  1. so much we are all missing..
    like ‘Operation Choke Point’

Operation Choke Point, so dubbed by Department of Justice officials under Attorney General Eric Holder, seeks to weed out businesses from the marketplace that the Obama administration considers objectionable. According to The Wall Street Journal, it was an outgrowth of the Financial Fraud Task Force, established by President Obama’s executive order early in his first term.

  2. and WHO is William Wilberforce?

William Wilberforce (24 August 1759 — 29 July 1833) was an English politician, philanthropist, and a leader of the movement to abolish the slave trade.

Wilberforce was convinced of the importance of religion, morality and education. He championed causes and campaigns such as the Society for the Suppression of Vice, British missionary work in India, the creation of a free colony in Sierra Leone, the foundation of the Church Mission Society, and the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

n later years, Wilberforce supported the campaign for the complete abolition of slavery, and continued his involvement after 1826, when he resigned from Parliament because of his failing health. That campaign led to the Slavery Abolition Act 1833, which abolished slavery in most of the British Empire; Wilberforce died just three days after hearing that the passage of the Act through Parliament was assured. He was buried in Westminster Abbey, close to his friend William Pitt.

[not to be confused with the william bit in diapers in the democratic underground]

now… when someone who is black complains about america, why not ask them why they did not go to sierra leone?

Beginning in 1808 (following the abolition of the slave trade in 1807), British crews delivered thousands of formerly enslaved Africans to Freetown, after liberating them from illegal slaves ships. Most of these Liberated Africans or ‘Recaptives’ chose to remain in Sierra Leone. Cut off from their various homelands and traditions, the Liberated Africans assimilated the Western styles of Settlers and Maroons. They built a flourishing trade in flowers and beads on the West African coast. These returned Africans were from many areas of Africa, but principally the west coast. During the 19th century, freed black Americans, some Americo Liberian ‘refugees’, and particularly West Indians, also immigrated and settled in Freetown. Together these peoples created a new creole ethnicity called the Krio people (initially called Creoles) and a trading language, Krio, which became commonly used among many of the ethnicities in the country.

worked out so well, they did it agian with israel

  3. intgeresting times are getting more interesting

The House voted Monday to cut more than $1 billion from the IRS’s tax enforcement budget, giving Republicans a big helping of revenge against an agency they’ve battled all year.
Members of the House this week are considering the Financial Services and General Government Appropriations Act for fiscal year 2015. The bill being debated on the House floor would already cut IRS funding by $341 million compared to the current fiscal year.
The biggest reduction came from Rep. Bill Huizenga (R-Mich.), who proposed a whopping $788 million cut from the IRS’s $5 billion tax enforcement budget.
“The IRS has been targeting American taxpayers, as we’ve learned, for their political beliefs for the last four or five years,” Huizenga said. “During this period, a culture of shading the truth was fostered and developed by directors and administrators throughout the IRS.

  4. According to the Rundschau, student organization Left-SDS, Islamists and some members of the Neo-Nazi group National Socialists Rhein-Main attended the anti-Israel protest. Flags from Turkey, Iraq, Saudi Arabia and Hamas were on display at the protest. Banners compared Prime Minister Netanyahu with Adolf Hitler.

  5. Well does anyone think that congress will stay until something is passed to address this situation or will they just head out of town and leave it as is?

  6. ther are a whole lotta laws that we are missing!!!

Like “Mrs. Obama’s Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010”

bet you didnt know she could write laws…

The new government regulations require snack items served in public schools to have less than two hundred calories. That includes vending machines, lunch rooms and other campus food venues.

South Carolina’s Socastee High School just learned they will no longer be allowed to buy Chick-fil-A sandwiches at school.

“They don’t meet the standards,” Principal Paul Browning told the Myrtle Beach Sun News

of coursse, we never did have that discussion about the point i made as to delegating powers to the councils as in a soviet, is not constitutional… but then again, what is a constitution, when those sworn to protect it arent doing so,and those who wanted it protected do nothing?

