A winning combination
If Catherine Deneuve and Marcello Mastroianni had a love child, what would she look like?
Think that’s an idle question? Meet Chiari Mastroianni:
Profession? Actress, of course.
Who knew those two had a daughter? Here’s what she has to say about them:
I’ve never seen my parents together, never in my whole life” she says. “They split when I was two, so I’ve no recollection of them as a couple. I’ve never even seen them kiss ”“ except in the movies.”
Deneuve I can take or leave, but I’m a big Mastroianni fan. To see him in any of the comedies he made with Sophia Loren is joy itself, although he tended to play weak men who are not especially admirable. But he had the most wonderful self-mocking, tongue-in-cheek, impish quality.
I don’t see much of Denueve in Chiari. But Mastroianni is there, don’t you think?:
Whimsically, this piqued my interest, so I did a bit of research. Chiari was born in 1972. He was 38 and she 29.
Here’s a picture of Mastroianni. Here one of Deneuve. I think I see the mother in the daughter’s facial bone structure, especially in the overall shape of the head. You may wish to update the post neo, so that other’s may decide for themselves.
Sorry, Neo, but the young lady looks like her mother more than her father, though I can see him in her face, too, especially in the shape of the lower jaw.
Just to add a bit, like neo I definitely think that Chiari favors her father in her looks, I just see a bit more of the mother in her.
I think she resembles Mastroianni more than Deneuve. The eyes, the mouth and the chin, especially the chin.
The MOM is more attractive than the daughter & she looks like a blend of both.
Chiara looks like both her parents, but I think most closely resembles her father. Here they are together when she was a child, and here when she’s grown up. It’s the eyes, and in the later photo, the profiles are almost a perfect match.
Yep…I can see plenty of Catherine in that gorgeous girl. WOW..!!
How interesting, Neo. Deneuve made so many of our hearts race faster. Evidently that held true for Mastroianni as well.
the whiskey eyes.
