. Yeah but Tonawanda *To catch a Predator* was more than retributive, it was criminal !
The females were all underaged, the men were in many cases much older adults & they were going to plying the victims with alcohol & weed !
AM creator had to have said to himself
    * I need to lure these same sap guys legally & I can make a fortune & looks like he has* !

  14. Women should know that internet sites and email aren’t secure enough for clandestine operations. That is, people other than HRC.

  15. rickl I believe the guy charged to set up accounts it was a scam to get *hooked up* (do to the lack of women) but he still got his sign up fees, I call that brilliant !

  16. Tonawanda,

Perhaps you’re confusing consequence with retribution? Who here is advocating retribution against those who, with betrayal aforethought, signed up hoping to find someone tempting enough? We all have “feet of clay” but when someone betrays the most solemn of oaths, it is a demonstration of a deep flaw in their character. Should we pretend otherwise?

Jesus combined forgiveness with repenting, i.e. “Go and sin no more”. Without contrition, forgiveness insults justice and denies consequence. When someone sincerely expresses regret and contrition, then forgiveness is entirely appropriate.

  17. Hmm. 27 million liars and cheats subscribe to this web service; and proceed to lie to each other. Go figure.

    KRB

  18. It must have occurred to everybody that the reason that the hackers detonated Ashley Madison was because THEY figured out that they were being economically ‘trolled.’ ( true fishing )

As for the proprietor — the guy belongs in prison — for this site was nothing but the ultimate long con.

    A pimp with no talent.

  19. No one knows you’re a dog on the internet.

That’s what the FBI, NSA, and various other intel orgs are for, SGT M.

And that’s why they have Facebook and other encrypted email services, feeding them a backdoor so that they can copy info and store it, for the next 100 years if necessary.

  20. People seem to be surprised at the Rot or at Planned Profit’s activities. Either that or they cover it up like the zombies that they are.

But me, I’m not surprised. It is much as I expected and much as my research sources implied or suggested.

  21. But me, I’m not surprised. It is much as I expected and much as my research sources implied or suggested.
Yes and there’ll hell to pay.

Note: stereotypes exist for a reason.

  22. Hadn’t really been following this, but once I saw his name I used it to do a search.

The first site I clicked on was the scuzzball’s own twitter site. Look at this sly-eyed clown. Like some semi-lunatic character from a low budget 1980’s Spring Break move run on HBO at 3 in the morning.

Can you imagine the likely reaction from even a hormone crazed male to a solicitation made by this creep to be “your service provider” ?

    Then this article: http://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-news/news/ashley-madison-ceo-noel-biderman-had-many-affairs-new-emails-reveal-2015278

He claimed to be faithful, but cheated on his wife.

He claimed to offer cheating opportunities to delusional men whose ability to reason and see clearly was clouded by their sexual desperation or gullibility; but, the only cheating most experienced was him cheating them out of their money.

Can you imagine being condemned to live in a universe populated exclusively with moral cretins of these types? If Hell were filled by these kinds, God would not to have to add hellfire to make damnation complete.

  23. I cannot believe how huge that was, how many men were involved. It is sickening. Even if many (most?) did not get to act on their illicit urges to cheat, the fact alone that they subscribed to such a website while under an oath of fidelity… and a website specifically marketed at men in such a situation… speaks enough.

Mind you, the exposure and the inevitable glee and “holier than thou”s that ensued are also sickening.

  24. And then they are outed, and publicly humiliated, to boot.

I believe that is called poetic justice. No doubt they’re also taken in by Nigerian email scams, ponzi schemes, and the Democrat Party.

Thousands of years (really) of sages, philosophers, and prophets cajoling, commanding, demanding people live lives of moderation, millions upon millions in circumstances that are the envy of 95% of the world are unhappy enough with their situation to believe the impossible.

If human nature does not and cannot change, 10,000 years from now, millions will fall for the same scams again. And again. And again.

  25. Internet porn is like a gateway drug. If you check out the economics of it, many are run by websites or webcams, on a subscription service.

Society generally tolerates this or promotes it, feminism included. Well, for feminism it’s more about becoming a prostitute and being paid for it, but still.

So males are conditioned, the weak ones, to access these websites from the safety of their X and they think it’s normal now. So why not this other website that offers more scintillating experiences? Gateway drug.
