Waging the PsyWar — 25 Comments

  1. A good start to that end would be ending the “religion of peace” idiocy. It isn’t true now and never has been.

  2. The West will have to suffer terrible loses before it finally accepts reality and admits we are in war of civilization versus a savage, relentless ideology that is hell bent on our utter destruction.

  3. ”I don’t know what more could be done to make it clear.”

It need not be made clear. It needs only to be made memetic. It needs only to be the default postulation. It needs only to throb in the heads of appeasers like a migraine. If it succeeds in no other way than triggering incessant denials, explanations, excuses, obfuscations then it will have done its part and put Islam and its apologists forever on the defensive.

And the propaganda need not be propagandish. Any contention that this was the work of slanderers libelers, defamers, and Islamophobes could be easily refuted – that, indeed, the muse had been Islam’s own children, ISIS, al Queda, Al Shabaab, Boko Haram, the Taliban, etc. and the entertainments, i.e., the beheadings, stonings, hangings, limb loppings, etc. all their own production.

  4. “I say “good luck with that deportation stuff.””

Well, if we can’t deport them, can we plant them?

  5. The flaw in this theory is that those PsyOps posters were created back when democrats actually loved America and wanted to see her survive. That’s not the case today.

  6. I had an old liberal birdbrain friend trapped in my car for some hours this weekend. We had a big argument about this very thing. For about two hours, I tried to get her to answer this question: “Why don’t liberals give a damn about all the muslim atrocities around the world? Burning people alive in cages? Throwing homosexuals off of buildings and stoning them to death? mutilating little girls? beheading Christians????”

It was amazing. She simply Would Not Address the Question. It was worse than trying to pill a cat: she fought, she counterattacked, she accused me at one point of approving of Cromwell and the Pale in Ireland; she kept changing the subject: in short, she did Everything except answer the damn question.

THEN she said something jaw-droppingly insane: “I feel like Muslim Americans have been incredibly forebearing, considering all the bad treatment they’ve suffered at the hands of Americans.”

?!?!?!?!? WHAT bad treatment? I demanded, outraged.

“Well,” (sanctimoniously poisonous) “all the Discrimination they face from people like YOU who think they’re ALL Terrorists.”

This, I told her, was insane. She sniffed (literally). I asked her to Name One Instance, just One, of such “bad treatment,” and she had nothing. Not a single case. Said she knows “five lovely muslim couples” and she’s “sure” they’ve “suffered abuse” at the hands of the Ugly Americans[TM].

“Yeah? Well, ask them, and when you hear of something, Get Back to Me On That,” I said. So she switched gears:

“I bet you think all the Jews are Perfect,” she sneered. “And they’ve never done Anything wrong.” Etc., etc. She’s in her 60s and has managed to forget all the wars by the Arabs against Israel, all Israel’s “land for peace” attempts, etc. Literally. Drew a blank on all of that.

Bottom line: Nothing I said shifted her, nothing shook her concrete-headed obstinacy. Absolutely amazing. I finally gave up, saying I had left the Democrats because of such moral blindness and refusal to stand for their alleged values (human rights etc.). She shrugged and looked out her window, clearly fuming.

She was and is almost entirely ignorant of the facts and history of the Muslim atrocities and wars of conquest/extermination. Second: she kept saying we shouldn’t be “interfering” in foreign affairs; that atrocities committed overseas are no business of ours. Third: Conservatives are always the bad guys, no matter what. Essentially, if you’re a conservative, you might as well start making your bedsheet costume. Because, racism. Fourth: I told her I hated jihadis, and she twisted that into “you hate all muslims, which gave me chills.” Fifth: She has no loyalty to or understanding of her own civilization, and thinks, paradoxically, that this soft nest will last forever, and needs no maintenance or defense.

I dunno. That was my test case: if you had a chance to have a “cage match” with a captive liberal idiot, could you prevail? I tried everything, including appealing to her alleged values, and nuthin’. I think what it comes down to is that they are completely tribal — their tribe is Good and Great, and the Enemy Tribe is Bad and Awful, and nothing, nothing else matters.

    Really mind-boggling.

  7. Beverly,

Attempting to have a rational, fact based conversation with leftists is a non-starter. Kool-aid drinkers got to drink kool-aid.

  8. The first order of business is to clean house. All of the vileness of the left must be exposed and they must be discredited.
If they are allowed to remain, possibly in the hopes of conversion, it will take an atrocity of mind-blowing proportions to wake most of them up.
Conservatives also need to clean out the RINOs.
Boehner and McConnell have lived up to every criticism made against them.

  9. Beverly–

Thanks for relating that story. I don’t usually bother trying to have a rational discussion with a liberal because, as parker pointed out, it’s just not possible. They don’t believe reality exists and therefore believe that facts and logic are fluid. Like the Muslims, liberals are motivated by death (yours, not theirs). Once you understand that, it makes things much more clear. They are not your friends.

