There’s a whole lot going on, isn’t there? — 6 Comments

  1. We are so please with China and Russia and hope they have many happy decades together filled with Chinese booze and Russian food.

  2. Neo, yes, that is a fantastic commencement speech. I’m glad that you linked to it.

As for the 9/11 museum, be ready to cough up $24 for admission. The website says that they offer “free admission on Tuesday night” but one has to ask how readily available those free tickets will be.

  3. “The 9/11 museum has finally opened, and Peggy Noonan most definitely approves.”

9/11 Museum, which sits on unidentified remains of attack victims, hosts alcohol-fueled party night before opening

South Carolina woman who lost husband, son on 9/11 asked to halt emotional museum visit… for VIP party

“Susan Simon planned months ahead to spend a quiet Tuesday at the National September 11 Memorial & Museum to see where her family’s unidentified remains were kept. She had to fight just to spend a few minutes with the remains of her husband and son – initially barred by workers who were clearing the way for a cocktail party at the 9/11 Museum.”

‘You should all be ashamed of yourselves’: Sister of 9/11 victim slams museum officials for hosting cocktail party

“The National September 11 Memorial & Museum hosted a black-tie, invite-only affair Tuesday night. Among the swanky attendants were former Mayor Bloomberg and Condé Nast honchos. Family members of Sept. 11, 2001, victims are appalled anyone would celebrate on sacred ground.”

I strongly suspect that little to no mention of the religious imperatives that directly led to the actions by the perpetrators of 9/11 are displayed in the ‘museum’.

    “Now, that’s a commencement speech.”

Yes indeed, wisdom from hard won experience, what a concept!

“Europeans’ growing disillusionment with the EU and the euro.”

Almost certainly, too little, too late. An unsustainable economic system. An aging demographic. Unrestricted Muslim immigration by immigrants who refuse to assimilate. Evidenced by, a popular T-shirt worn by Muslim youth in Stockholm reads: “2030 — That’s When We Take Over.” And the Muslim rape gangs that have become rampant in Europe.

“One day, millions of men will leave the Southern Hemisphere to go to the Northern Hemisphere. And they will not go there as friends. Because they will go there to conquer it. And they will conquer it with their sons. The wombs of our women will give us victory.” Algerian leader Houari Boumedienne speaking at the UN, 1974

“Los Angeles has become “the staged auto accident capital of the U.S.””

One more example of the corruption that is becoming endemic in our society.

“More details on just what Piketty might have gotten wrong in his data and computations.

According to economic analysis by economists employed by The Guardian, Piketty did NOT get his data and computations ‘wrong’. It’s too blatant and widespread. Evidently he manipulated and thus falsified the data, so that it would appear to support his conclusions. He lied to further his ideological agenda.

“China and Russia, happy at last.”

Satisfied, yes. Happy? Not so much. Not as long as America stands as a challenge to their dominance.

  4. I’m pretty sure it was somewhere in California, if not LA, of which I read a few years ago that there was a huge problem with fake handicapped parking tags. Sorry I can’t remember the details but seems like it was believed that some very high percentage of them, like maybe a third, were bogus. That’s by way of another data point added to the evidence that we’re turning into a third-world nation.

  5. Perhaps we should do as the drivers in Russia do and all have dash cams to record everything. Fake pedestrian “accidents” have been going on there for some time, similar to the bike accidents described in the article. Now almost all cars in Russia have dash mounted cameras to protect against these claims.
