Iran says… — 9 Comments

  1. There is no upside to agreeing to anything less than what they want. This is just a delaying tactic, when they do get the bomb, they will just say: “What are you going to do about it now?” The answer from Chairman O will be the same: Nothing.

  2. The Iranians know that Obama has already accepted Iran’s pursuit of nukes and will not, under any circumstance, prevent Iran from getting nukes. As much as this is a slap in Obama’s face, the Iranians conducting war games a few days ago in which a mock-up of a US Carrier was sunk is a kick in Obama’s teeth. It is an indication of total contempt.

They also know that the EU nations will go along with Obama’s charade and that Russia and China have Iran’s ‘back’.

  3. Yes, but democrats cannot hear Iran’s words. They were drowned out by the EXPLOSIONS and other noise generated by Iran’s blowing up a mock United States’ aircraft carrier just off their coast.
Perhaps, now that the explosions have subsided, they could repeat themselves?

I am selling my new bumper stickers. I am willing to give neo-neocon a portion of the proceeds.
    1.)
“DEATH TO AMERICA, DEATH TO AMERICA”.
    2.)
    “AMERICA, THE GREAT SATAN”

  4. As for Iran’s latest rejection of Obama’s request:

There is only one thing to do——give them more concessions. These are only a few to start with:

1.) Commit that America will purchase a specified amount of oil through Iran at a specified, negotiated premium (above market price).

2.) Commit that all future TWEETS sent out by Iran’s leadership will be transmitted on America’s Public Television networks and NPR.

3.) Commit that any “stonings” that Iran conducts will be available on “PAY-PER-VIEW” basis in the United States.

  5. I’ll suggest the same “Choice” to the Mullahs which I suggested to Jimmy Carter 35-years ago during the Hostage Crisis: Give the Persian Islamic Slime notice that in 1-week their largest oil field will be hit by Fuel Air Explosives and reduced to ash. Or, they can invite weapons inspectors into any and all sites. And then carry out the threat if they ‘don’t get it’. Follow-up by saying that mid-way through the following week the next biggest oil field will be destroyed if they choose to resist inspections and Nuke Disarmament further.

Remember when our hostages were released? On the Inauguration Day of Ronald Reagan. Questions?

  6. Range of Light:

The options you suggest have been taken off the table by the Obama Administration. Iran acts as it does precisely because it knows it need not fear such things.

And that is why, as Neo puts it, the Iranians are laughing at us now… because they can. Their impudence has no downside for them, no cost.

Some people believe that removing the military option is the civilized thing to do. What they fail to realize is that, when your opponent respects only military strength, taking the military option off the table ensures that nothing less will do. Paradoxically, keeping the military option firmly in that opponent’s mind actually makes other options possible.

Put it a different way. We have gotten used to hearing that “violence is the last resort”… and many of us believe this earnestly. But what if you’re facing an opponent who has no problem using violence as his first resort, or his second or third? He starts out prepared to meet violence with violence… and when he sees an utter lack of preparation to fight, contempt is a very natural reaction indeed. And why should he negotiate, when he’s prepared to kill you, at his convenience, after negotiations are complete?

If, on the other hand, he is not only met with a willingness to fight back — and a perceived ability to win, and impose any terms desired — then negotiation suddenly seems preferable to fighting.

  7. Mocked by his peers in tyranny, the tyrant Obama will take out his frustrations on his American underling subjects. It’s like the proverbial kicking the dog after a bad day at work.

Truth is, the dog he kicks – us – is truly a dog that deserves to be kicked by this horrid and horrible man. We elected him.

  8. And, no doubt, Obama will bow lower and grovel more because America did something wrong in its past that he needs to apologize for.

Now, if it were a typical white American or a Republican then he would say “God Damn America” and stand up for a fight.

  9. I’m sure he’ll be happy to grab his ankles on our behalf if Iran suggests it. “Bend over, we’re driving” translates roughly to “hope and change” in Farsi. I doubt that Kerry would even have the brains to plead for the KY jelly.
