What do women want?
The answer to that age-old question?:
Republicans.
At least, that’s the answer at the moment, 44% to 42%.
[NOTE: The title of this post is a riff on Freud’s Freud’s famous question to Marie Bonaparte:
The great question that has never been answered, and which I have not yet been able to answer, despite my thirty years of research into the feminine soul, is “What does a woman want?”
How could there possibly be a single answer?]
[ADDENDUM: And here’s an interesting article proposing that the answer to Freud’s question, at least in the sexual arena, is “to be desired.”]
Fulfillment. Ideally, in every area and on every level.
Of course women want to be desired, and they also want to feel safe. Given borders open to disease carriers and latino gangs, jihad youtube beheadings, and a rigged economy; women, especially single women, seek protection. And, no matter which way they may lean politically, they instinctively know who is most likely to be protective of women and children in the real world.
Ladies: WELCOME Aboard. Now, put the Koolaid down. Gooood. Now, very slowly, step away fr5om that glass. Gooooood.
A question no woman will ever answer. Not even here.
Remember “The Rules” from 20-some years ago? The 1st Rule was: “The woman always makes The Rules.” The 15th Rule was: “The woman can change The Rules at any time.”
‘Nuff said. The Little Rascals. We standeth not a chance, Guys.
Ha! Ignore them. They can’t stand it.
Neo,
You are an exception, but for a great many, I would say chocolate. After that, we can move on to picking up socks and putting cups in the dishwasher.
It doesn’t seem to have occurred to Freud, or the Democratic party, that different women want different things.
expat: Nicely put!!
NeoConScum: I point you to the master:
“Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs might as well get used to it.”
— Robert A. Heinlein
Geoffrey Britain: I believe if you change that from a desire for “fulfillment” to a desire “to be appreciated”, it actually applies to men as well as women.
