But by their 60s, things have changed 180 degrees. When men show their age, they crash, while women glide down.

If you watch this video, she sure doesn’t look as you describe at all. She looks absolutely great. He doesn’t look so bad either, but at 76 she’s wonderful.
She also is funny and straightforward. About the “love is never having to say you’re sorry” bit, she remarks, “It’s a crock.”
She’s an awful actress, though.
Maybe it’s something about living in Santa Fe. She seems to have adopted the look of another famous person who lived there. Not a bad way to go at all.
Hated that movie, too. My Jen’s mom used to tease me that she was named after that character. (It was really Donovan’s “Jennifer, Juniper”. She claims.)

I worked at the Village Theater in Westwood (think UCLA) when “Love Story” premiered on Christmas Day. Had to suffer through probably 1,000 performances. Love means you ALWAYS have to say you’re sorry.