“The Chick-fil-A profits went directly to the field trips,” the principal told the newspaper. “We’ve got to raise some money, but we will figure something out.”

    here is a idea.
why not hand pamplets out to the mexicans at the border describing that mrs obama will make sure they no longer eat that cultuiral food crap they like from home…

  7. In addition to the destruction of former IRS official Lois Lerner’s computer hard drive, the Federal Election Commission recycled the hard drive of one of her former employees, adding to the list of emails that have gone missing

    ==============

Rep. Bruce Braley (D-IA) is running for a US Senate seat in the Hawkeye State. But he recently ran into a bit of trouble when he was caught on camera, in Mitt Romney-like fashion, sneering about farmers and the state’s favorite Republican elder statesman.

[so he will sue his neighbors… but notice that such articles about Dems doing bad, start with REP, so that the less bright remember it was a REPublican not democrat]

  8. be carefyul what you sasy here Tovarish

Police investigating anti-immigrant graffiti as hate crime

Message spray-painted on former Army Reserve Center in Westminster, where feds had been considering housing immigrant children

The graffiti was sprayed sometime Saturday night or early Sunday morning, according to Lt. Patrick McCrory, commander of the state police Westminster barracks. The graffiti said “NO ILLEAGLES [sic] HERE NO UNDOCUMENTED DEMOCRATS.”

so be careful what conversations you have now.. you may go to jail for a hate crime. ultimately, thats what happens when the armchair revolutionaries keep chatting till what they talk about is illegal…

  9. Obama administration fights to seize Microsoft emails held in IRELAND in landmark legal battle
The U.S. federal government is claiming that it can force any company that conducts business operations within its borders to comply with warrants for data stored on its databases, even if those databases aren’t physically located within the United States. ‘Overseas records must be disclosed domestically when a valid subpoena, order, or warrant compels their production,’ the Justice Department wrote in its brief. ‘The disclosure of records under such circumstances has never been considered tantamount to a physical search under Fourth Amendment principles, and Microsoft is mistaken to argue that the SCA provides for an overseas search here. As there is no overseas search or seizure, Microsoft’s reliance on principles of extra-territoriality and comity falls wide of the mark.’

‘Congress has not authorized the issuance of warrants that reach outside US territory,’ Microsoft’s attorneys wrote. ‘The government cannot seek and a court cannot issue a warrant allowing federal agents to break down the doors of Microsoft’s Dublin facility.’

  10. forgot to add.

maybe microsoft should just say they loaned them to lerner, and she has them… voila… all fixed.

  11. The University of Colorado Boulder has offered a clinic called “Football 101 for Women” since sometime when Bill Clinton was president. Some feminist alumni recently found out about it. Now, they are mad. The angry alumni say the clinic condescendingly promotes the stereotype that women don’t understand sports, or don’t care about them, reports the Daily Camera, Boulder’s main newspaper.

    but on another note…

“Choking,” “whipping,” and “tying up” are a few of the sadistic sexual behaviors Planned Parenthood staffers in Denver were caught on camera promoting to underage girls as part of Obamacare-supported “sex education” inside their facilities

wish they would make up their minds, are they born hookers and sex toys, or are they sports minded… if sports minded, then why is cheerleading not a sport under title IX? ah, the questions we never asked bout the law, rules changeing, etc..

well given that they just killed Archie, to save a gay character… perhaps its better to ask THOR

Marvel’s ‘Thor’ Is Now A Woman
Marvel has given an upgrade to one of its biggest superheroes. And by that we mean: there’s a new superlady in town and she’s wielding the hammer of Thor! As announced on “The View,” and confirmed by Marvel, a new comic written by Jason Aaron, with art by Russell Dauterman will launch ongoing this Fall, after the original God of Thunder loses the ability to wield his signature hammer.

  12. Unintended Consequences! Congressional attempts to solve (real or imagined) problems; government regulations imposed by bureaucratic fiat; government implementation of big programs, all have one thing in common–unintended consequences.

I heard a report this morning that Congress hopes to pass legislation to resolve the issue of the 2008 law. I don’t know the detail, because I cannot bear to listen.

I do know that our elected Representatives think that the solution to every problem is more legislation, accompanied of course by more government spending. The invariable result–as predictable as drought in California.