Liberals May Regret Their New Rules

  10. Beverly:

People who are so certain of their own virtue and the utter depravity of their adversaries are capable of anything.

She might not personally shove conservatives into the ovens, but she would think that we got what we deserved.

  11. Government fall for ONE PRIMARY REASON.

Their own elites turn on each other.

Most famously, Ben Franklin — THE ‘King’s man’ — flipped sides after being humiliated and frustrated in London while representing the economic interests of the Colonies. ( Three in particular, IIRC)

He picked up Thomas Paine — the Irshman — and paid his transit to America — travelling as a duo!

Thomas Jefferson never took credit for the Declaration of Independence — for he deemed it nothing more than a re-statement of Thomas Paine’s arguments.

    &&&&&&

The Turks over ran Anatolia, crushing the Romans, because the Roman commander of horse deliberately abandoned his rival commander of the infantry.

The French Revolution consisted of elites falling out…

The OTHER historically common reason for a revolution / collapse in the old order is a viral pandemic/ food crisis, the latter being a huge feature in the French Revolution, too.

The super drought of 536-539AD destroyed multiple civilizations… and almost destroyed the Eastern Roman Empire. It had the Emperor on the boat out of town before his lover talked him back onto the dock!

The turmoil of one century ago was actually due to the Spanish flu — now known to be an Avian flu variant, if not the exact same virus!

    http://wwwnc.cdc.gov/eid/article/12/1/pdfs/05-0979.pdf

It was this disease that terminated WWI and caused the various naval barracks mutinies. (German, Russian) All other accounts of said mutinies are bogus. The authorities used war powers to censor the truth entirely from the record.

    &&&&&

The SDI gambit was a trivial factor. Gorby is lying.

The REAL factor – – made plain by the perpetrators, themselves — was the catastrophic defeat of the Soviet military scheme / system/ European battle plan — in the deserts of Kuwait and Iraq.

ALL of the players whose incompetence was exposed by Desert Storm’s walk-over victory were cashiered out of the Soviet system.

This was the boiling turmoil that triggered the counter-Gorby faction to move against him mid-August 1991 — EXACTLY when Gorby would be down on the Black sea coast — taking vacation.

All of the other ‘reasons’ are self referential pats-on-the-back for America’s own factions.

It’s notable that the US Army kept its (official) mouth shut about all of these events. Gloating would not have been to the Pentagon’s advantage.

Indeed, its institutional brain immediately turned to the next terror: downsizing the American armed forces. That prospect had many an officer misty-eyed for the just departed Cold War.

  12. Wake me up when the fascists foreign or domestic invade NE Iowa. Until then they will not be within my 400 yard dead zone. When the time comes, we will each do what we can. Unintended consequences are a b*tch. Bludgeons and blades will win the next civil war that demoralizes progs and makes them realize their homes can burn down as they sleep. They know not what they wish for. For my grandchildren I am ready to die…. and the horse they rode in on.

  13. @Beverly

    >> Fourth: I told her I hated jihadis, and she twisted that into “you hate all muslims, which gave me chills.”

Europe left is the EXACTLY the same (included the other four points).

I have tried to explain several time that it´s not a matter of hate, but of logic. I don´t want muslims in Europe. But I don´t hate them. Indeed, I consider that they are the very first victims of Islam.

I wouldn´t like to import several millions of people with Ebola to see them walk in the streets of Europe. But that doesn´t mean that I hate people who suffer Ebola (why should I?). It just means that bringing to your house some people with a contagious dangerous illness just endangers everybody. It´s not hate, it´s CAUTION. However, no matter how much you explain this concept, it goes back always to the same: hate, hate, hate.

In my opinion, people who are driven mainly by love or hate just can´t understand that other people make choices based in different elements.

  14. Beverly, 7:42 pm —

I’ll take the lazy way out and let someone do my talking for me — in this instance, Mark Twain:

“Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.”

  15. Beverly, 7:42 pm —

And while we’re at it, do bear in mind the sage wisdom proffered by George Carlin:

“Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.”

  16. Beverly’s friend made copious use of the psychological defense mechanisms of denial and projection. That means that she was vulnerable to the inherent contradictions in her belief system which Beverly pointed out and that she knew it. Since Beverly was using logical arguments her friend had to rely on the faulty pseudo logical fallacies of Tu Quoque and sloppy use of analogy. She even had to create straw men to make her tu quoque arguments appear plausible. Those psychological defense mechanisms and logical fallacies are ubiquitous on the left because the left could not survive without them.

The question then comes down to exactly who is Beverly’s friend and what is she trying to protect. Her friend obviously has no problem when people she likes burns people alive, murders homosexuals, and suppresses women. The fact that she can accept those evils without difficulty means that there is something deeper which she values above her stated values of female and homosexual emancipation.

