Obama: killing a whole flock of birds with one stone — 11 Comments

  1. If Iran and the U.S. are going to be using the same air space over Iraq, we do need to talk.

  2. Bho does not care if the Iranians develop nukes. Its that simple. A meaningless, unenforceable treaty will allow the msm to swoon and adore him. That is the most important thing in his world.

  3. At least Kennedy knew when he got his clock cleaned.
Obozo will not know it until he sees the Mushroom cloud and then he will say- “It’s Bush’s Fault.”

Even back in 2009 he was just as arrogant as he is today 🙁

JFK famously got his clock cleaned by Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev at their June 1961 summit meeting in Vienna.
He knew it too. Right after the meeting he confided to NYT columnist Scotty Reston that it was one of the “roughest” moments of his life. “He just beat the hell out of me,” Kennedy admitted.
So I asked President Obama if there were any similar moments over the last eight months where he took a step back and told himself: “Man, I need to step up my game.”
    Here’s what he said:
OBAMA: You know, it’s an interesting question. I – I mean I don’t mean to be immodest here, but I don’t think I’ve had that moment with a – with a world leader, where I said gee, you know – you know, we’ve got to really tighten things up.

  4. Now we hear that Obama has just authorized sending 1,500 more troops to Iraq. If he truly wanted to sink the U.S. role in the Middle East, why would he be doing that?

I’m coming down on the fool side re Iran.

  5. Thought experiment:

If Obama wanted the U.S. completely humbled and out of the Middle East, our influence in places like Egypt completely gone with hostile regimes in their places, Israel gone and Muslim hegemony complete

    what would he do differently?

  6. Last summer, my son talked me into taking him to “White House Down.” The movie’s ridiculous premise was this: President Jamie Foxx is partnering with Iran to get all other countries with nukes to join them in eliminating these nuclear weapons. As a result of this, and the death of his soldier son, the head of the Secret Service assembles a list of the very worst terrorists (using the presidential daily briefing) – all of whom just happen to be white, American men, including some special forces guys – and attacks the White House.

I thought this premise was just too ridiculous at every level. And yet one year later I find out that this is how our president sees the world:
Iran = a viable peace partner
US citizens = biggest security threat.

It is insane. And we’re years past the point where one could reasonably still believe him just a knave.

  7. John Bolton says that he secret letter is normal diplomacy. He is more worried about Obama’s desperation to ink a deal even if it is not a good deal. Based on John Bolton’s interview I vote fool in this case.

  8. Can you imagine, is it possible, that the leader of the most fearsome army ever (USA) should appear as a supplicant? Obama’s inner allegiance is to any strongman, whether Islamic, Fascist, or Communist. He is the perfect example of a Cocker Spaniel, a dog that will bite any who approach the master and lick the master’s hand.

  9. Obama’s behavior is completely predictable. One can assume it will be 180 degrees away from any rational policy with the apparent goal of producing a humiliating defeat for the US and a pat on the back from Tom Friedman.
We should try writing comments about acts Obama has not taken yet. All we will have to do is fill in the blanks.
“Yesterday President Obama ordered ____ even though there is clearly no chance of success due to ____ and both the outcome and progress will be detrimental to the US. Furthermore both his advisers and Congress warned him against such an action.”