I wrote to my Congressman today–don’t laugh. I stated that this Administration is undercutting two of the pillars of society; i.e., voluntary respect for, and adherence to, the laws by individuals, and faith that laws will be administered evenly by government. Once these pillars are gone, who can predict where society will go?

These fundamentals are never discussed in the hyperbole about the humanitarian crisis.

I also commented that the problem can not be solved inside our borders. Reagan tried that with his amnesty program; which was supposed to include secure borders. It did not, here we are.
There is a tidal wave of humanity pushing against our southern border. Short term crisis management will not hold it back.

  13. More to the general point of your post:

Whether Congress amends Wilberforce or not doesn’t matter.
The general principle is: if the chief executive is lawless, no law will stop him. (same argument as gun rights, actually)
The argument is even wider than just the president, and extends over the whole people of the U.S.
It is the realization of John Adams’ quote, “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”

For Congress to propose laws to solve the problem is dithering, if not kabuki.

The only thing that will stop him is action. Either by the citizens, or by Congress cutting off funding.

  14. There is actually one other way I can think of to undercut Obama, and it’s poetic justice:

Obama is always expanding the power of the executive. Why can’t Congress do the same?

Have Congress pass a law “deputizing” citizens to control the border.
I realize this will instantly cause a Constitutional crisis, since the executive branch is the one that’s supposed to execute laws.
But why can’t Congress force the issue?

By Obama’s own game plan, what’s he gonna do? Take Congress to court? How long would that take?

At the very least, it will force Reid to block the measure…which will look bad for Dems. After 2014 (assuming Republicans take the Senate), this would bear even greater fruit as Obama himself would be put in the position of vetoing such bills.

  15. On second thought, this wouldn’t work. It would require a Congress that actually wanted the border secured, and we already know that many of them don’t.

    Back to civil disobedience, then.

  16. Matt_SE:

Another possibility is that the governors of the affected states could declare an emergency and call up their state National Guard units, capture and deport the aliens themselves, and dare the Feds to do something about it.

But that would require governors who cared more about solving the problem than political positioning.

  17. rickl, I saw Perry on Hannity’s show. He explained that he is busting his budget now using more State Patrol and Texas Rangers to help the Border Patrol. He doesn’t have the money to call out the Guard unless the Feds will pay for it.

It is the Feds job to control the border. It is part of the oath to protect and defend the country that the president swears to do when sworn in. He isn’t doing his duty. Which is no surprise to neo’s readers, but it would be nice of someone in the MSM noticed.

Old Flyer, good on ya for writing. Glad to know I’m not the only one. We’re a couple of old Nazal Radiators – no wonder we think alike.

  18. J.J.:

Obviously, the Feds aren’t going to pay for it and they aren’t going to control the border. They have proven that they have no intention of doing so.

So the states need to step up and do it themselves. The governors of the border states need to get defiant towards the Feds. They could take the money out of their welfare budgets. They could call for resources and backup from other like-minded states.

The Federal government is criminal and illegitimate, and it is time to bring this matter to a head.

  19. “America is still the political light of the world — in his disordered soul, even the liberal must dimly recognize this, for why would all these wretches want to come here? — but they won’t rest until the light is extinguished and we are finally not a smidgen less exceptional than Greece or Mexico or Detroit.”

    Gaddad Bob making sense.

  20. If the invasion of Iraq had been a success, Democrats worried that the same torch bearing liberty might come to Chicago, Los Angeles, New Orleans, etc. It may even come to Latin America and Mexico, and then where would the Leftist aristocrats find slaves to cook and clean for their mansions…

But nobody thought of it that way, at the time. They were too busy eating off the fruits of the Golden Age. Well, the Golden Age of America is over.

  21. So Obama wants to flood America with immigrants in order to win a permanent Democratic majority? Is that the dog whistle conspiracy theory being peddled here?

  22. No, David.
The conspiracy theory being peddled here is that you’re a Democratic plant.

  23. Dav, you know that if they find you talking to conservatives at blacklisted sites, they will cut your consultation fee…

  24. It’s better than us informing the ATF and IRS’s Holder, that Dav here is going rogue and defecting to our side. Can you imagine what would happen to his house in a few weeks time, if that information filtered back up to his superiors.
