Here’s an amazing young woman
She has a host of other videos dedicated to explaining blindness and how she copes (including some that show her applying makeup with an expert touch). I haven’t watched most of them, but her attitude and ability to articulate her thoughts is impressive. She’s nineteen years old, and lost her sight at seventeen.
Humans, the most resilient living beings on this planet. And it is great to hear anecdotes of those who’ve overcome adversity, especially with bright spirits.
I started a Wounded Warrior nonprofit over 6 years ago which helped several thousand PTSD, TBI, and limb-loss troopers in our armed services. My point?
Of those who were determined to be truly damaged, there were countless who bravely bounced back, embracing life’s challenges in their new conditions. What a pleasure to work with such patriotic and high spirited individuals.
I never took any $$$ from this endeavor, however, what I did receive was infinitely better.
I remember a camera feed showing a person coming on the bus and then slugging the woman in the side seat that was blind.
In a world where people used their own power to clean up after themselves, they would take care of it. So 3 guys from the back swarmed over him and held him down.
In a world where Pamela Geller currently lives, the 8 guys coming from the back would be stomping on the blind girl instead.

Inspiring young woman. People like her remind us that the one thousand idiots for every one of her means the odds are in our favor.
Is it just me, or does that video font seem a bit too festive for that title?

I can’t think of anything in the day to day of men’s lives that fixates us like make-up and hair care fixates women, or at least young women.

That said, women and men should both strive to present themselves in the best possible light.
