Rubio and the youth vote — 12 Comments

  1. I am not one to turn my back on Rubio, although his gang of 8 episode was a terrible move on his part. He has many strengths, despite the fact that he did not realize that border security must be in place before ant decisions are made about the fate of millions of illegal aliens (criminals) within our borders. Rubio has a deep understanding of geopolitics and the necessity of America to lead from a position of strength. He understands that DC is out of bounds and stifles economic growth, which stifles job growth.

I am not jumping on his wagon, there others I want to see on the gop ticket, but I would not hesitate to vote for Rubio if he is on the ticket.

  2. It’s interesting that you bring up John Kennedy. Both he and Obama were utterly unqualified to be President and both were creations of the press. Kennedy brought us to the brink of disaster through his weakness and incompetence and left us Viet Nam as his legacy. We still don’t don’t know what the final outcome of Obama’s Presidency will be, but the latest nuclear negotiations are very frightening. I don’t want to wake up some day to find out that a ship with a nuclear weapon blew up in NY or Boston Harbor.

  3. An addendum on JFK. His father, Joe Sr., quite explicitly said that they were going to market him just like a box of soap. It worked, unfortunately.

  4. parker…

I hold that Rubio is running to be Vice-president.

I further opine that a Walker-Rubio ticket would be brutal on HRC.

She’s a truly terrible stump speaker.

  5. I am one to turn my back on Rubio, because IMO his joining the gang of 8 was far more that simply ‘a terrible move’ on his part. It wasn’t a ‘political stumble’, rather it was a particularly revealing insight into Rubio’s character and motivations. It was a calculated move on his part.

This is so because of the particular dynamics involved in Rubio’s Cuban heritage. His parents were Cubans who had fled from Castro to the United States in 1956. As someone who lived in the greater Miami area until joining the Navy in 1969 @ the age of 21, I can testify to just how deep is the focus upon Cuba by its expatriates living in America. It is THE major issue for that community, nothing else even comes close.

Because of this, there is no possibility whatsoever that Marco Rubio is not deeply aware of all of the aspects of immigration, both legal and illegal.

Which means he KNOWS that neither congressional democrats nor Obama will ever honor any promise, regulation or law to secure the border. He KNOWS that 70+% of immigrants both legal and illegal vote democrat. He KNOWS that providing a path for 11-50 MILLION “undocumented” democrats guarantees one-party rule in America.

But none of that mattered, the most compelling of reasons to oppose legalizing illegal immigrants were as nothing compared to personal ambition.

And all of this makes it likely that Rubio’s taking a Miami Dolphins cheerleader to wife had everything to do with his political ambitions.

Rubio being an Hispanic is politically, a strong plus for the VP. Elected to the VP and likely the Presidency at some point, his lack of character however, cannot but lead to further ruin for this nation.

  6. “..taking a Miami Dolphins cheerleader to wife had everything to do with his political ambitions.”

You lost me with this comment. WTF?

  7. “White Hispanic” indeed. And who shall call out the mainstream media for their hard core race-obsessed racism?

  8. Barack Obama is 17 days older than I. I don’t understand why he is considered young, and I am middle aged.

  9. SCOTTtheBADGER:

Well, it depends who’s doing the talking.

I, for one, consider you young 🙂 .

  10. …he actually listens to rap, hip-hop and similar abominations.

So basically, the guy likes listening to junk. Got it.

  11. Although mostly it deals with celebrities I either have no knowledge of, or have no interest in, I enjoy TMZ in small doses for its snarkiness. But it definitely is geared to the Dumbest Generation.
