Eyebrow transplants — 17 Comments

  1. You have to be very attractive to get away with heavy eyebrows. Brooke Shields is about the only example of heavy brows not detracting from a woman’s appearance.
They are just too masculinizing (sp) for the average woman to look good with them. They look like fuzzy catepillars hanging out above your eyeball. LOL

  2. Now bald guys have a new way to do a comb-over–a
    comb-back!

    Who will be first?

  3. Women have been plucking their eyebrows to appear more attractive and now the new fad is to beef up eyebrows to look more attractive? What am I missing?

  4. Can someone explain why women like Cara Delevingne put dark circles around their eyes? I think it makes them look like a raccoon or maybe drug addicts.

  5. But this can be a very serious and troubling issue for some! I used to have full, dark, good-looking eyebrows about ten years ago. Now my eyebrows are sparse and much lighter in color, making a very noticeable difference in photos between now and then. Eyebrows that are faint and scanty can make one look older, and make one’s face less expressive. I miss my old eyebrows–and I’m a guy. At least I still have most of my hair.

  6. Andy Rooney was certainly a fan of those. His were reminiscent of Jurassic cockroaches engaged in mortal combat on his forehead.

  7. Senator Sam Ervin also had eyebrows crawling up his forehead like a scramble of sailors on cargo netting. I ran into him once in a liquor store in western NC after Watergate. The clerk volunteered Senator Sam bought that much bourbon every week, and it was a lot.

  8. Don Carlos…

Pelosi ‘bought’ cases of America’s finest on every flight west.

For top pols liquor is gifted like they’re cigars.

(They’ll slap a sticker on the bottle indicating…)

I can also think of Salma Hayek.

  10. I dye my eyebrows only as I am greying. I have Elizabeth Taylor eyebrows and I am a man. No tweezing or wax stuff. I am vain as hell about them. They are essential for my fearsome scowl. And full brows do make women look younger. And meaner.

  11. The first picture on that article is Lena Dunham. What a pig, regardless of eyebrows.

  12. Don’t be hatin’ ! I am naturally blonde and have had thick-enough brows, though each hair is very fine and only a little darker than my hair color. In my 50s now, the eyebrows are shedding and almost disappearing at the edges. I was recently wondering if it was possible to do eyebrow transplants, because I certainly would be interested if/when my brows become truly sparse. When I take the time to darken them now (using inexpensive, light-brown matte eyeshadow btw; it works at least as well as the expensive stuff I once got from a brow expert) I look so much younger. But that’s a pain, doesn’t last all day, and it is not easy to get a good effect at the outer edges where there is little hair left.