My take on Beverly’s friend and on the left in general is that their real agenda is a much more profound emancipation, an emancipation of the savage beast which is hedged in by the rules set in place by Judaism/Christianity and which have been built into our society.

One of the most controversial modern philosophers is Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche who captured the moral consequences for Western Civilization because the intellectuals have rejected God. His claims are all the more chilling since Nietzsche was himself a former believer who spoke about his own transition towards what he termed a manly paganism in which the will to power over other people is the highest good. Nietzsche like modern leftists loved Islam because the moral code in Islam is so similar to the natural behaviors of an uncivilized man who indulges his lusts freely at the expense of anyone who is weaker.

  17. I’m in a group of Catholics who continued to meet after a 4 year class. Most, if not all, are liberals. I think they suspect me, but I keep a low profile.

We take turns leading the prayer. One guy brought in several older prayers, and as we took turns leading them, one woman nearly choked. Her older prayer referenced praying for muslims, and referenced either paganism or heresy.

After class, one more outspoken woman said something to the guy who brought it, along the lines of how we Catholics no longer think that way about muslims, and how it could seem that he thought islam was a religion of violence. His very brief answer (said with a smile) was ‘well, if the shoe fits…’

I’m still admiring his restrained reply. People are so brainwashed.

And yes, most liberals believe the worst about conservatives. Many years ago, I mentioned something political to a liberal ‘friend’. She openly refused to talk about it, which was fine. But I had to mention to her that I was upset that regular liberals thought regular conservatives were evil. And did she think that too? She angrily refused to discuss it.

Her refusal was enough of an answer. That exchange made me realize what we truly are dealing with.

  18. Neo: “I’m not at all sure that PC thought hasn’t largely eliminated our ability to do so.”

There’s your answer. Take a step back and step down and work on the level of values, principles, and premises to correct the “PC thought”, reset the foundation, and then address the issues.

We need to reframe the zeitgeist at the core, fundamental, foundational level.

A reason I advocate for setting the record straight on the ‘why’ of Operation Iraqi Freedom – apart from the issue itself – is all the fundamental values, principles, and premises of American leadership of the free world were invested in the Iraq mission since 1990, not just OIF.

Competitors like Russia understand stigmatizing the paradigm of OIF subverts the premise of American leadership of the free world not limited to Iraq nor limited even to the Middle East for that matter.

As I’ve said here before, the false narrative against OIF is patient zero for the rest. If you can set the record straight on OIF in the zeitgeist, while reviving OIF’s intrinsic fundamental values, principles, and premises of American leadership, then you’ll restore the core building block necessary to reframe the whole discourse in order to constructively address the spectrum of issues that relate to American leadership of the free world.

  19. Beverly,

The notion your friend ought to understand is the civilizational nature of humankind is competitive. Activist.

We can aspire to Locke, but to do so effectively, we must serve Hobbes. In other words, building peace on our terms requires dominance and control on our terms. We can afford to be fuzzy about some things only if we’re clear about the fundamentals.

To change the politics, change the culture.

  21. “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation;
and every house divided against itself shall not stand.”

    Elites infighting is not new.

The USSR had been riding the path to penury for decades.

Nothing stirred until the top players turned on each other.

And their trigger event was the shattering of the Stalinist dream — when Desert Storm took their proxy apart using the same everything that would’ve been used in Europe.

  22. }}} to use some very un-PC words

There lies your secret. To reject and vilify not just PC but the entire PostModernist Moral Relativist mindset behind it.

PostModernist Liberalism is a cancer eating away at the foundations of Western Civ. It directly attacks the essential underpinnings of it, and that is — and has always been — its aim.

When the proud and arrogant Classical Liberals of post WWI looked at what their arrogantly “superior” culture had done with all the wonders they had created, a large percentage of them turned on modern western civ with a vengeance, and, in the course of the ensuing decades, turned on western civ with a vengeance.

And the twisted distortion of PostModern Liberalism is the result. It aims to destroy everything that makes Western Civ worthwhile — its Judeo-Christian elements, as well as the heritage of Greek thought and ideals. If you look closely at many of its techniques, they are aimed to directly counter or oppose, and to denigrate and belie, classical notions of Truth, Quality, Decency, Honor, Faith, and Loyalty. It would be hard to deliberately invent a system more diametrically opposed to everything that makes Western Civ work, and work so incredibly well. A future, more than likely impoverished, generation will likely damn the Western Intellectuals from the 20s to the 70s, who did everything possible to destroy the wealthiest, most prosperous and generous civilization humans have ever produced.

What We Lost In The Great War

  23. Whoop. DOH.

in the course of the ensuing decades, turned on western civ with a vengeance.

    Should have been:
    =========================
in the course of the ensuing decades, began an array of scurrilous and undermining attacks on the basis for Western Civ. Deconstruction, Moral Relativism, Attacks on science and the scientific method, attacks on free speech and free thought, all aspects of Christianity and Judaism…
